I had some challenges in getting a hotel that would guarantee two single beds within the price range I was aiming for. This was easy to arrange with the hotel so that was a good start. It’s a one-off boutique style of hotel with lots of retro character throughout and with an abundance of bookshelves, wood paneling and unique pieces of furniture. Great breakfast offering and friendly and helpful staff. Booked a Twin Executive Oak room. It’s well situated and most places and attractions are within easy reach.
Not much storage space apart from coat rail and hangers. Toilet/shower room was a small wet room but the glass panel separating the shower section did not extend all the way to the wall so the water would find its way round the large gap and into the rest of the room and alI over the floor and toilet seat. Also, the toilet was situated by the door which had a frosted glass panel - which is okay if you like that sort of thing. Old secondary double glazing which struggled to keep the heat in and created a colder zone by the windows. As with a lot of hotels, the heating controls had a mind of their own.
Ultimately, for a long weekend and working to a budget this is great hotel. It’s quirky and very relaxing. Needs some investment.

A very well run hotel in a great location. Less than 5 mins walk to the train station. Room was spacious with a comfortable couch. Beds were very comfortable as well. A very abundant breakfast with options for gluten free and dairy free/vegan including a version the traditional hard bread, vegan cheese, vegan butter, soya milk, oat milk etc. Friendly staff as well for who nothing was a trouble. Very highly recommend this hotel.

Our Oak room gave just enough spreading-out space to be comfortable for a 7-night stay. We’d have appreciated some drawers for small items, and we found the bathroom difficult to use. Nice accomodation, but keep looking.
In picking this hotel, I expected a more upscale experience. The room was comfortable, but a bit dated. And the features Americans are used to like tissues and washcloths are not included. We found it wasn't easy to use the shower in that the entire bathroom floor was flooded after use. For the price point, it was a good stay--not a great stay.

We paid for a Deluxe. Room and I must admit I was a tad disappointed, the photographer was clever with the angles. The balcony was disappointing. The hotel is looking a little tired and the bathroom we had is definitely due an upgrade, the shower was very underwhelming. In the restaurant area all the the lights needed dusting, I wrote Dusty on one of them, it needs a good clean.
The plus side, the staff are great, from front of house to the restaurant and the chamber workers, very polite, professional and friendly. Great location.

The hotel was probably the highlight of our Stockholm trip. The lobby and the room were wonderfully furnished. The hotel staff was super friendly. And the breakfast was delicious. If you visit in summer, the rooms get quite hot (no AC)--you can get fan from the front deak if you ask though.

The breakfast in the morning had a fresh variety of options. The gym was amazing, my favorite part of the hotel. It had a great selection of equipment and was kept very clean. My penthouse room offered the loveliest view of the rooftops at night. I was grateful that I could open the window fully in order to let the cold air in. I found the bedroom and bathroom to be just the right size, though I couldn't use the subscription services on the TV since they didn't work with my US subscriptions. Is there a way around that? Thankfully, even though there were only 4 TV channels available, at least 1 played English-speaking shows regularly. It was great being able to access music videos as well.

Even though I was incorrectly told that housekeeping would only go into my room if requested, my concerns were immediately addressed after I went downstairs with my complaint. I was provided with a DND hanger for my room that wasn't initially provided upon arrival. I was happy to have the situation addressed so quickly.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. Despite not knowing about the hot food bar until my last full day, I was quite pleased with the selection of options available, particularly the gluten-free section. The hotel is also conveniently situated in the Ostermalm neighborhood, with plenty of access to cafes, restaurants, shopping, and public transportation. I even walked over to the local cinema the night before I left. I definitely wasn't wanting for anything during my fairly long stay.

Everything was great about our stay - good breakfast, clean rooms, excellent location, black out shades that actually worked - except for the blond woman with the black glasses who worked at the reception desk. She was constantly haranguing guests and her co-workers like a school principal. I was scolded for bringing a hot dog into the lobby, my daughter heard it for opening a door she thought was a bathroom, another guest was chastised for leaving her luggage in the wrong place, and another got in trouble for asking about AC. We all joked about this woman who stood guard like a police officer looking for trouble. Otherwise, the Mornington was a good choice!
