The pool view was very nice. La Heliconia is close to the airport, so the view of part of the runway is quite nice, plus the view of the Caribbean Sea was also visible, though far away. Vegetation around the hotel is quite nice as well.

Upon entering the room we were greeted with an awful awful smell in the bedroom/bathroom area. Was told the sewage was cleaned earlier in the day and being the hotel was booked no other available rooms to accommodate our party.
The lady who I assume was the manager apologized. Went back to the room and saw a few roaches. I then went back to the front desk and told the lady that they are roaches as well. I was then told we will be moved to another room poolside for the night due to arriving guess the next day. The lady assured us that the smell wil be gone and the room will be clean.
The next day we were told our room is cleaned and ready to move back in. When we got there the smell was gone. The next 3 days we kept seeing small and medium roaches different parts of the rooms to which we killed each time with the insecticide spray that we purchased on the second day.
We were located on the ground floor surrounded by trees. At nights, no lights or censor lights in that area for us to see properly especially when returning to our room. We had a bushy view at the side of the bedroom windows.
From my observations and returning hours later each day, it seems the room wasn’t cleaned properly. The beds were made up but the floors were not swept properly nor mopped.
Ordered breakfast and food arrived cold. I politely asked the waiter/chef ( who does both) if my food can be heated up?

I did not receive the superior room with an ocean view that I booked and paid for. When I arrived, they said there were no other rooms left. The room that I had was noisy (seemed next to the kitchen), lacked dish soap, and the soap and shampoo in the shower were not labeled so I did not know which is which. This was the worst hotel stay of my life. I was placed in a down stairs room with the cafeteria and reception above my head. Every morning I woke every morning, with either the staff or other guests dragging chairs across the cement floor which echoed in a room and woke me up way earlier than I needed to be. Breakfast is included not worth the money?One of the items is canned beans. The staff was marginal and somewhat helpful. Although not empowered by the owner to resolve most common problems. The knob on my shower control broke off in my hands. It took the hotel 4 days to fix the problem, which meant I did not shower for 4 days after repeated complaints. The facility itself is outdated and needs to be remodeled. My room was infested with cockroaches, the size of my thumb. After showing a video and complaining, I was told that the hotel would take care of it. By the time if ever, they addressed the cockroach and the shower issue, I had already checked out. The location is great adjacent to the airport and a lovely beach called magazine. The beds were comfortable if you could get past the cockroaches. Shower pressure in the bathrooms was sufficient.If you could get past the rust stains on the wall. Customer service at this facility is less than expected.Once you have checked out, the hotel makes no effort to assist you in any manner.Whether it's a taxi baggage storage, nothing. I do not recommend this hotel.

The only advantage is to be near the airport like 2 minutes drive. One small and weak Air conditioner is in bedroom and other areas are very humid and hot including the outdated restroom. Be prepared!! they may shot down water for tankers repairing with no advanced notice. Late check out will cost you US$ 40!

Hundreds of bugs (small white ants) on bed. After finding a dingy sheet, we ended up sleeping on the couch.
In addition to the bugs which grossed us out, the linens were dingy, stained and worn.
The next morning, we complained and no one did anything. No apologoes, no recognition that the room. Even low budget motels have better standards than this.
I do not recommend. Find another place a few more min away from airport.

The property is reminiscent of a run down motel. However even motels have standards. The towels were dingy, the room smelled of moth balls and the toilet seat was broken. There was dog poop in the walk areas. I really wanted to like this property because it’s woman owned but it’s definitely in need of additional resources to make it habitable.

Saw huge roaches in my room, asked for a hair blower and never got it. Toilet bowl never flushed properly, had my room smelling foul because the stuff wasn’t flushing down properly, took many flushes and still didn’t go down. Limited kitchen supplies for me to use to do my own cooking. Very noisey due to the transportations on the road, but very convenient because it located close to the airport.

The hotel in general could do with a spruce up it looking quite tatty in placed.
For example on our balcony was a spare window plus a further window section and a chair cushion ripped to bits, by the pool the seat cushions were rather grubby.
Give the hotel some maintenance and it could be pretty good.

Airport View Hotel!
This was a one night stay prior to me, checking into the hotel next-door, which was all inclusive. This hotel has a lovely view from the pool however, my room did not have a view as stated in the advertisement. It didn’t really matter, however, because I only spent one day there, I would’ve been disappointed had I’ve been depending on that view. The hotel staff was very accommodating and the hotel is literally walking distance from the airport if you don’t have a bunch of bags otherwise you’re going to get tricked into paying $20 to drive less than a mile . Apparently this is the standard charge to go to the hotels that are right next to the airport. They should get a shuttle to make it more convenient for their hotel. Guests room was large and clean and they had a variety of different types of rooms for people. Breakfast was amazing , overall I would say it was a great day.

Perfect spot for those not wanting the larger resorts. Pool was fabulous! Rooms were spacious and workers were very kind. Very close to airport and can not hear any airport noise. Gives you an authentic Grenadian vibe. Will definitely come back.

Loved how close it was to the airport. It’s walking distance which was great for my me, since I only had a carry on. I landed close to midnight and had a 8 am flight to Carriacou. I was able to get a good nights rest so I could continue my journey.

It was isolated. The room was substandard compared to the advertisement. I checked out 10 mins after checkin to find a safer space. I’d like a refund of the 2-3 nights because I didn’t stay. There were unleashed dogs on the property that were a little too aggressive when I walked back to the open air checkout counter. There were cars parked outside the bedroom window and a narrow walkway outside of the bathroom window with junk throw there. Safety was my main concern and it was not safe.
