I am very disappointed with my recent stay. I have stayed at this hotel for many years when returning to my hometown, and it used to hold many good memories for me. Sadly, this experience completely changed that.
After waiting a long time to check in, I was given what seemed to be the worst room in the hotel. The front desk staff was unkind when I politely asked if they could help me get into the room sooner.
The room was in very poor condition. There were mosquitoes and even cockroaches, loud noise from a busy alley, and a window that looked damaged and could not be locked. The bedding looked old and dirty, there was hair on the floor, and the room overall felt neglected and poorly maintained.
As a paying guest, I expected basic cleanliness, comfort, and respectful service. It was very disappointing, especially because this hotel once meant a lot to me.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the way they treat their guests.

The property was ok, no more no less. The hotel is a two-story colonial style building without elevator. The lack of an elevator could/should have been added to the property's description, just so potential guests can choose between booking there or moving on to another property. Our booking included two rooms and we were split between first and second floor. We requested a 2-bed option for one of the two rooms. At checking, staff reported to being unaware of our request for two beds and \"did us a favor\". We were accommodated in a \"triple\": this meant one full size bed and one single bed. Upon our insistance we were lodged on the same floor but on different ends of the building. We have experienced similar issues when booking with Expedia, that specific requests are not passed on to the hotel company & the hotels are not communicating/responding to specific requests.--- Wi-fi is very poor, either at the lobby or on the 2nd floor. The hotel is a bit noisy: bedroom doors are hollow and noise from early risers and late comers make it challenging to enjoy a good sleep. The cleaning staff starts very early and the sounds of buckets, keys, and related sounds are the equivalent to a wake up alarm sound. --- The bedroom, aside from a large hole on the closet door & a discarded mattress outside our bedroom window, had adequate space, comfortable beds, a quiet and cooling air conditioner, and good water pressure. The hotel has lots of opportunities to improve its condition.

This property was definitely in an accessible area to Cartagena's Walled City; however, I had numerous issues with my room. When I booked the property, I had requested for a \"City view\" option and I did not even get a window in my room. I raised these concerns to the hotel personnel and while they tried to change my room, they were keeping me in my original for the majority of my stay and then changing me on the last day. Also, the room had holes in the wall and it did not look appealing at all. The lamps were extremely dim. The bathroom was not clean at all and the shower's pressure was to say the least PAINFUL. From an outsider point of view this property looks appealing, but it is not how they present it.

Great location, even though is located on a busy street, the rooms were quiet, all the staff is really helpful.
That being said, the hotel is not as nice as it appears on pictures, it is quite dated and the rooms smell a little bit of mold, our room window had no view and the shower is designed in a way that the water splashes on to the rest of the bathroom. The free breakfast is you get what you pay for, so don’t expect an all you can eat buffet, it is very simple and not that great quality food.
Overall, is a simple place with great location for the price if you’re staying with a couple or friends, wouldn’t recommend families and be aware to request the ground floor beforehand if you have any trouble going up the stairs as there is no elevator.

Deberían cambiar el menú del desayuno. Me hospedé ahí 6 días y todos los días verán lo mismo, siempre era huevo.
Aparte la limpieza en las habitaciones, dure más de 4 días esperando que se dieran de cuenta que mi sábana estaba manchada y nunca la cambiaron.

This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are nothing like the website. They gave my husband and me room with 2 single bed, after we purchased JR suite. Than they moved us in another room with double bed with windows all blackened. The floor was dirty, the shower was full of mold and the bed was like a cardboard. The first night we stayed in the A/C was sooo loud and making horrible noises, that we couldn’t sleep. We left the next morning.
The front desk when we checked in were not helpful at all. They even make us sing check in note with everything in the room and told us we will be charged for everything.

Cute boutique hotel

This is a cozy and cute boutique hotel with a amazing staff . The breakfast is really good compared to most other places . Only small complaint is out of there control we had a power outage and it was very hot for hours and if I stayed in one of the larger hotels they ha e generators. Only other thing but again remember it’s a cute boutique hotel and extremely worth the price is the stairs hahaha small boutique hotel with only stairs . Also the AC gets the room comfortable but not cool .

Wonderful Customer Service!!!

This hotel is a little gem in Bocagrande. From the moment I got here the 2 young men that assisted me showed that this hotel values customer service and experience. I personally read hotel reviews before booking a room and I have stayed in bigger more expensive chain hotels in Bocagrande and the customer service was poor. I would rather stay in a smaller hotel, but with staff that have such amazing attitudes that they made me feel. at home. The hotel is literally around the corner from the beach. It is next to like 4 or 5 restaurants and across the street is the Maddison Hotel which belongs to the same owner and I was informed we are allowed to use it's services and facilities as well. There is a drug store on the corner and the restaurant in across the had live music until around 11pm. I enjoyed the music and honestly after 11pm the street got pretty quiet. If you prefer no noise request a room that is not street side. The pool is tiny but very beautiful,
in a patio next to the restaurant, however we were told we could use the one at the Maddison across the street, but honestly I didn't come to swim in a pool. The food was good, patacones, sausage, omelette or eggs made to order, cereal, yogurt, coffee, fresh juices and fruits. The room had AC and a ceiling fan (huge plus) The room has a mini bar and I didn't see a hair dryer or iron or board. Since I didn't need any if these things I didn't bother to ask if they were available . Restroom is tiny, but good water pressure.

First timers in Cartagena, Columbia

We stayed at Hotel Charlotte for 7 nights; the receptionist were very helpful; they helped us organize our trip to other areas of Columbia. The breakfast was much better than I expected since they had said continental and we received hot breakfast. The room was very clean; although, the bathroom could do with some renovation and our room was facing the street; it was a bit noisy until around midnight. The only thing I did not like, which has nothing to do with the hotel, were the hustlers on the streets. Every step you take, you are accosted by someone to buy something. Overall, our trip was good.

I wish my boyfriend and I had better things to say about our experience here, however if there's one word that describes it it would be \"mediocre\". We're realistic people who have traveled to 6 continents and over two dozen countries, and we've stayed in places ranging from hostels to 4 star hotels. For the price we paid and the expectations we had, it was a let down for the following reasons:

- no hot water in the evening. Because we went to the beach during the day and went out to restaurants and salsa dancing at night, we obviously wanted to shower off the salty ocean water before a night out on the town. There's nothing more irritating that taking a cold or lukewarm shower (even when it's very hot outside).

- I don't know what brand of laundry detergent they're using (or not using, for that matter), however the linens and towels had an awful stench that smelled of harsh chemicals and cleaning products. I have sensitive skin and patting my face dry caused me to get an irritation from the chemicals

- We stayed here 5 nights. The first night we asked the staff to please restock our mini fridge with more water bottles (it only came with two small water bottles yet a handful of soda, beer, and powerade. Totally unhealthy). They said sure no problem, we're out of water bottles now but will be sure to restock your fridge the next day. Days go by and they never restock our room with water bottles. Lazy, inconsiderate, and disorganized.

- The shower was really decrepit.

WON'T STAY THERE AGAIN

Very basic lodgings with little comfort: no elevator, no telephone in the room, no wifi (it doesn't work in the room, you have to go to the lobby), no bathrobes, small window with frosted glass, so NO view, very noisy (AC equipment from downstairs businesses right in front of our \"window\", and constantly running), and really no pool, it rather a large hot tub.

They lie about airport shuttle. Whe we arrived in Cartanega we called them from the airport to pick us up. They refused saying it's not offered and that we should take a taxi. As soon as I started saying we're Americans and that they lied saying they offered free airport shuttle, they had their shuttle pick us up. When we arrived and stayed our completed days, same thing happened and they refused to take us to the airport saying that they only offer free airport shuttle from the airport and not round trip (I thought they said they never did offer airport shuttle ) they lie through their teeth about free airport shuttle. We ended up taking a taxi to the airport.
