The hotel is in a great location ,right opposite the Arlanda Express terminal and easy walking distance to Old town and also shops, restaurants and bars. Reception team are extremely friendly and helpful for any questions about the city and getting around.Our room was fairly small but had everything we needed. Shower was powerful. Amazing experience - it’s in a perfect location, a stones throw away from the city centre train station and all the shops. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful, even when I lost my bag they found it for me. Rooms are a bit on the small side but for the price I can’t complain. Beds were comfortable and the space worked wonderfully for me and my daughter. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

I’ve been staying at this hotel in Stockholm since the 90s and I always come back to it. I love its boutique type feeling and the location is fabulous as it’s opposite the Arlanda Express and has a metro stop around the corner. It’s also close to Drottninggatan a street that has many shops and leads you to Gamla Stan. The rooms are lovely and clean with powerful showers and there is plenty of choice at breakfast. Whilst I have stayed at others places in Stockholm, I tend to always come back to the Freys for its great location.

I had a wonderful stay at Freys Hotel last weekend. The property has a lovely, traditional feel while being situated in a modern part of town. The location couldn’t have been better — directly opposite Central Station and the Arlanda Express, with bars and restaurants close by but without any intrusive noise.
My room was beautiful: clean, luxurious, and with exceptionally comfortable beds. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which really added to the experience. Breakfast was very enjoyable, with a good continental selection; although the vegetarian options were a little limited, it was still a satisfying start to the day.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and Freys Hotel will definitely be my first choice for future visits to Stockholm.

We had an outstanding stay at Freys Hotel. Our room for three was spot-on — spacious, comfortable, and really well thought out. The beds were wonderfully comfy, the shower was powerful, and all the little in-room amenities were exactly what you want after a long day exploring Stockholm. The double glazing deserves its own shout-out too… we heard absolutely nothing from the street. Bliss.
The reception team were brilliant from start to finish: warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. You get the sense they really care about guests having a great stay.
We also loved the attached restaurant. Breakfast was a proper highlight — fresh, plentiful, and great quality. Hot dishes, cold meats, pastries, baked goodies… the sort of spread where you go back “just for a little more” even though you’re already full.
In short: a superb hotel, fantastic staff, great location, and genuinely one of the best city-break stays we’ve had. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for access to the train station. Wifi was fast, room was small but comfortable, slightly weird shower. The big negative was terribly noisy plumbing. I heard water running through the pipes all night. It wasn't consistent like white noise, but went up and down in volume continuously.

Would not recommend. Everything was old, but not in a fun or historic way. Lots of throw pillows and curtains, which seemed dusty. No air-conditioning. Since the building is old, it’s difficult to get to your room and you have to take multiple doors with keys down winding hallways. The staff does not help you to your room with your luggage. The breakfast was pretty terrible and after the first morning, we ended up going out for breakfast, even though their breakfast was free. The location was nice! We would never stay here again though.

Whilst reception was very welcoming the room was very small where you could hardly move. The bathroom was even smaller and would not be suitable for someone above average size.
Breakfast was included but pretty pointless as was unable to eat anything-gluten and wheat free options very limited to non existent. The look of the scrambled eggs where very off-putting unless you like blancmange. This hotel was the best location - 2 minutes from Arlanda express and 5 minutes from the central station. The palace and the old town was within walking distance and the main high street for retail stores was also 5-10 minutes walk.

A lovely stay in a city we’ve never been. Sprung for the large balcony room which was great for our family of 4. Really enjoyed the attached restaurant for both breakfast (exceptional complimentary buffet) and dinner (dream beer list).

The hotel staff is incredibly professional and kind. They let us check in early when we arrived to leave our bags after arriving on the train. The central station is only 1 city block from this hotel. It is quaint and an older hotel but super clean and well maintained. We loved the old world European feel. Just know that there is no Air condition in this hotel. This may not be in issue for some but if you're looking to cool off after a day of walking around your coming back to an oven. The maintenance came up and brought me 2 air fans. Thank God I was not there longer than 2 days. The hotel rooms are unique and there are not safes deposit boxes in the room. Just an FYI. Shower pressure was really nice though. The service is hard to put your finger on. They answered every question, but it was kind of like a matter of fact. The breakfast was great and included. The room keys actual key which is trickly to carry if you don't have a purse as its bulky heart shape.

The room had a kettle, fridge, tv, a socket at the mirror for the hairdryer, full length mirror, but hanging space was not full length. The bed was more comfortable than it looked. No safe in room but safety deposit boxes downstairs at reception. Hotel was clean, felt safe as a single female, staff all pleasant. Breakfast lots of choice but maybe could have been hotter, the eggs were warm but not hot. Ate in the restaurant downstairs which was also very good. The hotel is owned by the YWCA-YMCA Central which is a non-profit organization with over 2, 000 members, ranging from basketball, gymnastics, camps for music, choirs, orchestras, youth choir and more. All of our profits go to the YWCA-YMCA Central's children and youth.
The rooms are spacious and have good workspace and Wi-Fi. All rooms also have shower, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, safe, and free television.
Garage is available but must be pre booked as we have limited space. Guests have free access to the gym, so you can stay in shape even when you're on the road.
The gym is well equipped and has changing rooms plus a sauna. The dining room serves a large breakfast buffet each morning.
