Location was great. Easy to walk to all the sights of Malacca plus two massive shopping malls close by. The rooms were large but had a very musky smell that lingered for our 2 night stay. The two large curtains remained shut as 1. There is no view 2. No net curtains for privacy. The bed was also one of the hardest mattresses I’ve ever slept on (but we did sleep okay).

Room was clean and staff were courteous. Not able to get World News, in English, such as BBC. CNN etc.. Great location to walk 20 mins to Jonkers Night Market. Hard to find Chinese, Indian, and European restaurants around.
However, the local food are fantastically nice!!

Overall this hotel is okay. The pool is really disappointing and the kitchen extraction fans run above it, which is really loud and hard to relax. The pool seems to be quite poorly ventilated as there was a smell of damp and wallpaper peeling off a lot of walls throughout. The breakfast is great, the staff and location are really good too, but they need to open windows in the pool area. Our ceiling also kept dropping an odd white powder on the floor

Staff were always very helpful and courteous. Our room was good, better if there was a small table to sit and have coffee. Water pressure in shower was excellent. Minor negative was that the in room from fridge was more like a cooler. Breakfast was good, but not necessarily for Western clients eg no yogurt and only white bread. But there were Malaysian options which were very nice.

The Moty Hotel is beautiful, especially inside and quite impressive. The staff deserve recognition for their “top-notch” performance, and always with a big smile! One individual, Tarani Nannadha, was absolutely wonderful and helped us out a lot so thank you! The room is spacious, as well as the bathroom. The lobby is stunning, and the pool is clean and refreshing. The breakfast buffet had a wide assortment of food to choose from and quite busy. If I go to Melaka again, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!

I like the separate shower n bathroom with rain shower;hand shower n a tap which make it easy for Muslims to take their ablution. Room is ,clean,fully carpeted n spacious. Only to me the aircon is not cold enough. Breakfast is good with a number of choices. Will come again.

Overall ok for the price! Rooms are big, there's bathtub in the showers. Floor is very slippery when wet, need to be careful. Suggest to provide 2 floor mats. Staff are friendly and smiley. At the parking, we met a staff going home and he approach us to guide us not to drive during weekends going to the night market and directions to walk there. Nice!

Good Hotel!

Good value for money Hotel a short walk from the city centre! Clean, comfortable & convenient, the staff were very helpful especially Mastura who arranged a taxi when l left for KL!
Breakfast was okay, but obviously catered more for the Malay diet. Had dinner on the first night but was told no alcohol was served to respect the Muslim tradition (was told l could BYO but l had already ordered food)!
There was a Lounge/Bar in the hotel but, for some reason, it looked to be permanently closed (l didn’t ask)!
Notwithstanding, l did enjoy my stay and would recommend the place!

Unfortunately I was sick the entire time I was in Melaka so I didn't see much outside of the hotel. Good thing Moty was a great place to stay! The staff were very kind, the room was spacious and clean, and there were ample room service options from the onsite restaurant. I didn't get to sample the other facilities (pool, sauna) so I can't comment on those. The staff were helpful when I needed to extend the stay for an extra night. Thanks to Moty and their staff.

The property was in a great location, very accessible to sights, shopping and food! The staff was friendly, welcoming and very efficient! The breakfast selection was wonderful… the only but i have …. Is the coffee or teh Tarik were always cold at the breakfast buffet! No matter what time we arrived the beverages were not hot! We stayed at the hotel during Ramadan …. Which should not be an issue! Very accommodating…. Would recommend!!!

Fantastic Bed, Great Service, Nice Breakfast

The hotel had fantastic service, the buffet breakfast spread was plentiful and tasted pretty good, but the highlight of it all was the bed. It was extremely comfortable and falling asleep wasn't difficult at all.

The only downside was that the warm water in the shower was not always consistent but that was not a big issue for us since the weather was very hot.

There was a pool which was opened from 8am - 8pm but I did not get to try.

Accommodation is within walking distance to Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Dutch Square and Jonker Walk.

All in all, this place exceeded expectations and I would not mind coming back!

The stay was great only that the room were pretty dark due to the lightings. The room is pretty huge though. Parking were pretty limited and you have to purchase coupon from the hotel in order to park along the road. Parking under the bridge is available but at a rate of RM10/entry.

Not a place to stay in hotel for long term

The hotel itself doesn't have a parking, the private parking nearby is rm5 per day, the showroom door arent water proof as the glass door cannot be shut off completely, causing the whole place wet after a shower, it's not very clean even after cleaning service as there's stain ans water marks around the bathroom, the door bell and security safe cannot be used. Food are oily, either too sweet or too salty.

I found The Moty Hotel to be very good. The room was spacious and had all the facilities I needed. I think the Moty Hotel is in a terrific location within easy walking distance to both the old part of town and the newer shopping malls area. The staff were excellent and I found the breakfast choice ample. I’m in Malaysia so I don’t expect, nor should anyone, a typical western breakfast. I experienced one slight issue with the WiFi to my room on one day but that was fixed personally by one of the managers on reception (I’m sorry I didn’t make a note of her name) within 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

Wifi in the room was not working throughout the entire stay of 3 days, very frustrating, room was not ready by 3pm, housekeeping looks like rush job, no toilet paper when we check in, have to request from cleaner. Breakfast spread was ok, no gym, only small indoor pool. Free parking under the bridge not a underground carpark within hotel.
