Wonderful historic property that was difficult to find by car, but great once we got settled. Staff were all very helpful, especially the young front desk lady upon arrival and your Croatian waiter.ways access to all of Stockholm by public transportation.

Such a gorgeous location and grounds! My room had a loft which was wonderful and felt like home. The grounds had flowering trees and bushes and was idyllic. The staff were super helpful, and the dining was a beautiful space with delicious food. I'm so glad we stayed there! It's a little bit of a drive from downtown, but worth the trip!

Our second stay at Stallmastaregarden and we loved it again. Our room looked out on the beautiful courtyard as requested. Luckily the weather was not too warm because there is not AC in the room and it was stuffy.
We had an anniversary dinner out on the deck overlooking the patio and the food was delicious. However, the waiter was not very friendly. Maybe because we split our dinner and ordered the house wines.
The breakfast buffet was again sensational.
We hope to return soon.

We recently stayed at the Stallmastaregarden Hotel in Stockholm - once you get to the property - you feel like you're in the country rather than in a major city. While the hotel is not convenient for sightseeing, it is definitely unique and charming. The restaurant is wonderful as is the overall service at the property. My husband stayed at the property almost 20 years ago and had a much larger room. If you plan on staying for more than one night - I would definitely recommend upgrading for a larger room.

The hotel is in a beautiful and convenient location. The building is a historic venue for weddings and family parties. The rooms are beautifully designed.
However, some of the rooms are near a noisy main road, and since we stayed in such a room during a heat wave, and the rooms have no air condition, we had to sleep with open windows and did not sleep very well.
The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant has a beautiful view.
The free parking is a large plus.

When we sat down to eat, there were no forks at our table. When we went to see the staff about it, she initially ignored our request, and then finally just said \"on the table!\" We thought that was very rude. For the price we paid, we expected a lot better. We would not recommend this hotel.

The property is beautiful and walking distance to the city itself. But the room was stuffy, even with windows open- no air conditioning and it was 60 degrees out, so not even hot outside. The room we were given was listed as a junior suite, though I booked and paid for a Royal Suite through Expedia.

It was very cosy hotel, beautiful style and sooo cozy!
Just one negative thing, my room felt cold, but I did not make an effort to ask the stuff if they can turn up the heaters higher, maybe it was possible to have it warmer in my room. I was anyway most of my time sightseeing Stockholm. If I would go to Stockholm again, I will book the same hotel. You can take a nice promenade from the hotel along the main shops and cafes-street leading up till Soedermalm.

It is a historical building and it has been maintained very well. The location, besides the lake, is extremely good. Rooms are clean. Food provided for breakfast and dinner were very good. The only limitation is a bit difficult to find for the first visit since the road is quite complicated.

Overall service is lower than expected for a hotell as Stallmästaregården market itself to be. Low staff, check in experience was average, barely room service available, no spots in the restaurant. But room where nice and and beds were comfortable. Interior design is nice and hotell is well maintained.

Average place near Solna

The hotel does not have signage. So if you're walking from the airport bus stop, which is a short walk, you'll struggle to find the hotel. Also there's a cul-de-sac with multiple doors and pathways, and no sign for the door that leads to the reception either. The place is a heritage building converted to a hotel. I got the room next to the road, so that's a minus. The room has old/period furniture. I did not see a room heater in the room, the ones that are attached to the wall. It was the second week of November, so it got cold in the night. There's no water kettle in the room. The bathroom has separate taps for hot and cold water, so getting the right temperature takes some juggling. The breakfast is good. The restaurant overlooks the lake. The bus stop to take you into town or solna is close by. The hotel locks the main door in the night and you have to ring a bell outside to have someone open the door. I find that anxiety inducing. I got the room at a good price compared to the hotels at Solna. Overall an average place.

I've stayed at this hotel on two occasions now, both visits went without issue. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well appointed, not huge but ideal.
The restaurant is a must if you stay at this hotel, the food is exceptional.

Best hotel I stayed at in Stockholm

Fresh, nice surroundings and a great breakfast! I have no complaints at all to be honset and would recommend this hotel, specially if you are traveling with a car. I personally live in Stockholm, but needed to stay away from my apartment for a couple of days and tried a different hotel each night. This was, by far, my favourite (others included Clarion, Rival and Hilton)

A true 4* Hotel

Great place, nice location, I would say its definitely a summer location, but has its charm also during winter. Nice savory Swedish kitchen, service was nice and friendly. For those who prefer a hard mattress, wouldn't recommend as sleeping is really soft, seems to be an overall Swedish thing! Breakfast is on the better side and you get and above average breakfast! All in all a 4* and well deserved hotel at this level.

An extraordinary stay

I've been staying at the Stallmastaregarden for ten plus years - it stays fresh but never changes, a warm, comforting and cosy stay, away from the chain hotel anaesthetising effect of the same room in every city. If I'm in Kista, Solna or the surrounding area, I'll only ever stay here. Superb food, beautiful, homely rooms and great staff.

Hotel was great, food high quality,excellent location for walks on waterside paths and local parkland. 10 minute walk to nearest underground station to get around city and located at end of main road to Arlanda airport so if a group taxi option from airport rather than train is best option. Only disappointing aspect was no tea/coffee facilities in room.

Beautiful location; stifling at night

After we'd found it (neither Google nor Apple maps knew where it was), we found the hotel charming and beautifully located on the edge of a lake. Great staff, great food. We went in summer and the room was stiflingly hot. There was no apparent heat source or any mechanism to turn it off. The only option was to open the windows and a fan. Since we were on the road side (right next to a major intersection) and the blinds prevented opening the windows more than a couple of inches, this was not very satisfactory. Also, in summer it does not get really get dark at night - the blinds were thin and did nothing to darken the room. Message for hotel: in summer, cooling units and blackout blinds are essential! Would only recommend outside summer.

Cosy, unique hotel for a winter stay in Stockholm

We had a great stay in the Junior Suite. This is a unique hotel with lots of character, it felt very romantic once you're inside and at the lake (from the outside it's near a big junction but you don't notice that inside). It's close to the city centre and using public transport was easy once we figured it out. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch.

My daughter and I just spent 2 days in this amazing historic hotel, right on a lake and enormous park.The staff at reception and in the restaurant were wonderful, the rooms lovely, quiet and clean with beautiful views and the restaurant! Well, it was quite simply one of the best we have ever been to. The chef 'made up' a plate for my vegetarian daughter which was so colourful it was a shame to eat it! Don't miss breakfast! A Scandinavian treat.

Quiet Hotel minutes from the action

Lovely place to stay...

This is really a lovely city in the northern part of Stockholm. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They were very helpful and provided a tremendous level of service. While the location is a bit roomed from the downtown bits of Stockholm, everything is easily accessible through public transportation. The staff is very helpful in figuring out the easiest why to get to anywhere you would like to go. Excellent breakfast provided.

Trevligt litet hotell vid Haga parken med gratis parkering. Rummet va bra, sängen va lite för mjuk. Frukosten va väldigt lite att välja på, men det som erbjöds smakade bra.
Då vi kom 1 1/2 timme för tidigt fick vi checka in om vi betalade 100kr extra, lite sniket kan man tycka. Vi har bott på många hotell genom åren och fått checka in tidigare flertalet gånger, men aldrig behövt betala extra för det.
Tror inte hotellet är lämpligt på sommaren då det saknades ac på rummet.
Läget är bra, vi kan tänka oss att komma tillbaka igen.

Jättemysigt hotell, nära stan men ändå på ”landet”. Fina rum, tyst och lugnt, sköna sängar, trevlig personal och fantastisk frukost!
Läget perfekt med fina promenadstråk runt omkring. Superbra med gratis parkering precis utanför hotellet. En ny pärla för mig, hit kommer jag gärna igen!

Var et kjempebra opphold. Eneste minus er at sola vekte oss klokka 05.00 grunnet at det er ikke gardin på bad. Dette er da nesten umulig å hindre. Super hyggelig betjening og likte beliggenheten lett å komme seg til sentrum samtidig som det var litt landelig.

Fint och stämningsfullt men inte så bra sängar

Fantastisk mat i restaurangen, både middag och frukost, trevligt rum med bra badkar. Jättetrevlig personal, helt ok standard och fint inrett. Dessutom bra parkeringsmöjligheter och den ljuvliga Hagaparken att promenera i.

På minussidan: rummen skulle vara ljudisolerade och det kanske stämde på väggarna men dörren till korridoren var det inte. Sängarna var obekväma och vi fick båda ont i ryggarna efteråt.

10/10. 1 night in the ”Haga Suite”. Very luxurious. Spacious, comfortable and with e cellent views over the park and marina. Hästens bed was so nice it was hard to leave. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place. I will be returning soon.
