This hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the room was clean with a nice bathroom and facilities. If we was to come back to Sweden then would definitely look to stop here again.

Great concept hotel for the active traveler. Kayaking, bike rentals, clean albeit small gym. Staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. Rooftop bar is beautiful with great cocktail-savvy staff and reasonable prices. We had the family room for more space - king plus bunks plus bathtub.

The room was incredible. Clean and with a waterfall shower. It feels straight out of an Ikea catalogue. The location is amazing with all of the tour hotspots nearby and there’s plenty to explore without even leaving the hotel. The hotel is multi-faceted and serves all needs for any guests. The staff are helpful and are very accommodating. To note, the AC was not functioning when we were staying there, but the hotel did provide us with a fan which was helpful!

I was traveling with 2 children ages 8 and 11. We were excited about going to a hotel with a pool. Come to find out that they were not allowed to use the pool. You had to be 16 years old.
I did get the breakfast buffet. It was very good. Except the scrambled eggs were under cooked the 1st day, so I didn’t get those. I got the omelette instead which was good. They had a waffle maker station, and tons of other choices.
I liked that they let us store our luggage before check in and after check out.
I didn’t like the smoke smell that the camp fire in the lounge/bar area was causing. We stayed in a room that was under the 1st floor with no windows and I could smell the smoke in my room in the morning. After breakfast in the restaurant, It caused me to have an episode of shortness of breath, which was quite scary. I had to go outside to get fresh air. I didn’t report it to the front desk at the time, because I didn’t realize that it was from the smoke until later.

We felt not welcomed! Front receptionist staff were rude. They didn’t even welcome us. It looked like they didn’t like to rate we gave for the rooms on expedia. They gave us a room in the basement. I believe it was under the restaurant because there were lots of chair moving on our ceiling. The room was dusty and hairs on the desk. I had to wash the mugs in the room before I use. When I asked the room to be cleaned the next day, they said that they can’t promise. Very disappointed and would not recommend it to anyone. The breakfast was great though.

Two adults and a 16-year-old boy stayed here for four nights. The room was way too small for us. Be sure you check the size of the room for your party. We did not have a window, which was great to have darkness for sleeping. However, that meant we had no fresh air or air flow. The hotel staff delivered a fan after two requests, and that helped make the temperature of the room bearable. The breakfast buffet was a sight the behold. Do it at least once. The bar area had games to play and a great vibe. We watched a movie one night in the hotel’s cinema. It was a nice break from being a tourist. The location was perfect for all the touring we did of the area. I would stay in the hotel again but would book a larger room.

We had a fantastic time at the Downtown Camper in Stockholm. It was a comfortable stay. The breakfast was exceptional and my children were very settled. It was a clean and spacious room. Good drinks in bar with activities. When we come back to Stockholm, we’d be sure to look at this again.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and our toddler son in May 2026. This hotel was such a wonderful treat! I booked this hotel because I thought the hotel's theme would be fun for my wife and son and it definitely delivered on that. Our room had a cozy camper/cabin vibe, but also felt very plush and had a number of conveniences that made life easier, like numerous dimmable lights and lamps throughout the room, a spacious bathroom with a deep bath, USB ports over the night stands, and easily accessible coat hooks right near the door. The hotel served as a very comfortable, but energetic home base, which was perfect for our little family. The entire hotel was clean, well-maintained, and on theme. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bartender even whipped up an excellent hot cocoa for my son when we got in from a cold late night. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient; a number of restaurants were right around the corner, and metro, train, and bus stations were only a short walk away. Our stay in Stockholm was short, so we did not partake of any of the hotel's activities or amenities, but we intend to return to Stockholm and will likely stay at Downtown Camper when we do.

I would literally go back to Sweden just to stay at this hotel again.

The room was extremely cozy and clean. The hotel itself is located in a convenient spot for exploring - Stockholm is very walkable, and T-Centralen is right around the corner if you want to hop on a train (or head to the airport).

I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast, but I did go to the restaurant downstairs for dinner and it was delicious. It's a busy hotel with lots of people coming and going at all times, but I never once felt like that disrupted my stay.

Excellent stay. The hotel is super centric, next to the metro and the train station, so very convienient to arrive from the airport. We got the cozy room, which is small, but the bed was super confortable and the bathroom is big enough. The breakfast buffet is absolutely wonderfull, it has everything you can imagine, so highly recommended if you enjoy having your breakfast at hotels. Super nice staff too, and very cool ambiance. Highly recommened.

The hotel is quite trendy and very well appointed. It has fun quirky features like table tennis on each floor, a cargo net, marshmallow toasting, movie room and bike/skateboard hire. There are lots of activities for adults, like yoga etc. Breakfast was a highlight with beautiful fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts, waffles, pancakes, hot options and more. My only negative is that the pool area is >16s only permanently and it would have been nice to have a few hours family time.

Only complaint about this fabulous hotel is that they do not store your luggage for more than a few hours. We were leaving Stockholm for a few days and then returning to the hotel for another few days and were told that they couldn’t store our carryon bags during that time-Disappointing. Otherwise a fabulous hotel!!

Buffet breakfast was amazing. Lots of variety. The fireplace in the middle is a nice addition. The lobby’s design is cool- lots of green plants, kayaks hanging from the ceiling and attention to detail. The bar on the 9th floor is really beautiful and overlooks the city. But the best thing about this hotel is all of the included activities such as aqualaxing in the rooftop pool, sound healing, walks to food hall with Sarah etc. It made our stay extra special and made this hotel one of our favorite hotels of all time.

I had a great time staying at Downtown Camper from 3rd to 6th April. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming, with friendly and attentive staff. The overall experience was positive, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant stay with a memorable breakfast. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

The female staff member at the reception was very cold in her response.
The soundproofing was almost nonexistent, and I filed a complaint because I could still hear music coming from the room next door even after 11 PM. In the end, I could hear the music and voices from the neighboring room until 1 AM, so I was unable to sleep.

Even though I get the eco-friendly concept they have, toilet paper felt like sand paper.

The view at the pool and sauna experience was good. however paying for accessing the pool was a little bit too much.

We visited Stockholm for 3 days and spent 2 nights at the Downtown Camper. Its location was perfect for exploring the city and the hotel had a fabulously relaxed and welcoming atmosphere - our children thought it was “the coolest hotel ever”. It was easy to find the hotel having travelled into the city on the Arlanda Express from the airport and it was only a short walk from the station.

All the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful; reception, bar, restaurant and cleaning staff were kind, chatty and polite. We were lucky to be offered an early check-in so took our bags to the room, which our children said was “the coolest room ever”). It was very clean, had lots of space with a double bed in one room and a sofa bed in the other, and the boys thought that the window seats were brilliant. The receptionist gave us advice about routes to explore in order to see the sights we wanted to visit.

We loved watching the world go by on the swings in the bar, roasting marshmallows at the indoor fire table, going up to laze in the nets in the lobby, using the Photo Booth and playing table tennis on our floor. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.

Really enjoyed a two night weekend stay here. The hotel has such a strong aesthetic so if you like the photos, you’ll love it throughout.

The room is so cosy, I loved the window seat for ready and the bed was so comfortable. It’s easy to link the TV to devices. The bathroom was great.

Even at peak times the wait for a lift was short. Breakfast was delicious but believe them when they tell you the busier times and avoid if you can.

We loved networking in the cargo net and The Nest bar on the roof was just fantastic.

Can’t wait to stay here again!

The room was clean and comfortable, but I have two comments that explain only three stars.
First, check in was unpleasant as I arrived around 1pm from overseas and asked if they could have a room ready before 4pm (I was ready to pay for that). Instead of saying we’ll try but it might be hard, he glared as if affronted and said no, check in is at 4pm and then told me where to store my bag (which was in a room that wasn’t properly locked). Second, the food at the buffet breakfast is lovely, but the tables were filled with dirty dishes and those that weren’t were sticky. The staff at the bar were unwelcoming and seemed rather uninterested in serving. I’ve stayed several time in the past without these issues.

Short walk to train station and check in was easy even at 11pm at night! Luggage storage was a great convenience as well with no charge. I would stay here again if back in Stockholm.
