It is impossible to vacation in Cartegena and not get scammed and/or robbed. When we arrived they claimed they were upgrading us to their newer hotel. This was actually a bait and switch. The alleged newer, nicer hotel was a smaller building with less amenities and smaller rooms. The \"rooftop\" bar is just a balcony, no bar to be found. The views are awful. We had 3 rooms and all you could see from every window was the buildings next door and various construction equipment. The building must have also been so \"new\" that they hadn't established pest control because we were greeted by an enormous roach in our bathroom after one of our excursions. Speaking of excursions, DO NOT book with the people the hotel recommends. They even let them set up in the lobby. I specifically asked if they would pick us up and drop us off at the hotel when booking and they told me yes. The day of, they picked us up but dropped us off in the middle of nowhere. We had to walk pretty far just to find a taxi to take us back. Not to mention, on the excursion when we finally got to Cholon the tour guide who promised to protect us actually primed us and took our orders for the scammers. What they do is show you one price on the card machine and then add more after you've swiped your card. If you think you'll use cash instead keep it attached to your body, they steal EVERYTHING. And at Cholon they put you in the water with no option to sit on the actual beach.

I got to the hotel and they moved me to a new hotel. Said it was a room upgrade but not a big fan of having to swap hotels with no prior notice. More importantly I don't have my room cleaned much cause I reuse my towels and am pretty eco friendly and clean already. So when I ask for my room clean when I leave and even tell them there is a tip on the bed for the cleaner I expect that my room is clean when I get back, which it was not. Once I got back and was irritated they were all hands on deck. Most likely just one person who nodded at me and either had no idea what I was saying (I don't speak Spanish well) or as soon as I left was like \"yea, whatever dude\". Either way between that and the room switch it went from 4 starts to 3.

The staff went above and beyond for the service. The room was very spacious ,extra clean and the bed was super comfy! We were upgraded for free upon arrival, given welcome cocktails and given a voucher for a free meal to be used at any point in our stay. The breakfast was included and we have no negative comments about it everything was very good and fresh. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend! The location is also ideal to be able to go to all the touristy things.

Where do I begin, the Oz Hotel was amazing located in Bocagrande! The staff made me feel at home and safe with great energy and awesome recommendations for the area. I arrived earlier before my check in time and they accommodated me by preparing my room as early as they could. My boyfriend and I recalled enjoyed our stay and the breakfast. I recommend checking out the vendors offering beach clubs and also heading over to the beach. My room was very clean and the environment was safe especially for our first time traveling to Colombia. It’s 10-15 mins away from the walled city but taxis are available we were crazy enough to walk the be afternoon. Highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to visit again! I would give the staff an A+*.

We were upgraded to the newer sister hotel around the corner for free . The service , breakfast and cleanliness were what made this stay a five star experience for my partner and I . I would recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a great stay in Cartagena .

Everyone on the staff was friendly and professional, especially my housekeeper. It is within walking distance of several restaurants, shops, and the beach. I felt safe walking around at night alone. The rooms are spacious, and the bed was comfortable. However, they need at least 2 more elevators. There was always a wait and a line for the elevators. They had room service, but didn't have what I wanted off the menu when I tried using it. The power and water went out every night I was there. It would come back on within a few minutes. The toilet would run constantly, and it could be loud at times. Fortunately, I showered the night before because the water was off when I went to my room to finish packing after breakfast. I would stay there again for a short trip because of the staff, food, and location. I would not stay longer than 3 nights unless they fix the power and water issues. I was there 6 nights.

We booked at Hotel Oz Luxury but we were told we got a free upgrade at their other hotel. It was around the corner and it was still nice. The area was nice, staff were great, bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure, it doesn’t get hot but with the humidity felt great. Area was safe we walked around the whole surrounding area. Uber was easy to get and very affordable! Definitely going to come back and will stay at the Oz hotel.

I had a really good experience at the Oz Hotel. When I arrived I was redirected to their second property which was misunderstood. They stay was very pleasant and Luis was a spectacular help during my stay. The only downside to the secondary property the building is enclosed by two walls on both sides of the hotel so there is not much sunlight you will receive due to this. Breakfast buffet was nice and a variety each day and the staff is super super friendly. I am going to stay here again when I return. It presents resort service and the only item they are missing is direct access to a beach. Me sure to ask to meet Luis when you are there he is superb!

The hotel itself is beautifully designed on the inside — stylish, clean, and visually appealing. However, my experience was soured by the check-in process. The staff lied to me, claiming they were upgrading me to a newer and better building. In reality, they tried to move me to an older, less maintained building that was clearly a downgrade. It felt deceptive and left a bad impression right at the start.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! I simply could not ask for a better location. Right by the beach, restaurants, supermarket, souvenir shops, close proximity to the airport and most attractions. I had a junior suite and let me say it was a beautiful room. The king sized bed was so comfortable. I slept really well! The staff goes above and beyond to ensure everything is to your liking and comfort. They’re also super accommodating and go the extra mile to ensure every need is met. The server working the breakfast bar was truly wonderful, every morning he offers to bring your coffee even though you can get it yourself. These are the little touches that are often overlooked but not at Oz Hotel Luxury. I highly recommend staying with them!

Al principio pense que me estaban jugando sucio, pero resulta que las habitaciones en Oz normal son mas amplias y tienen una cama King en vez de dos matrimoniales. Quede muy satisfecho con el desayuno, las instalaciones, la ubicacion y la comodidad de las habitaciones. Quede impresionado por la calidad del servicio, la amabilidad del staff y el hecho de que se desvivian por atendernos rapida y atentamente. No tengo ninguna queja mas que el primer dia la habitacion no estaba del todo limpia, pero eso cambio en los siguientes dias. Puedo sinceramente recomendar Oz como un hotel comodo y seguro.

This was my first time visiting Cartagena Colombia as luxury hotel, which is phenomenal. I will be back there again and again and again as oz Luxury hotel Can accommodate me the staff of food was phenomenal. This service that they provide were unique experience. My room was great I loved it only one concern that I had and the staff jumped right onto it which was the air condition wasn’t producing the way that it should have. They came did something and got cool and then the air just didn’t work any good anymore so I really didn’t wanna bother the staff because they was constantly greeting people. Oh I mean I love the experience and I will not allow an air condition to ever stop me from going back there from The reception does to the concierge service to the dining room service, even housekeeping, and the guest day by day has Never changed telling everyone that if you’re going to the Oz luxury hotel in Cartagena Colombia, you cannot select a better choice.
