Hotel is fab. Breakfast is excellent. A mix of Balinese and western and lovely fresh fruit. Rooms are well appointed and beds comfy w nice white linens. Pool is big and beautiful (closes early 8:15pm during my stay Jan). The beach is steps away and they have loungers - so no need to rent a chair! Beach has a lot of surfing so it can be a bit rough for swimming. No rocks just sugar soft sand. The hotel is a bit dated but that didn’t bother me one bit. It’s cozy and has everything you need. Service staff were excellent though every touch point. There is lots around - including a well appointed convenience store across the street and shops and restaurants a short walk (or quick Gojek ride! Try it!) I highly recommend. I would definitely stay again!

Our room was very nice. Close to the pool and the restaurant for breakfast but very quiet. The housekeeping staff did a great job and they were in and out quickly. We loved the proximity to the beach and also the pool. We would stay here again.

Clean rooms but facilities mostly concrete and paving. No gardens around the pool or really accessible to guests. Can open room to central garden but can’t sit out there.
Pool is ok as faces the beach but it’s old and crumbling. Needs a major revamp. Old, dark and dingy.

I was initially skeptical when comparing prices with neighboring hotels and resorts, but this place exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. The garden walkway leading to the pool is beautiful, creating a serene atmosphere throughout the property.
The staff are truly the highlight — warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Breakfast is generous, delicious, and included in the stay, which adds great value.
The location couldn’t be better: just across a small street from the beach and all the activities, yet easy to retreat back to the poolside for peace and quiet.
We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

This was my second time staying at Pelangi.
I love the feel of this place.
Fantastic pool with the beach only metres away.
My room was spacious, with a huge bed and a balcony overlooking the courtyard.
The breakfast was great (Egg station) and you can eat around the pool which also has a swim up bar.
The beach has multiple restaurants with beanbags on the beach and entertainment each night and amazing sunsets.

There's a busy shopping strip not far away as well.
The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Pelangi

We stayed at Pelangi for our first 3 nights in Bali. Absolutely loved the location. The check-in was quick and an added bonus that they were able to check us in early for one of our 2 rooms booked. Beachfront location - literally across the road from Seminyak beach. The hotel pool was lovely and adequate with a nice bar. We used the hotel free shuttle bus to go into Seminyak Square for a bit of shopping - about 5to 10 mins ride. Breakfast was fab. We had a great start to our holiday.

Pelangi Bali Hotel provides great value for the nightly rate. The hotel, furniture and room sitting areas are a little dated and showing some wear. All of the rooms have more of a Juliet style balcony overlooking the garden view with no outdoor seating options. Excellent location that provides easy access to the beach (across the street) and walkable to an array of restaurants, nighlife, market and shopping.

The hotel staff was absolutely delightful. The property is located on a beautiful beach and the pool was nice. The only reason for the rating of 4 is that some rooms had moldy smell. But i take into consideration that the humidity may be a cause of it and maybe they should place humidifiers in the rooms

I loved the location, so easy to get around and with beach access at a reasonable price. The breakfast was a let down, but was par for the course of a moderate price hotel. The bathroom is very small and a struggle for 2 people to use with the biggest problem being no where to hang wet clothes at all and with swimming we had constant wet and damp clothes from rain

The lobby, pool, restaurant and other facilities are 4.5 star but the room itself seemed like an old motel room. The staff wad amazing and location perfect. The boardwalk came alive every evening with lights, fireworks, food, live music at some places and DJ at others. We walked to Pelangi Square which was around 20mins away.

If they renovate the rooms this would be a great place

It ticked all the boxes.. but yet something was still missing. I felt like they could have made a bit more of an effort with breakfast, the area is right next to the beach but quite noisy.. I guess Seminyak is not for me, we didnt find it relaxing.

Overall no fault with the hotel, staff or service, just lacked a charm.

Warm Balinese Hospitality

Balinese people are gentle, warm, welcoming and ever so friendly. The hotel exudes these qualities and charm through its staff that are an asset to the hotel. Their welcome drink at check-in was an example.

We experienced a hiccup on check in. In their registry it showed 2 adults checking in. Our hotel confirmation showed 2 adults + 1 child. After the check-in staff consulted with reservations, it was fine. Originally she thought we had underpaid. Make sure you bring your proof of reservation on phone or paper! This puts a marr on the stay.

My daughter fell sick during our stay. She had a terrible runny nose. When I called reception at 4am to ask for another box of tissues, they were very obliging and brought it to our room. Thank you!

Housekeeping staff were very efficient with daily service of the room. On our 1st day we went to breakfast and returned to a tidy room 40mins later. This totally surprised us. This happened everyday during our stay.

You can access the beach from the back of the hotel (near pool). It’s not a private beach. If you walk along the beach, you can reach Seminyak Square (couple of turns later). It’s lovely to walk and sit on the beach during sunset- gorgeous! Lots of people do it. You can access lots of restaurants from the beach side. Menu items are inexpensive. In the evening, neighbouring bars and restaurants puts out beanbags in the beach for their patrons, some offering entertainment like fire dance, live music. It’s a happening area!

Every single staff member we met was so friendly! This hotel has everything you need- spa, laundry, 24/7 room service, money exchange, swim up bar and the biggest plus is you walk across the road to the beach (you can see the beach from the pool/ restaurant). The location is great, you’re off the Main Streets of craziness but a quick walk to the shops. They also put on different activities that you can do.
Our room was spacious and the bed was massive. Our room had a small balcony which did the job.
Breakfast was okay, they rotated foods but we got quite over it after 5 days but I would still recommend adding the breakfast for convenience.
Negatives: the pillows are extremely uncomfortable (quite firm), I asked for a softer pillow and they did bring a different one but still wasn’t my cup of tea.
Being a young couple, we did notice that there was quite a lot of older people staying here.
The laundry & spa is on the pricier side, but directly across the road you can get both for half the price! There is also a convenient store across the road which was handy. Same with money exchange which you can get a better rate at.
Overall we would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The service by all of the employees was outstanding. Great breakfast buffet every morning. We also chose to eat dinner in the restaurant three of the four nights we stayed there out of convenience and satisfaction with the food. Easy access to the beach and swimming pool made our stay perfect. It’s a long walk from the lobby to some of the rooms but the further from the lobby makes you closer to the restaurant, pool and beach. If you wish to stay in Seminyak this hotel is an excellent choice.

The staff were amazing and cleanliness was great.
The music at the swim up bar got to be a little much after a few days but other than that, perfect location- directly across from the beach with walking distance accessibility to many restaurants and convenience stores.

Breakfast options limited compared to some but for the price we paid was good.
We had issues with the toilet flushing but attempts were made to resolve it twice. Resorted to using the kettle to help.
Water pressure was low some days and shower not great as a consequence. That was our experience but please don’t base your decision on that.
Right on the sea front with views of the ocean at breakfast and by the pool. Value for money for sure. Lots of bars and restaurants around so the location is great.

Good hotel for a short holiday

The hotel was in my opinion is not well maintained. A facelift of the hotel would vastly improve it's appearance and appeal. The breakfast which was included was excellent and plentiful and the staff very courteous and helpful. However the rooms were average with poor maintenance of the toilets. Even after informing the hotel maintenance nothing was done about it.
Other than that the location is very good with plenty of shops and restaurants near by. The swimming pool well maintained with the beach just opposite the hotel.
