I asked 3 weeks before the trip for a late checkout and was told yes that I could leave at 2pm. I called again 2 days before my trip to ensure I would get the late checkout and was told no that it would not be possible. Rooms are very dated but clean and lighting is not great The only toiletries given were soap and shampoo. No lotion or conditioner was given. There was just 1 pack of coffee and sugar given for a 5 night stay and the supply was never replenished. Staff was courteous but the permanently closed restaurant is a deterrent. It is set on the perfect beach but they should update their amenities.
It’s a wonderful spot if you plan to be on the beach or out all day and don’t need too many comforts but definitely not a resort for being pampered.

The staff are beyond sweet (shoutout the Louise and Wellington). If you set your expectation for a 3 star clean hotel, you will be more than happy!

The room was extremely muggy and it was challenging to keep it at a comfortable cool. There wasn't any options to eat on the property. We were told to make reservations at the desk to eat at the Radisson but that wasn't the case

Perfect Location! We had a great time, easy to get around. Close to the grocery store, restaurants, and other stuff. It's not a fancy place, but it had a nice clean pool, beach chairs, pool towels, good hot shower, and lots of close restaurants. We'll be back for sure. Just keep it in mind no restaurant, bar, or massages on the property itself. It's all nearby though.

We’ve been to The Allamanda twice now, and it is a truly a Gem. The staff (and the Owner) treat you like family. It is in a great location to experience the real culture of Grenada. Close to a shopping mall, tons of restaurants and easy access to transportation. We highly recommend, and will be back!

We stayed in mid September for 6 nights and enjoyed the quieter low season. This property is a bit older but kept up well. We loved being right on the beach and it was nice there were several restaurants within 5 minutes walk. We rode the bus (a cultural experience in itself!) to the market and also took a tour of the island with Dexter, who was very pleasant and knowledgeable. There are several tours available and we highly recommend Dexter's Tours.

I was supposed to stay for a week, but I left in about 2 hours. The room was outdated. There were black panels on the windows and I couldn't see out of them. The walls were a sallow yellow color. The ceiling fan was dirty and something was biting me. People in the neighborhood said that you didn't renovate after the hurricane in 2004 and that's what it looked like. Would never stay there or recommend it to anyone.

The space is an old Caribbean styled hotel, nothing fancy, simple and honest. I’d stay there again should I go back to Grenada. Wish they add an on property food space - I think it would do well.

I however wish there was more seating areas to enjoy at night even during the day time... with no good and beverage operations, we felt restricted to our room.. but walking distance to local street food vendors, supermarkets and malls... being located on the beach was ideal.. definitely a place to stay and rest your head.. i would stay again

The location was amazing. Short walk to restaurants and public transportation. The beach is right there. That was a huge plus. The staff was friendly and helped us with any issues or requests we had. The only downside is there is no restaurant at the hotel so finding Breakfast was a bit of a challenge. Another issue was that there is no elevator and it was tiring to walk up to the 3rd story multiple times a day. The hotel itself seems to be a bit run down and dated. The ac wasn't working in our first room so they put us in another.

This is an amazing budget friendly option with direct access to the most beautiful beach. Same beach all the pricey resorts access, at a third of the cost! The pool was refreshing and clean, beach chairs available, walkable to dinner/restaurants/other resorts/grocery. Staff was top notch!! Incredibly helpful, and arranged for taxis and car rentals and all other requests. If you are wanting a quiet, no frills, cheap, friendly, and perfectly located spot, look no further.

This hotel gets its price only for being on Grande Anse beach which is ranked #32 in the world. The grounds and walkway out to the beach were nice. The loungers at the beach were nice even though we had to drag them out to the sand ourselves. The beach and pool towels were nice to have. The pool needed cleaning and skimming. It was full of bugs and fly/knats but the pool water seemed clean enough. The air worked great in my room but my son had to change rooms due to air not working. Every night it was a party scene at the hotel next door with loud music until after midnight. If not there, it was loud at the public park on the other side of the hotel and big parties there with the local radio station.I heard small children screeching until midnight. It's walking distance to the IGA grocery store. We found a nice bar/ open restaurant we liked to walk to called the Umbrella. HOUSEKEEPING KNOCKED ON THE DOOR EVERYDAY AT 9AM! I tried to explain it's too early but I don't think she understood. THERE IS NO PLACE TO EAT AT THIS RESORT. No breakfast, no snacks. While I very much enjoyed my oceanfront room view, I would not ask for that room ever . It was on the 3rd floor with NO elevator. I did not know that! I am 62 and it was tough. I amnot overly active but not sedentary either. Overall it was an okay place. No bugs in room. Great ice machine on the 2nd floor.My king bed was comfy but my son's double was not. I would only stay there again if it was half the price of what I paid.

The location is excellent. In our exploration of the area, there wasn't anywhere else that we would rather be. The hotel is a little bit older than some of the neighboring newer resorts, the on-site restaurant was closed, but it is located in the center of a fabulous beach. Local restaurants, bars, and grocery stores are all within a two block radius. The staff kept the grounds well groomed, the pool clean, and the rooms spotless.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Alamanda. We love it here! It is situated on the most beautiful beach in Grenada, Grand Anse. The grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly. RIght on the beach and it also has a lovely pool. Easy walking distance to multiple restaurants and the shopping mall for anything you need from groceries to souvenirs.

That was a very good choice. Hotel is right by the gorgeous beach, 10-15 minutes to drive from the airport. All kind of shopping stores, restaurants and bars are just in walking distance, scuba diving and snorkeling center next door. Very clean. You can get a safe public transportation to the city St George right there on the street or take a taxi, which is very affordable. People of Grenada generally and hotel’s staff particularly are extremely nice, friendly , welcoming and helpful. It was my first time on this Island and I was traveling alone. I felt safe and comfortable. Will definitely be back again, this time with my friends !

I had a health issue and needed to go to the ER at 2:30 am. No taxis running at that hour but the owner drove me in to get checked out and then waited to bring me back. Extra-ordinary customer service. The accommodations comfortable but basic, the site has easy access to the beach and the vibe chill.
