The Queens gate is in a beautiful area in Kensington. You were made to feel welcome from the moment they greet you at the door and help you with your bags. No matter your concerns or questions, they are there to help you with everything. My daughter and I stayed for four nights and it was one of our favorite hotels. The hotel was literally a 5 minute walk to the Royal Albert Hall, and after our concert we had drinks in the hotel bar, which was pleasantly busy with other guests.

Room could have been swept better, and you need a PhD in European showerology to work the knobs in the shower. Also there is a “secret” button to turn on the aircon. Sneaky. It was a beautiful hotel and the room was amazing. The staff were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. One tiny issue was the noise from rooms above late at night and early in the morning. Stayed here last July for just short of two weeks. Perfect home base for a slow visit. Liked the location, neighborhood, amenities, the breakfast, the clothes cleaning service. The room was fantastic, perfect for relaxing any part of hot days I decided to stay indoors. Mostly though I liked the staff. They were uniformly polite, professional and caring. Doesn’t it always boil down to people? That’s why I came back this year for a week. It was the right decision.

Great location close to tube stations and bus stops. So close to many attractions in Kensington. Various food options within walking distance. Friendly staff. The room always stayed hot though despite modifying the thermostat. The pillows weren’t very comfortable. But these two things are the only complaints I can make the room was clean and the bathroom bigger than others I’ve experienced staying in London. The elevator is also a big plus you don’t always find in the area.
