Good central hotel. Rooms on small side

Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. 3 night stay; booked a queen bedded room as wanted a bigger room. Room still very small and requested a move to a king. This was provided at small cost and was much better.
Staff very willing to help including printing documents.

Hotel basic but has everything you need - a little dusty in areas. Lacks air conditioning so we slept with windows open - unfortunately every single morning between 4-6am an extremely loud glass bottle collection lorry became an awfully unpleasant wake up alarm. There were only sheer curtains so light couldn’t be fully blocked out (keeping the room hot during the day for our evening return) luckily we did have a fan. One thing the hotel did very very well was breakfast! The hotel is also located conveniently in relation to the cities attractions & transport links. There is an alcohol store at the end of the street from the hotel which could be heard throughout the night, it didn’t hugely bother me - nowhere near as much as the glass collection lorry every morning. The staff were always friendly, always greeted us upon arrival or return, also helped when we had a query. The staff at Story hotel were excellent! Overall, we enjoyed our stay mostly for the convenient location and the breakfasts.

The location is awesome and very fashionable hotel. Great breakfast. Close to a train stop 1 over from Central station. Cool bar on the bottom floor. It was recommended by a Swedish friend and it didn’t disappoint.

A lovely boutique hotel in the upscale shopping area of Stockholm. My king room with balcony was beautiful with chic details like wooden floors, designer lamps and hangers and Grown Alchemist products in the bathroom. The staff is also worth a mention, very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location near many amenities. However, if you want to sleep before 1 a.m. when the bar downstairs closes, you should stay elsewhere. The staff was very responsive to us and said they asked the for the music to be turned down and gave us earplugs, but ask to be in a room away from the bar if you want to stay here.

Won’t be coming back


Unfortunately the story hotel in Stockholm is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.
This is the first time I have ever complained about a hotel to this extreme.
We had 3 rooms booked and all of us complained about the noise.
Loud music until very late meant disrupted sleep. Shouting from the street and noise from the hallway and surrounding rooms.
The breakfast was constantly busy and the food was not very nice at all if there was anything left.
We noticed when making the bed on the last morning that the duvet was disgusting and stained.
We could not wait to leave.
When complaining the staff shrugged their shoulders
Sounds like you get a lot of complaints.

Excellent location, 3 minutes walk from the Metro station, which is a station after the central station. They make room every day and do an excellent jo.
Hotel is on top of a bar, which can be noisy in the corridor but fine inside the room.
The breakfast is ok but the entire room is dark like nightclub.

A really disappointing stay overall. We had room 106. It was noisy, not especially comfortable. We really didn’t enjoy the decor, it wasn’t our vibe at all and not what we expected. We slept ok thanks to earplugs we requested from reception. Otherwise there was no chance of any sleep before the bar closed. The hotel is very noisy, all the doors slam, the bar is loud and we also had a room overlooking the street (the latter is completely understandable).

Breakfast was a strange affair and is served in a badly laid out space.

Concern: stairway doors are the fire door and broke at time we were there, known issue. No housekeeping service last night.

The lights in the bathroom did not work. You could not get the room to cool-down as their is no air conditioning. So you had to open the windows, however it is so noisy and revellers continue until 3am everyday being loud and drunk. Also does not help that this hotel has a built in bar luring the revellers in. Just could not get one full night of sleep in. The staff is very friendly though but friendly does not solve the above. Very good breakfast. Limited storage for clothing.

Locationwise the hotel is perfectly located in mu opinion. Easy to walk or take underground whereever you need. Rooms were ok, some areas vould need some handyman fixing but nothing major. Enjoyed the stay. Restaurant was a must visit and pub crowded during the weekend (also locals visited the place which is a plus for me)

Central and cosy rooms

Check in was good and easy and although we arrived early during the day, around 10am, our room was available which was great. The room was very spacious (King), clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good, with a small selection of many different food items. It seems the room is not cleaned every day, nobody came to clean on Monday. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel which on Saturday night turns into a club and there was loud pumping music until quite late and then people talking very loudly outside the hotel until around 4am! Our window was open because the room was quite hot and there was no way to reduce the heat (we were on the 2nd floor). Even sleeping with earplugs did not help to reduce the noise.

It was our second stay at Story Hotel. We opted to come back as it's in a very convenient location - close to Ostermalmstorg station, and walkable to Gamla Stan and other parts of the city. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, with a range of hot and cold drinks, fruits, pastries, cereals and cold meats.
