The quality and choice of food is good. Cleanliness is also good. However this is extremely poor value for money. Many properties at half the price are better.
Also staff are aggressively sending many emails and offering additional services. They even ask guests to fill paper forms on arrival, asking for all unnecessary private information (for marketing and selling purposes).

This property is wonderful if you don't want to stay in the super touristy areas, but still be close to the city. The hotel is right off the teksniska subway stop, and the subway system is very easy to figure out and use. You don't need a car to stay comfortably at this hotel. The breakfast was delicious! My partner and I usually don't eat breakfast, but we'd wake up in time to make it to this one, because we loved it so much! The rooms are clean, but a bit small if you have more than two luggage bags.

This hotel is conveniently located a few metro stops from T Central and Gamla stan with 3 minutes walk to the nearest station. Bus routes are also nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast offers a variety of foods and drinks for all ages, pretty nice. Recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Great location; rooms clean & quiet. I would have given 5 stars but I went to the dining room for dinner and there was no staff there. I stood and waited for five minute minutes - there were people eating - and no staff in sight. I ended up going down the street for pizza (which was pretty good!)

I found this hotel to be very much what a really good hotel should be and that is,

a) a refuge for the traveller

b) very polite, friendly and courteous staff

c) a hotel with excellent proximity to the principal concerns of Stockholm

d) an hotel with excellent facilities which were spotlessly kept

e) an hotel which reflected the people of that country

f) the hotel had a vibe of both being safe and quiet

I very much look forward to returning when I am next in Stockholm and do genuinely recommend to others to stay at the Elite Hotel Arcadia.

We have stayed here a few times however notice small things which give the hotel a slight air of neglect — missing tiles in the shower area, for example . Staff excellent as always but missed the bar being available for a drink or snack and definitely missed the waffles at breakfast!

Best choice for KTH visits

The Elite Hotel is your best choice by far if school, business, or conferences take you to the nearby Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast bar offers a great variety even for extended stays- I've stayed here for up to two weeks at a time. Amenities (sauna and gym) are good, but nothing special. What is special, however, is the staff that is always friendly and helpful. I've seen some familiar faces over the years, and it is always a warm welcome.

The breakfast!!! Incredible! Never, ever have I seen such a spread - and the variety was like a sampler of Swedish cusine. The hotel is charming, location is excellent and the staff were lovely.
The sauna got really hot! So nice... many saunas are only warm. I look forward to another chance to stay with Elite.

The hotel is conveniently located near KTH. It has a very good breakfast. The hotel however is in a pretty old building, with an old elevator. The room was comfortable in general. I would say it is a slightly above average hotel, very good for spending a night while visiting for business, less so for vacations.

Nice hotel with good breakfast. Just make sure you do not stay on the 5th floor if you don't like to walk stairs with your bags. Lift only runs to the 4th.

My stay at the Elite hotel was fine but I'm not happy at all as Hotels.com made me pay 3 times what I should normally pay. For three nights I paid 6930SEK for 3 nights while I found out that the hotel charges only 810SEK per night

Enjoyed our two night stay here. The bar is quirky and we had fun evenings. The lift is real old school but does the job. The room and breakfast were typically Swedish and the beds were comfortable.

Excellent location - buses and trains in walking distance. The rooms, although compact, were comfortable with fabulous beds and great showers. Breakfast was the best we have had in a long time- both hot and cold food and so much choice! Also nice to have a small bar for a nightcap after spending a day sightseeing. The only thing we missed was a kettle in the room did that early cuppa before breakfast -otherwise highly recommended!

Had a very pleasant 2 night stay with my 6 year old daughter in the beginning of December. Fast check-in and check-out. Good standard of the room. Just a bit small shower for an (slightly) overweight man. Good breakfast. Friendly staff that remembered and followed up on my daughter's concern at check-in about wifi, which was excellent by the way. A nice touch that makes you feel seen as a customer. Only downside is that surrounding area is a bit boring. Most guests seem to have some business at Royal Institute of Technology, which is of ~300m distance. But for the rest of us it is close to a Subway station (~100m) so it is easy to go anywhere in central Stockholm.

Lovely, clean hotel with easy access to public transport. The city centre is a 20 minute walk away through picturesque streets. Hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast had a good variety of things to eat and drink, and access to the sauna was a real plus.

Nice simple hotel with good breakfast

The hotel was a good base for a weekend exploring Stockholm. It's basic, but comfy and clean and the buffet breakfast was very good.
It is a little out of the centre, but a lot better value. There is a metro station only a few minutes walk away, otherwise it's about 20-25 mins walk to the central station area.
Whilst in Stockholm I would recommend the Vasa Museum, Fotografiska (which has nice views and bar) and Sodermalm, Skansen and a boat trip out into the Archapeligo. Fabrique had the best cardamom buns and Krip In (Gamla Stan) was a nice place for dinner.

Really enjoyed my stay here and would go again. Very clean , comfortable room and good choice at breakfast. Hotel is in a quiet area but handy for metro which is just 2 mins away. Negatives are no tea/coffee making facilities in bedroom though when I asked at reception they did supply me with a kettle. Also the choice of food in the restaurant is limited. Only about 6 dishes and I didn't fancy any of them! There is a nice Greek restaurant across the road however. Staff are very friendly and will assist you in whatever way they can.

The hotel is only 3 stops on the underground from the central station but the area is really quiet. It is only a 2 minute walk to the underground as well so transport is easy. Breakfast is nice with a selection of continential options, some cooked options and pancakes.

The hotel overall was excellent,

Me and my Mrs stayed for 7 nights with breakfast included and the overall stay was superb. Good location (although about a 2-3 mile walk from the south of Stockholm), good facilities, gym, sauna, bar, breafkast, dinner, wifi, TV and just overall excellent.

Excellent staff service and pleasing facilities. Generous, fresh full breakfast each day and a quiet bar area with a wide range of wines and beers. Dinner menu a little narrow with little options for vegetarian diners. Spacious room with excellent bed and also effective, free Wi-Fi facility. Some small irritations such as lack of space for luggage, small drinking glasses, duvet only and no top sheet an inability to control room temperature (Swedes prefer the room very warm whereas we Australians prefer it a little cooler) and a little dust on the bed side tables. However, overall, this experience was very positive, the price reasonable and we shall book in again when we next visit.

The hotel overall was just okay. Nothing really stands out about it in a particularly good way. It's close to the Tekniska Tbana which is handy. The staff were very friendly, but the room was the let down. They claim to be a 4 star hotel, but I couldn't figure out how they got that rating. Our room door was broken and caused us great difficulty to close. The bathroom smelled rotten and the bed/pillows were just a nightmare. The free breakfast buffet was decent and free WiFi was good. I would rate this overall 3 out of 5.

The hotel is not bad by itself. I woud say it is good enough. BUT
I got the feeling this is an upscale dormitory not a 4 star hotel. Definitly it is not a 4 star hotel. May be 3 stars are OK. 4 stars is a pure overstatement.

Stockholm weekend getaway

The hotel was very clean with comfortable beds. The free wifi and extensive breakfast buffet was a real treat. There isn't much to do in the area; however, the metro is a short walk and only a few stops from central Stockholm and old town. This isn't all bad since the metro stations are all beautiful works of art and a must-see for any visitor.

Elite Hotel Arcadia Great location

I was met at the entrance by a welcoming employee, it was a quick check in exactly what I needed after the delayed flight, my room was small but it was what i expected with a stand up shower room, tv and free internet which is always a Good thing. My room was well presented presented in a clean manor all in all it was well worth what i paid there is also a small gym studio which i used occasional with the basic equipment to help keep in shape. All in all it was a great stay so if your looking for a reasonable priced hotel in a good location with great transport links reasonable local dinning option this is a 7/10. Also remember they only serve breakfast which is good because it encourages you to go out and wonder the city of Stockholm ;-)

The hotel is OK, breakfasts were good, although the serving staff was hard to be seen (e.g., hot water thermos-flasks would be empty preventing customers to make tea for breakfast). The area is not so nice, a bit off the city centre, but close to a metro station if one does not want to walk. It was a bit of surprise to see a rat crossing a road only a few metes from the hotel.

Det var väldigt varmt i rummet. Reglaget till elementet var trasigt vilket gjorde att temperaturen inte gick att reglera.

Städpersonalen använde stickkontakten i vårt rum för dammsugaren. Dörren stog därför öppen utan att personalen hade koll på om någon gick in. När jag kom dit tog hon bara ut kontakten men kollade inte om det faktiskt var mitt rum jag gick in i. Det tycker inte jag kändes bra.
