The property is excellent value compared to others in Stockholm. All rooms have windows, and whilst it isn’t the cheapest, it is well maintained and comfortable.
Just a short walk from the station which is just 6 minutes by train to the centre of Stockholm, so very convenient.
The rooms are comfortable, however the beds are very soft - which is obviously personal preference, but something to be mindful of if you have back issues.
Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit and other breakfast items- which is rare.

Although you are next to the main road, it is very quiet and there is no traffic noise.

The windows don’t open which is a little annoying when you want fresh air without using aircon.

There is a living room, so if you arrive early or have time after check out, this is a great welcoming space, full of sofas and a pool table.

The hotel is dog friendly, so if you’re lucky, you might see a pooch around, which always makes a trip better!

Definitely recommend and would return here over any of the crazy expensive hotels in Stockholm anytime!

Our room was a great option for families, with a door between the main room (queen bed) and a room with 4 single bunks. The coffee at breakfast was the best hotel coffee I have ever had, and the breakfast buffet seemed typical of Sweden hotels with a lot of variety. The room decor had personality and our view was lovely. Location is walkable to a transit station. Finally, the staff were personable, helpful, and responsive, especially when helping us resolve the problem of a passport left overnight. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The check in/reception staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. There was a secure place to leave our bags when we arrived early.
The breakfast staff were not quite as friendly. Although the food was okay and there was a decent selection.

The hotel seems to spend more time with the idea of being a stylish hotel rather than getting the basics right.
For example, the bathroom door in the bedroom has a window in it. With privacy glass but everyone can make you out while you use the facilities. Not ideal in a family room.
The bathroom was fine but the shower was weak. The beds were comfortable but some of the furniture seemed dated in the rooms.

The WIFI worked well in all areas of the hotel.

The underground is a bit of a walk with cases. We ordered a taxi with reception when leaving which was there on time and very convenient.

The rooms are much smaller compared to the pictures. Inaccurate description on website about family rooms because no sofa chair was inside the room. Air conditioner was not working during hot weather outside so staff provided the fans. Bathroom is much smaller than what it looks in picture. Staff is nice and helpful.

The property is clean, room and all. The reception and staff are all friendly and attentive. Very swift check in, complete with information you need. Whatever you ask or inquire about, they try their best to assist you. The walk to Solna Station was nice and just the right amount of steps you need on a daily basis, atleast. Take out food at both the Japanese and Thai Restaurants close by was added bonus, including the convenience store next door. The staff at the breakfast buffet, from the chef down the line are all friendly, helpful and very pleasant. They are always going around to clean up & take away used plates & utensils. Ever polite and courteous. Hotel Gio definitely did not disappoint and would definitely go back in a heartbeat if we get a chance. Also, Gio is worth recommending to family & friends 💯 . Thank you all for the wonderful stay. We had an amazing time!

Great location! Easy to take bus 15-20 minutes into Stockholm main sights and for taking FlixBus to airport. Haga Norra stop is just outside hotel for going into city and just across bridge/freeway to go to airport. Also, easy access to exceptional Haga Park across freeway.
Breakfast buffet was bountiful and well done. We really enjoyed The Living Room lounge for coffee, tea, games, pool, reading, etc.
Will definitely recommend to all coming to Stockholm.

Hotel Gio - Brilliant base for exploring Stockholm

Brilliant hotel! Family of five, staying in one of hotel Gio’s 6 bed room’s. We had ample space within the room, very comfy beds, clean, and good air conditioning.
The hotel itself offered a huge selection of breakfast all included in what was a very reasonably priced stay. The location was perfect, the Royal park is out the back only a minutes walk - perfect for families/walkers/running/cycling/pushchairs etc. Solna train station is only ten minute walk enabling us to get into Stockholm central station in less than 30mins.
Having the Westfield shopping Mall close by was also very handy if it rained, loads of places to get food and stay warm and dry. The street food ‘Karaoke’ hall was particularly good, and very reasonably priced meals.

Would definitely use this hotel again! It was the perfect base!

Beautifully designed hotel.

Hotel Gio is a beautiful property, and everything there is well designed. The breakfast buffet is delightful as well. It's quite a way out of the historic centre of Stockholm, but is on a good, reliable bus route, and there is a train station within walking distance.

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Gio. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety! Also were able to store our luggage both when arriving early and the day we checked out since we weren’t flying out till late at night. Another convenient thing is that the flight bus that takes you straight to & from the airport is a very short walk away. We also enjoyed the “living room”(a large area with couches and tables), which is cozy and always has coffee or tea.

Very nice hotel, comfortable beds and situated in a safe and quiet area with several nearby restaurants. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and decent quality food.
Although its not super central, the Haga Norra bus stop is just outside the hotel so it was very easy to get the bus both from the airport and into town.
Would recommend a walk around the Haga park right next to the hotel.

Excellent hotel. Travelled with my husband & 3 children. V easy transport links from airport. Bought 3 day travel pass. Bus 57 to Gamla Stan, approx 20 minutes, one bus stop to Solna train station and train into main Stockholm train station. Hotel family room great for our needs, buffet breakfast good selection. Had the hotel's Summer buffet the first evening which was ok as we were tired but went to Gamla Stan for other evenings. An excellent hotel if you don't mind being outside the city centre. In our opinion much nicer to travel in and be located right next to a beautiful park.

Hotel Gio is one of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed at. Great interior design with a huge shared living room. Rooms are a little smaller but it's fine for 1 night stay.

Loved the breakfast. It's a huge selection that is delicious and healthy. One of the best we've had at a hotel.

The location is great. Walking distance to the largest historical city park with cool architecture, by the lake, great for running.

Everything was great. I am not sure if this is a regional thing or not but the hotel staff did not help with bags at all. They noticed me bringing in multiple bags but there was no mention of the available carts, they only let me know they had them after I asked when I realized I had no assistance for taking bags upstairs to our room. It would be nice if the staff could help point out the available tools for guests even if they do not help with the transportation of the bags.

Stayed in a nice apartment room with also nice view.
Had slept well in comfortable bed, not hard and to soft.
Bathroom was with shower and quite big. Could just not find a wall socket for hairdryer: -)
Breakfast is nice and for all I like was available.
Hotel looks from outside first impression a bit \"ahm\" but it's just the architecture from the time it was build. Inside is very cozy and has also nice restaurant.

Travelled from Canada for the Taylor Swift concert, and this hotel was great! Comfortable, clean rooms and walkable to Friends Arena / Mall of Scandinavia. Staff was great! They even had our room ready in advance of our check in time with our early arrival. Overall great experience!

We had a fabulous long weekend here. Very handy for the Haga Parkrun and Solna metro station (both about 15mins walk, though not in the same direction). Very clean, stylish and most fabulous array of food for the buffet breakfast.

My only criticism is the lack of storage in the bedroom. There is a large hanging space but I would have loved a drawer or shelf for smalls, apart from the very high one above the hangers which was too high for me to see into.

We would stay again.

1. The hotel has its own parking but still charges guests for parking. Could definitely make it free for the guests, particularly considering overpriced rates for most of the nights.
2. Minifridge is tiny, but generates so much heat that everything what is places on the cabined is heated and melted.
3. The rooms are inadequately equipped for the number of guests.

Me and my wife and toddler and family really enjoyed staying here in this great hotel, the staff were kind and pleasant and helped with every single request I had. The breakfast had good options, although we couldn't eat any of the meats as not halal, there was still plenty of good options for us. Thank you hotel Gio for a great experience, next time i am in Sweden i will surely book this hotel again.

Although a little way out of Stockholm this hotel has great transport links to and from the city and the airport.
Situated in a largely residential area there are a small number of restaurants available but a 10 minute walk and 2 stops on the train will have you at Stockholm central station.
The room in the hotel was not large but was comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast choices were superb.
We would certainly consider staying here again if visiting Stockholm.

Location was excellent for the airport bus and commuter rail service from Arlanda airport to Solna. Great park opposite for morning jog or walk. Good range of breakfast foods but would have liked an option of whole fruit such as an apple or banana. Also the Mama Gio evening menu seemed limited - but perhaps allowed what was offered to be of good quality. Dates for the stay had to be changed owing to our original flight being cancelled and the hotel was willing to do so even though we had booked at the lower 'no cancellation/ change' rate - excellent customer service!

Just a minute walk to public transportation and very convenient to ride bus to anywhere you need to go. It's just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Haga Park (Butterfly Park). Also, the Direct Express Bus to and from airport drops off right next to hotel. Very convenient. Great decor, clean, wonderful living space, breakfast is delicious (and included with stay). On-site Italian restaurant is convenient. Complimentary tea and coffee all day. Would definitely stay again and highy recommend.

We stayed a week and were very comfortable there. The staff was friendly and very accommodating with all our requests. Highly recommend this hotel. The location is close to the buses, parks and great walking trails.
We loved the breakfast and used the Livingroom everyday.

Goo was a very quiet spot with great staff who were happy and helpful. It is in a good position for public transport both bus and train and airport bus at the door. Amazing breakfast daily included and if you are leaving very early they happily make you a breakfast box to take. The sauna and laundry are excellent. The room cleanliness is excellent with thick lush towels daily if you wish. A great park behind the hotel and a couple of restaurants next door if you want variety from the Italian restaurant in the hotel. A great place to stay in Stockholm.
