Our room was kept very clean. The staff tried their very best to talk to us but their English was limited. Good thing for Google Translate. I would not take uses of their all inclusive. The food was something else. They served chicken or pork every night. If I go back I would buy my meals. As the food costs I very reasonable.

Deceiving pictures. If you want to stay at a two star hotel and pay for a 4-star, this is your place. Incredibly deteriorated for a 8y/o building. Finishes were cheap, maintenance poor, food not great and service below average. Pretty outdated even though the building is not that old. Amazing location and views; and pool itself is nice… but not the services and quality you’d expect. If this was a 2 star hotel and I had paid half I would be satisfied

Nothing Good About This Hotel, everything is in disrepair or old and outdated, this place can't be a 4 Star like in the expedia site, we felt cheated out our money, and the most amazing thing is that expedia did not give us a refund due to the property denies refunding us, the property offer another room and food vouchers to try to make us stay and the manager excuse the issues blaming a next door construction that was not mentioned on the time of booking.

The ocean views are amazing, the breakfast is good and they have fair variety, but on our first night the hotel had no running water and we were stuck before our tour. We contacted reception and they kept lying until they said that the entire area had no running water. That is wack because a hotel is supposed to provide 24/7 water. Would stay there again? It’s a no from me due to that inconvenience.

I stayed at Hotel Cartagena Dubai for my birthday, and I was honestly so disappointed. I had high hopes based on the photos online, but they were completely misleading — definitely catfishing. The hotel looked old and worn out from the moment we arrived, and I immediately regretted booking it.
We had reserved a king room (online said slept two people), At check-in, we were charged more than what was listed online for the additional person, which felt unfair and unprofessional. For the price, we expected much better — especially since places like the Hyatt are at the same level price-wise and offer a far superior experience.
The room was at least clean and smelled good, but everything felt dated and poorly maintained. It just didn’t feel special — definitely not the kind of place you want to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday.
Also, it’s not centrally located at all. We ended up spending most of our time (and money) in the Walled City, which is absolutely where you should stay if you’re visiting Cartagena.
I wouldn’t stay at Hotel Cartagena Dubai again. If you want a memorable trip, skip this one and book something inside the Walled City — trust me.
We had reserved a king room (online said slept two people), At check-in, we were charged more than what was listed online for the additional person, which felt unfair and unprofessional. For the price, we expected much better — especially since places like the Hyatt are at the same level price-wise and offer a far superior experience.
The room was at least clean and smelled good, but everything felt dated and poorly maintained. It just didn’t feel special — definitely not the kind of place you want to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday.
Also, it’s not centrally located at all. We ended up spending most of our time (and money) in the Walled City, which is absolutely where you should stay if you’re visiting Cartagena.
I wouldn’t stay at Hotel Cartagena Dubai again. If you want a memorable trip, skip this one and book something inside the Walled City — trust me.

There was a number of things wrong in my room. The phone didnt work. The wifi was sometime-ish. Shower did not produce hot water. And there was no fixtures or drawers or anything for my clothing. Paint was dripping off the wall from the Air conditioner. And my safe wasnt working.

Very bad experience. Pay the same and go somewhere else for more. Dont get fooled by the name. The images are deceiving. This property needs urgent renovation. The see-through floor squeaks when you step on it. The service was terrible. Water was dripping into the bedroom. I asked the front desk 4 times to fix the water leaqu nonone showed up. When you call the front desk, no one never picks up. I spent 20 minutes daily drying puddles in the bedroom. The all-inclusive is only worth for the comfort and time efficiency. But the food meets minimum aceptable standards. We found a hair ingraved on piece of bread. As far as the drinks go, the bartender does not even know what kind of beer they offer. It did not taste like I wanted another one. I'd rather pay for something with a lable. The hard liquor was whiskey in a slushy. When i asked about the type of whiskey, she didn't have an answer. If you dont stack up with water during the day, be prepared to pay at night. Let's just not talk about the guym. If for any reason you still decide to stay here, make sure you call and ask about additional charges. We were charged additional \"tax\" on top of expedia tax. Basically, we got taxed twice, and or you can say trump tarrifs are expanding

The hotel is in a great location close to everything. The room we stayed had a great ocean view. But we had bo hot water, the a/c only worked partially, the electric and USB outlets didn't work, we couldn't call to report these problems became our phone didn't work either.

Worst Customer Service Ever! Had a booking error that was supposed to be for 3 but was mistakenly booked for just 1. After sitting on the phone with Expedia for over an hour, Expedia after several attempts to contact the hotel to correct the error could not get them to pick up the phone, or respond to emails. This all while we are literally standing in front of the receptionist at the front desk. After the unsuccessful attempts by Expedia, they stated we had to handle directly with the hotel staff. The staff including manager said it was not their fault that the error happened and we had to pay extra for the 2 additional people, no problem. Well we asked how much it was, and turns out it was the same price to get an additional room. So, we decided to just book the extra room. The receptionist stopped to no end to try and convince us to just pay extra to have the 2 additional persons added to the original booking, but if it’s the same price for an extra room why not book the extra room? After finally getting the extra room paid for, we were given the keys. We get the the original booked room, there were 3 king beds…. As if the original booking was actually for 3 people. Continue to the second booked room, key doesn’t work.We go down stairs to make manager aware that the key does not work, she gives us a manual key,that key doesn’t work.Get a new room,then that key didn’t work. Not enough characters to explain rest,but didn’t check in officially until 7:30pm.Terrible experience

The property is outdated, you need a different WiFi password for every room you enter, the food options are limited and lacked seasoning. We found 2 roaches. Most importantly, majority of the staff did not speak English so getting the things we need to make ourselves comfortable was difficult.

The food served in the Dubai Restaurant was good and different daily. The front desk attendants at check in were rude and the Dubai Restaurant staff was horrible. The restaurant serves coffee for dinner but milk or cream is not put out. 2 out of 5 nights when we asked we could get milk, the other 3 we were told milk is not offered and can not be brought out at dinner. The cleanliness of the room was less than average. Toilet paper and supplies were not restocked daily, the floor was gritty day after day, the string to dry items in the bathroom was moldy, and the shower door would not stay closed.

Hotel has lots of potential however it’s managed terribly. To start one card key per guest becomes they state they don’t have enough. The one gym machine looks and feels like it’s from the 90s old and non-functioning. Food is terrible and same for pool bar. Room bath is in the middle of the room and if you have guest they can see you through glass shower door and same for toilet glass door. No privacy. Room key needs to be inserted in slot for lights and electrical outlets to work no spare key so when you leave the electricity leaves with you. Thank God we didn’t get all inclusive package because it’s over value and terrible comparing to Cancun and Punta Cana is not even close maybe 10 percent of those all inclusive vacation spots. Food around the area is cheaper and better tasting. The beach across the street is closed and will remain close for the remainder of the year because of government construction from the sidewalk to the beach water it half of mile to each side of the hotel. Very disappointed, when it rains you cannot walk the streets around the hotel for days due to the l flooding that happens in the beach area. Good luck to you if you happen to stay at this hotel.
