Only disappointment was that for the first few days we could connect the laptop via a cable and watch our own content, but the system updated through our stay and it was not possible after that. We absolutely loved our stay at the Scandic. The property manager was extremely helpful with holding onto our bags for a few days prior to our stay. The location is close to Slussen station and extremely walkable. Our room was cozy and clean with a great view of the water. The hotel breakfast was incredible - make sure you book a spot in advance because they do get full.

Beautiful and clean but not quiet

Beautiful and clean hotel in the center of everything Stockholm has to offer! Loved the friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was quite a spread of Swedish foods. My only complaint was the loud music played across the street from the hotel every evening (during the week) until about 10pm. It made bedtime with my infant a little tricky. Otherwise a family friendly environment.

I booked a queen bed room but was issued a 2 single bed room. Concierge fairly unapologetic about this. Room was tiny, extremely dusty, and worn. Bed was saggy and pillows flat. Mold on door trim in bathroom and shower system without scalding protection. Swedish hot water is very hot. Rooftop bar service level was non-existent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Scandic. The room was larger than expected, and any issues that we encountered during our stay were quickly sorted out by the friendly staff. Location-wise, it was within walking distance of the old town and had easy access to buses and the metro.

Nice breakfast, but improvements needed

The good: The staff set up the sinhle couch bed upon our arrival for our children, which was so convenient. The breakfast had many options and was good.
The bad: The bathroom was tiny and the shower only had a movable glass door and the shower head didn’t stay in place after our first two showers, so water got everywhere in the bathroom soaking all of the towels.
There was construction so there was no terrace bar or restaurant available.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms and beds are small. After our first night we asked if a larger room with a larger bed was available. Thankfully, something was available. The first room was uncomfortable, cramped and hard to sleep in. The replacement room was better but still small. Rooms did not have kettles, coffee or tea. On the plus side, the location was good and, as I said earlier, the staff was pleasant and responsive.

The hotel has a small rooftop bar with a beautiful view of the Stockholm waterfront and Djurgarden island. The breakfast was exceptional! The location is very convenient to Old Stockholm and the Slussen city train station. There is construction happening outside of the hotel, but it was fine. The area is going to be awesome in a year or two. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but quiet. A great value for the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was conveniently placed for exploring the Old City. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The room was basic, but clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooftop terrace, though small and only open in the evenings, had great views over the city.

Room was very hot - fans needed or Air Conditioning.
Made for some uncomfortable sleeping conditions, since deck door wasnt possible to keep open all night long due to proximity of neighbours smoking on their decks. Liked the neighbourhood for restaurants, walks and shopping.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Great location in terms of being near the metro, bus stops, ferry as well as close to a ton of restaurants/bars and easy walk across bridge to Gamla Stan. Breakfast spread was superb. Bed was comfortable.

It was warmer than anticipated and it would have been nice to be able to open the window a bit more, but I believe that's limited by local regulations. We had a lot of luggage and not a lot of space to put it. Would have appreciated a small chest of drawers or nightstand and a larger counter and/or hooks in the bathroom so we could have organized our space a bit more.

It was okay.

Accommodation in Stockholm is expensive - so we were pleased to get a room for £250 a night. The room was more or less what we expected. Basically it is functional. Pull down bed, 2-star feel - but okay.

Buyer beware- they do not guarantee room type. This means that at check in you can book a queen room and be given a single bed even when the reservation was for two adults. This happened to us at 11 pm at night and the front desk worker was unwilling to help, I would stay somewhere else if possible.

We liked it because it is near to the subway and busses.
Also the staff from reception, cleaning, restaurants are all fantastic and helpful. The morning buffet was great, so many dishes to choose from as well as fruit.
Our room had a great view over the water and the room might have been a bit small but always kept clean.
We were there last year and decided to go back this year.
We are very pleased and we will come back again for sure.

Room was small but everything was great its really close to old town and being new to busses and metro we were able to easily access both really close to the hotel. Definitely try aifur while you’re there. The breakfast was good with ample amount of options. Just know you have to park on the street and let them know you need in the garage if you are parking there. 5-5 would recommend.

Not Worth It

The pictures are completely different to the actual room. It was very dirty and small. When asking for a cleaning service and for an extra bed to be made, no one came so I had to make the bed myself, but then I left and came back to the bed being undone, no fresh towels or duvets as requested; made no sense. Some of the front desk staff during the day were very unhelpful when helping. You have no view, and it’s not in a great location, there are better hotels. The breakfast is also limited for vegetarians. Overall, depressing and disappointing stay, don’t bother booking here.

Amazing location and gym/sauna

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the subway and a short walk to bars and restaurants. It's also walkable to the other more touristy parts of Stockholm. The lobby is average, but the gym and sauna is surprisingly nice. The rooftop terrace is also a very good feature. We opted for the room with a balcony and it was huge, with a great view of the water. The rest of the room is comfortable, but nothing too special. I would opt for the balcony room if possible. The only downside was there was someone else's beverages left in our mini fridge when we checked in.

Generally i liked this hotel, the location was very good as it was a few min walk to old town and to the ferry. The staff were professional amd polite. The breakfast was good, and there was no issue finding a seat. There was parking on site which was a big plus!
The rooftop restaurant was a little small and the menu was limited but the food was satisfying.
Only issue is they do not have AC, the room was hot and hard to sleep in. I was on the 7th floor so when i opened the window, i would get all the noise from the bar next door, so even more hard to sleep.
Othet then that, it was great. I would recommend this place.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great; the dinners were nothing special. All was well until my last night when the main dining area was closed and we had no choice but to use the top floor terrace. This small space was fully occupied by a private party so I was forced to eat my meal in my room. One of the hotel staff said that there wasn't enough staff to have both eating places operating.

Great breakfast buffet. Great location from walking to slussen T banan. We loved staying at Sjömanshotellet.
Have stayed at many hotels during our many trips but your hotell had a certain charm about it . We were there for almost 3 weeks and we are planning to come back.

Great location for work and play

Close to Slussen Tunnelbarna and Buses. Easy walking to several key spots. Food good, but a bit pricey. Breakfast was included with the room and there was plenty to chose from. Quiet on the whole, ever with building works in neighborhood.

Great dog-friendly hotel.

We stayed for one night with our dog, who got a little doggy bag on arrival with som lovely dog treats. She was also allowed to hang with us for some drinks in the lobby bar.
Everything was great, including the breakfast, which was awesome. Don't forget to try the scrambled eggs!

Great Hotel with perfect location

Great hotel close to all transport links - bus, underground and ferries - and easy walking distance to city centre and Gamla Stan. View from the balcony over Skeppsholmen and Djurgarden was terrific. Room was spacious and well presented, with good sized bathroom. All staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, and breakfast choice was increadible. Already looking to book again when we visit Stockholm later in the year.

Fantastisk frukost och läge på hotellet. Lätt att hitta. Rena rum, varmt och skönt trots väldigt kalla minus utomhus. En enda nackdel och det var kuddarna. De kändes som att de var fyllda med luft och känslan av att vilja sticka in en nål infann sig flera gånger. Fick sova utan.
