The reason for my poor review has nothing to do with the staff. They were amazing super friendly and really kind. My issue was the room and hotel itself it is dated, dirty and specifically really dusty. The shower and ceilings were so gross. The shower didn’t even operate normally. We also had no heating and the water was cold. The only way you could make the shower warm is if you flushed the toilet.

The photos on the website do not show the state and reality of what this hotel really looks like.

I unfortunately will never be staying at this hotel again and urge you not to.

Very nice large room with comfortable beds and a fresh clean bathroom. Drinks making facilities and decent toiletries in large bottles.
The batteries had died in the tv remote and when I swapped them around to get it working I discovered there were no channels broadcasting in English- would be good to have at least one.
Breakfast very nice though extremely busy.

Location was great for bus connection to airport. Good location for getting into city centre, walkable or underground station 10 mins walk. Area seemed very quiet. Hotel had all facilities we required, room was good size, bed comfortable. Breakfast had good range of options. Only downside 1of 4 lifts was out of order for 6 days. Would stay again.

Stay away from this property

I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Rather obnoxious staff, no information at point of booking that hotel lacks AC. My room was 25 degrees and windows locked so can only open a small crack. The windows were locked and staff not willing to unlock them as they see it as a risk and have a policy to declare their guests incapable of staying safe in a room with open windows. Totally crazy policy, no willingness to help by staff and I cancelled my Elite frequent customer account. Never staying with Elite again. A joke of a hotel chain and sad that I am made to feel like a 12 year old when I stayed there. Never felt like that with Strawberry, Hilton or Best Western.
Would have been an easy fix but judging by previous reviews, this is not the first time.

What a beautiful hotel. It had the best breakfast buffet I've ever been to. There were selections for everything and the food was excellent. The hotel is just outside of the city center, but only a short walk to get to the action. There's a really nice park only a 10 minute walk away. I would highly recommend staying here. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Convenient to Stockholm metro. Large room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing with lots of variety. My only complaint is that the shower had no doors and was in the middle of the bathroom. We grew accustomed to it, but you had to make sure you were not going to slip if you stepped on a wet part of the floor.

Looks great and friendly staff but rooms worn and outdated

The reception and bar look fantastic... But the room was extremely poor. The wardrobe didn't close and was warped, the shower was over the bath and the bath creaked when you stood in it. Basic tables and the TV wouldn't turn on, so we asked reception and they said someone would come... No one came the first day so asked reception the second day and someone did come and get it working... Reception staff were friendly and helpful though and one let me use a travel plug for my stay.

LIKES: Breakfast buffet was ample and well stocked. Bed was very comfortable. We had a room with a separate sleeping area for kids - having the extra space was nice. It was just a short five minute walk to Metro station - conveniently located. Lots of amenities in the area. Service for storing bags after check out was great. Stowed luggage felt safe and secure.

MINOR DISLIKES: We were offered an upgrade to a larger room, although we were told in advance it was windowless. We were hesitant, but thought we would try it out. Turns out I REALLY don't like hotel rooms without windows. I would not opt for this again. The room was oddly laid out, with the TV on a shelf in the middle of the room. It was awkward and felt very temporary. Also, one other dislike is that the posting at time of booking indicated pool and gym. While technically this is factual, as the hotel does indeed have a pool and gym, it is part of the wellness spa and access is not included in the room rate. It was quite expensive to access. For two of us to access was not far off the cost of staying in the hotel for a night.

The level of cleanliness is excellent, but housekeeping doesn't care about eco-friendliness. There are the usual signs of leaving towels on floor, yet they take ALL towels! And threw out my soap after only two days!

Room walls are paper thin so you can hear everything especially when doors are shutting all night. There is no a/c so it gets hot. Room was by the street so heard traffic all night so it was hard to sleep. Staff was great with a great spa.

I had a great stay at Elite Odenplan. Between 2 stations (metro and commuter train) getting there from Arlanda airport and to places of interest was super-easy. The room was small, but very clean and had everything you need- iron, hair dryer, safe, mini bar etc. The spa services and the gym is the must! Gym is free of charge, but the spa has a surcharge. The facilities are totally worth it though. The surrounding area is lovely, safe and quiet with many places to eat nearby and a lidl just around the corner for basic groceries shopping, water etc. I’d go back again.

Walking distance to Haga park (and parkrun!)
Good transport links - the airport bus stops just down the street & Odenplan station with buses & trains is a short walk too.
Plenty of places nearby to eat & drink. We particularly enjoyed thali at the Muskot Kők Indian on the corner & there is a small Lidl for snacks & any forgotten toiletries!

Very clean and nice rooms

First night my partner went downstairs to ask for an extra blanket as i was quite cold, they said we will send someone straight away with it. It never arrived.
On our last day we went downstairs for breakfast and everything was already been put away, was 10.10am and breakfast ended at 10.30am.
We have one lunch at the restaurant and was awful. I got a stake with a salad and my partner meatballs with smashed potatoes. Stake was cold and salad i could not eat it because of how much seasoning and salt they put on. Meatballs were dry and with a weird taste like they have been off, mashed potatoes on the other hand was amazing.

I've tried booking the spa but it was all booked up unfortunately, that was the only thing i do regret.

Overall our stay was ok, we loved our room and the heated bathroom floor.
The place is really clean and i loved the choice of 'Go green'.

The hotel is a bit far from city center but there any many transport options within 5 10 minutes walk that will take you wherever you need.
Airport is only half hour away with car, so thats an extra point.

The hotel is in Vasastan with easy links to the commuter train to the center. Or you can walk in 25 mins.

The hotel is being renovated and the spa was great, but they hadn't reached the 9th floor where we stayed. That said, the room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended for the price.

Upon arriving in our room we noticed that there was dirty marks on the net certain’s and the net certain was worn, dust on the bed posts, all was reported to reception said they would send up house keeping never attend the kettle was absolutely disgusting. - poor house keeping. Average hotel with average staff!

Perfect stay on the edge of central Stockholm

We loved our stay at Elite Palace. The staff were all very friendly, we arrived early to drop our luggage but we were given our room which was great after travelling on an overnight ferry.
The room was beautifully decorated with a spacious bathroom too. The room had a fridge which we found useful. The bed was so comfortable, it was the comfiest bed we had on our trip around the Baltic Sea.
Breakfast was a generous and varied affair and of a high standard. If I was being picky, the coffee wasn’t great. But everything else was.
The hotel is currently expanding to other floors of the building but despite the work we didn’t hear anything and weren’t disturbed at all.
We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Stockholm.

Very comfortable bed with luxury linen. Superb breakfast offering - everything you could want and all fantastic quality. All items fresh and constantly being topped up.

Quite a distance from the main area / central station - too far to walk but easy to use the Metro. Some nice cafes and bars and restaurants nearby, along with a Lidl.

Bathroom drain was smelly. Charged for the bottled water in the fridge which I found unusual and a bit cheapskate. No aircon in the room.

Disappointed we couldn't use the pool - you had to pay a LOT for a three hour session to use the spa - I'd missed the small print which is a shame as we were there for four nights and did want to use the pool area for a short time on one of the days.
