We had a great stay in this hotel - staff were very friendly and helpful, the choice for breakfast was incredible and the location of the hotel is ideal - a 5 minute walk from the bus station but also just round the corner from the main shopping area and easily walkable to Gamla Stan old town.
Would definitely like to visit again.

Breakfast was great, with both hot and cold items. The front desk staff was great. The room (mine had a double bed) was small, even by European standards; but it was clean. There was no real closet. But it had a bar with hangers and pegs placed throughout the room which were really helpful. The shower was great. If you use a wash cloth (I do), bring one (I did). The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the the train station and there many restaurants and shops close by. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town sights.

We loved the location of the hotel, which provides easy access to everything! Plus, the room was nice and clean. It was on the small side, but since we were only there to sleep, it wasn’t much of a problem for us.

Terrible check-in. I stayed often in Scandic hotels in Stockholm when visiting. Now I have to wait until 16:00 hours to check in without having to pay to 200 Swedish kronor for early check-in even though plenty of rooms was available since long. It makes you feel you are a valuable returning customer. Not! I will consider other options from now on in Sweden as this was appalling.

In over 4 years since my last visit it has got even more outdated. It could do with a refresh and a touch of style. All it needs is some fresh colours by adding colours on walls and statement soft furnishings. The duvet and in specially the pillows are tiny and really uncomfortable. It's not expensive at all to replace it. Bath towels are small for tiny people. It really needs a new carpet. Basically, it's basic and boring hotel. Furniture is ok. It need quality white lighting as it's so dark. Make sure the breakfast booking system is in English also - it's a pain having to book when is buffet. Buffet quality has gone down hill too. Lack of fruit juices & fruit & there was limited yogurt also. You can do much better.

I chose one of the small \"cabin\" rooms without a window, which was brilliant for keeping traffic noise and early-morning sunlight out. However, the walls seem to be quite thin, so things were not always silent.

- With the exception of a small bedside table and an underbed drawer, there isn't any storage space. So if you have a large suitcase, you'll be constantly stepping past it. The underned drawer had 3 hairs in it when I arrived.
- Instead of storage, the bed frames have hanging areas (they provide a few coat hangers) and some coat hanger hooks.
- Some of the pillows and towels had brownish round stains.
- The hotel won't routinely clean your room. I belive this is due to their green policy. Fine, but this there should be more prominent signage. And the very least, a larger waste bin would be nice.
- Lighting. Difficult to figure out the dimners.
- Lifts. Super slow and confusing. The staff should have a separate service lift.
- No iron in the room. Fine. But still, there is one ironing room with one iron (!) for the entire hotel. This can't be to expensive a situation to remedy. C'mon, guys.

Laundry service is an absolute scam, and there are no facilities to do it yourself. Significantly overpriced and unreliable. Staff were unable to explain the system and pricing, and it ended up costing 80 euro to wash some underwear and socks, and delivered a day late. Staff were understanding and gave a small discount.

A super nice place in a great location near the main train station and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Really comfortable beds and nice bathroom. The breakfast was varied and tasty, including continental and hot options. It was good value too. To set expectations: the WiFi signal wasn't always great in the room itself. That wasn't a problem for me and it's not claiming to be a business hotel, so it hasn't affected my rating. It may be worth knowing for others, though. The WiFi was always good in the lounge so you were never disconnected. I'd stay here again and would recommend to friends!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was excellent! At the bountiful breakfast buffet the first morning I asked if they had decaffeinated coffee. They were out of it but one of the servers (Alva) said she’d keep an eye out. Two mornings later she popped up and asked if I was the one who had wanted decaf because it had come in. There are hundreds of people coming/going and the fact she remembered and tracked me down was amazing to me. Later she heard me asking a different server if there was any more of a specific item left- there was not. I said thank you and moved to another food station. A few minutes later Alva pops up again with the item I’d just asked about that she had found tucked behind a different item. She’d overheard me and went the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service! This girl is excellent at her job and deserves a raise!
Later we had trouble printing tickets and Nemo at the front desk voluntarily printed them for us. We needed quite a few documents printed and he made us feel like it was no big deal to print the emails and attachments that we requested.
The rooms are a tad sparse/small but I would definitely stay here again because of the people who work here and location in the city.

We had a really nice stay at Scandic No 53. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The breakfast was delicious, and a great variety of food was offered. The location was very central and close to everything we wanted to visit. Our room was clean and quiet. Overall, we are really happy with our experience.

This is the second time I’ve stayed there. And this time I stayed for three nights. It’s very quiet, the rooms must be heavily insulated. Breakfast is very good, although you have to tell them what time you’ll be there for crowd control. There are a lot of people staying there. It’s best to have breakfast very early. Vi fick ett handikappvänligt rum pga att jag hade väldigt ont i ryggen. Mycket vänligt! Men det fanns inte en stol, pall eller bänk i rummet. Efter samtal fick vi en extra ”resväskepall”. Det underlättade. Jobbigt att lägga kläder mm på golvet. Det fanns en antydan till garderob men där hängde vi kläder som skulle användas till olika aktiviteter. Trevliga roomservice fixade fler galgar till oss och hälsade trevligt godmorgon eller hej. Artig och vänlig personal i receptionen, frukostmatsalen och i kvällens bar.

Scandic No53 ist für eine Schopping- oder Städtetour in Stockholm die perfekte Wahl. Alles was das Herz einer Frau und natürlich eines Mannes begehrt ist in einer Minute erreichbar. Der Anschluss ans öffentliche Netz (Tunnelbana, Taxi und Bus)ist ebenfalls perfekt. Das Frühstück lässt keinen Spielraum für Nörgeleien denn das Büffet ist reichhaltig. Ums Eck liegt das beliebte Café \"Vetekatten\" das zum verweilen sehr gemütlich ist (ausser umd die Lunchzeit, da ist es voll).
