A very stylish hotel in the center of Stockholm. It is easy walking distance to most of the main attractions and a beautiful waterfront location. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. Staff was super friendly and able to help us with everything we needed.

I arrived at the property with an injury that made moving very difficult. We were greeted by a lovely young woman who took care of our check in, luggage, parking, ice and insured that i woul be comfortable and well taken care of. For the next 3 days we enjoyed amazing service by pleasant and unfailingly helpful staff. Couldn't have asked for more!

Definitely a sweet well appointed boutique hotel that offered a sumptuous breakfast included and helpful staff. Small room with un inviting chairs, facing the Grand Hotel across the alley and some thumping noise from the bar’s music below made hanging in the room or getting early sleep more of a challenge. I would stay there again but search out better room (not sure if this was an Expedia limitation). FYI Gym was next door at the Grand Hotel, not in house but easy access.

I had the most amazing stay at the Lydmar Hotel! The service was excellent, and the staff truly went above and beyond to help me with dinner reservations and travel arrangements. My room (412) was incredible—spacious with stunning views of the harbor, large beautiful windows, and high ceilings. The amenities were top-notch, including a hair dryer and straightener, which saved me from having to pack my own. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering high-quality food with a great variety each morning. The vibe of this boutique hotel is unmatched—it felt like a home away from home for the three nights I was there.

A very special thank you to Markus and Sanne, who were exceptional in their warmth, friendliness, and customer service, making me feel so welcome. I will definitely be back! Thank you, Lydmar Hotel, for a memorable stay!

One Night in Stockholm

Stayed one night on our way back to the US. Recommended by the Hotel next door the Grand Hotel. Funky hotel, worth the money. People friendly at the front desk. Great location. Room big enough for two people. They let us have breakfast 20 minutes early due to our early flight. I would recommend.

The check-in area is extremely cramped and small. We arrived a little before check-in and had to lug our baggage up the stairs. A bellhop would be a nice touch at the entrance.

The room was okay. We booked a medium king and it was just a normal room. It had nice large windows but we looked at another building and the water with some boats in the distance. The room t felt like there was no room to put our luggage or belongings. All the tables were extremely low and had decor on them. The bathroom was awkward in that it had a huge window the building next door could see in, or you had to pull the curtains which made it so the bathroom was very hot and didn't let the air from the windows in. The show/tub was also very high up and an awkward step out of, with nothing to grab on to except the glass partition that swung open and closed.

The hotel itself was in a great location and very walkable. The staff was fine, nothing stood out from anyone. When we were leaving to go out for the day I asked if I could get a hair dryer to the room since I couldn't find it and the one staff member said I needed to look in the drawers outside the bathroom, under the minibar. As we were on the way out sometimes its just nice to be told no problem and then they could have set the dryer out.

Not sure we would stay at this location again. I think there are better options for the price you pay.

Lydmar Hotel was a best surprise ever. Even with all the great reviews I didn't expect that place can be THAT good. Vibe there, all the design and photos on each step, exceptional service and welcoming - they made my stay! Even an early arrival directly from airport wasn't a problem - they made sure I have a comfy place to work at and managed super early check-in. And a restaurant area - oh, an evening woth a glass of wine there is a must have.

The Lydmar hotel is an uber elegant, super hip hotel in the heart of Mali Stan, arguably the best location you could ever want if you're visiting stockholm. The staff is extremely vigilant in attending to your comfort and every need possible. The lobby bar is a wonderful place to just hang out, drink awesome cocktails or have a bite to eat, with exceptional music to create the perfect dreamy vibe. Their complimentary breakfast buffet is absolutely outstanding and something we looked forward to each morning. My only suggestion would be to upgrade their mattreses. Ours felt rather old and uncomfortable, despite a very nice topper and high quality linens. It just sort of slunk down in the middle. This was NOT enough to change our opinion of this absolutely gorgeous, wonderful hotel. The staff deserve a huge amount of praise for how incredibly attentive and kind they were! 5-stars!

I stayed at the Lydmar for four nights and my experience couldn’t have been better. The hotel is ideally located close to the Old Town, and my room had a water view, as promised, directly across from the Royal Palace and parliament. Boats departing for the archipelago were directly across the street. My room was clean and spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Best of all was the staff, which was uniformly exceptional. The breakfasts, which were included, were also superb. If I return to Stockholm, as hoped, I will stay again at the Lydmar.

Room (classic king) was a good size but completely lacking some basic functionalities - like adequate storage for suitcases and their contents. No proper bedside reading lights and no blackout blinds. Far too much art and pretentious trappings in room. Seems interior designer was more concerned with style than substance. So much more could have been done with room interior as it was an ok size (answer therefore from hotel should not be book a bigger room). We only had two items of hand luggage to store - which room could not adequately accommodate due to its poor furnishing. Suitcases would have been totally impossible. From the moment we set foot into the hotel we were given the VIP treatment. Karl and Sanne greeted us and extended the warmest of welcomes. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The 2nd floor terrace was a disappointment, at a hotel claiming 5* you expect the knowledge of making a decent Gin & Tonic or Cosmopolitan would be the easiest thing, however that appeared to be a challenge to the staff. As well the overall service in 2nd floor terrace was surprisingly poor by the male attendants.

Room was fantastic and we got an early checkin . On the harbour great views and can walk everywhere . Can’t stress how good the room and hotel itself is. One HUGE negative though - the restaurant. The food was terrible . Lunch I had a burger and chips - the fries were inedible- was like they were from the bottom of the deep fry and were black. Staff asked me why I didn’t send them back !! Why did you send them to me in the first place !! Breakfast average at best for what is considered to be a luxury hotel - the choices were limited and it was only average . Front of desk staff very good but most of the restaurant staff were disinterested and impolite - especially the Barman - overall extremely good hotel but the food is a big fat miss

A very charming building on the water making Old town and the shopping district quite walkable. However, I had high expectations for this hotel based on reviews, and it did not measure up. Classic king room was very tiny; lobby very small and jammed with people much of the time. No concierge to assist with recommendations. Given the cost I would opt for a more comfortable hotel in a more central location next time. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast room was nice.
