The hotel was busy for the international minor hockey so a minor wait at the elevator,

the room was clean and ready, with a custom greeting on the TV.

If yo u have never stayed at this hotel highly recommend this experience

We stayed at the hotel from Friday to Sunday and experienced two different themed rooms: the Polynesian Room and the Space Room.

The biggest issue throughout our stay was the elevators. They were constantly busy, and it seemed like staff, room service, and bellhops were all using the same elevators as guests. I really think the hotel should have a separate service elevator, as the wait times became frustrating, especially during busy hours.

We also found it almost impossible to reach the front desk using the room phone. Every time we tried, the lines were busy, which wasn’t ideal when we needed assistance.

We paid extra to upgrade to themed rooms, but honestly, the Polynesian Room wasn’t worth the additional cost. It feels very dated and in need of renovation. The room itself is quite cramped, and the lower bunk bed has an extremely low ceiling;even a child could easily bump their head getting in and out. The air conditioning vent blows directly onto the top bunk, making it uncomfortably cold for whoever sleeps there. We also had trouble with the curtains, as the blackout curtain was difficult to operate.

On the other hand, the Space Room was a much better experience and ended up being our kids’ favorite. It appears to have been renovated, the bunk beds are much larger, and there’s enough headroom to sit up comfortably. It felt much more modern and functional.

Despite these issues, the hotel’s location is fantastic and is really what makes it stand out. Being inside West

The water was shut off in the afternoon during my stay, during a time where I needed to shower and get myself ready for my evening out. I had to book a hair appointment at a salon instead just to get my hair washed. So it was quite inconvenient. Had I known in advance, I’d have stayed somewhere else. However, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is amazing.

The air conditioner was not working in our room. It was very warm, and difficult to sleep. The hallways were cool, but many people complained about the lack of the AC in the rooms. You couldn't control the tempurature in your room with your thermostat. Will likely not stay there again.

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! The first room we were allotted came with a broken window, damaged and scratched furniture, not a single lamp shade was able to maintain its proper position, plug ins (as few as they were) did not work, bathroom sink was discusting and there was hair in the shower curtain (didn’t know until the morning), phone didn’t even work to be able to call a bell person to assist us with our luggage as we planned to leave. We were obviously going to check out, I told the front desk person my issues with the accommodation we were provided and that I wanted to check out early, they assured me they could find me another room suitable. We left to shop for a few hours and returned to see our new room. We were given the exact same room number one floor below! No broken window, the plug ins and phone were in working order. However, the ‘new’ room was also in very poor condition as the previous room. We were awoken at 1230 by the adjoining rooms children, one of which cried for over an hour … not the hotels fault, but just another thing to solidify the terrible condition of the hotel that also had ZERO soundproofing. The next morning when we check out, i tried to call the front desk for a bellman to assist us with our bags and no one would answer the phone no mater how long it rang. When we got all our stuff down to the lobby, 3 people were standing around … I guess to busy to answer the phone or ask how our stay was. DO NOT STAY HERE! Worst hotel ever!

Specific situation: We arrived after 9pm and had to wait for the room to be checked before we could check in, apparently they were checking to see if the carpet was still wet. We eventually left our bags and went to get some food because restaurants close at 10pm. Came back around 10:30pm and went up to room. It had an unpleasant smell, but we figured that was because of the recent carpet cleaning. Turned out we discovered the next day that the carpet was saturated beside one of the beds, which was the cause of the smell. Really disappointed that we were given a room that was less than acceptable after we were made to wait while someone "checked" it. The upgrade charge was removed as compensation, but it was incredibly disappointing to be put in this situation to begin with.
Overall, front desk was consistently understaffed (usually 1 person on the desk) with no one else around at concierge or front door. Not easy to get help or quick answers. Room was not thoroughly cleaned, upon arrival there was a hair clip in the bathroom that wasn't ours, and garbage behind the side table which we discovered when we moved it. Only one of 2 beds was made for us during the stay.

We were able to check in quickly. The lady at the desk was very friendly. When we arrived at our room we noticed there were dirty dishes left in the hallway by our door and we had to let the front desk know as they remained overnight even through housekeeping went by. The room was large, clean, and beds were comfortable. Water bottles and keurig coffee provided. We had to request a room change though as our first morning we were awoken at 6:30AM by a construction crew working outside our window with chainsaws. The front desk accommodated this and mentioned they had a lot of these noise complaints and had to make quite a few room switches. We were moved to a new room that afternoon and it was also large and clean. My only concern with the new room is that it was an adjoining room and it doesn’t feel private. The next door occupants were loud, we could hear their TV, their conversations and the man snoring at night. The people in the other room also rolled some batteries under the adjoining door to our side which was strange. I would request not to be in an adjoining room if you are not needing one.

Everything was wonderful!! I loved my stay, I would have stayed longer if I could.
I have only one complaint, there are no USB ports and that is a must these days, more plug ins at the bedside are necessary as well.
Well honestly an upgrade is necessary at some point.

I have never waited longer for an elevator. Can’t understand why having 4 elevators still yield a longer than a 10-min wait. The bathroom sink facet broke off when using off. I had to screw it back on. Our suite door creaked when opening. There were no prior notice that the bottles of water were free. And no slippers offered in the room. The suite next to us was so loud that we can hear their kids in the early morning probably due to the lack of sound insulation between suites.

we had hot water issues in our room, they moved us to a second room and had hot water issues in that room as well. Maintenance came and fixed the water in the second room, but it was disruptive to our stay. The rooms were clean, but worn down. The convenience of the property being right in the mall was nice as we could go to the wave pool and shower/change in our room. for families the hotel is convenient.

Stayed only 1 night (child had a birthday party at galaxy land) so we choose to spend the night. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and easy access to the mall (restaurants, shopping, and close to the birthday party event). Stayed in a regular room, not the fantasy suites, but bed was comfortable and room was a good size for 4.

The only complaint I had was the air conditioning in the room wasn't working well. Sometimes we had cool air, sometimes we didn't.

The property was pretty run down. The bathrooms were tiny and dated. We were disappointed because we weren’t informed at all during our booking or even
A heads up closer to that the water was going to be shut off on 2 out of 3 of our days from 11-5. Valet and the bell men were amazing and very helpful. One positive is that it’s attached to the mall and convenient.
1/2 the water slides weren’t in use due to construction and active sawing of the concrete under the waterslides which made a haze and a loud pitch whirring noise on top of all the noise of the water slide and kids screaming. Galaxyland rides weren’t all open because they didn’t have enough staff. And it was dirty and construction everywhere….. a bit disappointing….

We did not stay in a theme room but the regular rooms are in great shape and are quite spacious. Beds are super comfortable. There was some early morning construction going on that I thought could have waited until at least 8:00 or 8:30 but that may have been outside of the hotel's control since it was the roof of the waterpark that was being worked on.

Frustrating as I made multiple reservations via EXPEDIA and the manager to CONFIRM reservations and still staff can’t locate then put us on different floors. Our 2nd front desk individual was polite helpful and placed us same floor. Decor is dated, but great for those going to the waterpark as they supply towels. They’re renovating so elevators are slow go and usually crowded. Night 2 fire alarm went off waking us at 4:42 till 5:26. Internal problem so there resolution was 12noon check out. Again the fire alarm went off before noon. So glad my grandkids are older and not scared just responsive.
Parking was good close to the hotel, bellhops available.
The staff are nice just misinformed. Great service in the restaurant everyone enjoyed from salads to steak and finished with crème brûlées Family Affordable

If you buy your hotel room through Expedia they won’t give you the 40% off the wave pool or galaxy land. We’re pretty disappointed as we were told if you stay in the hotel rides and pool are 40% off. We got there went to have a shower and it wouldn’t drain. Get to bed and five in the morning the fire alarm was going off for half an hour. So our stay wasn’t that great.

The hotel was ok. For the price I expect better than 1 ply toilet paper and Kleenex. All 8 pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The hotel alarm went off in the middle of the night, they did over intercom tell us to stay in our rooms but it would of been nice if they would have let us know once they cleared the alarm that everything was ok, instead of just turning the alarm off and leaving us to wonder.

The room was dated and had noticeable water damage near the hot tub in room. The shower was small and it took 1/2 hour to get hot water to both hot tub and shower. The hot tub took at least an hour and a half to fill to fill point. Also, the valets were excellent. The check in staff were kinda not as bubbly and friendly as the check out staff. I was disappointed about not being able to cancel 1 night as that was not noted on booking, there was a 2 night minimum, I would’ve chosen a cheaper option.

I just want to warn every body here to be careful of this hotel, they charge me double in my room, I already pay to my Expedia reservation for to night March 9&10. When I checked in they ask my credit card for the damage deposit and they said the damage deposit should be return in a couple days. But to my surprise they charge for my stay even though it's already paid throughmy Expedia, and I phone the hotel 3 times already and they said they will return the money back to my account and 2 weeks later the charges still, not return to my account. The bank charges me of my over limit purchase because of what the fantasy land hotels did to my credit card of double charging my card. And right now I'm still trying to get whole of them, I'm on the phone right now, they put me on hold for 25 minutes now. I guess me and my husband had to drive to Edmton for 2&1/2 hours to talk to the manager for our refund if I didn't get an answer about this. They are abusing there Costomer and they are not honest.
