We didn’t up staying here as once we had booked we received a email from them stating that we had to call them asap with our booking details and our credit card information or we wouldn’t have a booking, called them and stated that we didn’t have a credit card and they told us we would have to come down asap which we couldn’t in order to pay a deposit as our booking wouldn’t be finalised until then. Got in contact with Expedia support who kindly called up on our behalf and got us a refund which I appreciate but besides that I think it’s poor service, not everyone has a credit card and not everyone can get down there asap to confirm their booking, this is how you lose customers.

Breakfast tasted lovely and the whole stay was great value for money. I’d only suggest maybe getting a high chair for the dining room.

Unexpectedly lovely! I stayed two nights in a single upstairs room with a balcony, and it was peaceful, spotless, and full of charm. The bed was super comfortable, and I loved the character of the place—it has a unique warmth and attention to detail you don’t often find. I had breakfast both mornings and thoroughly enjoyed it—fresh and well-prepared. I also spent an evening at their wine bar — intimate atmosphere and a perfect way to wind down. The service from the owners was outstanding—genuinely warm and welcoming.

It’s glory days are long gone. An ok stay but we wouldn’t stay there again. The room, hotel and its grounds look a little shabby and worn. No face washers were provided, nor shower cap (essential since the shower head was up very high and couldn’t be angled) some of the shampoos etc has already been used. Though I think this is due to poor communication from housekeeping staff than the hosts.

This hotel was a great find and perfect for our adventure into the Yarra Valley. Loved the decor and how well the hotel has been looked after and maintained. You can see it's the owners' pride and joy and it certainly shows in the lovely gardens and room setups. They have thought of everything.

Some beautiful features in this motel. However the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Mattress definitely needs renewing. There was a toaster but no plates or utensils to use. The shower was ridiculously tiny, for midgets which we are not. The door into shower was a mission. In saying that, which is pertinent to a comfortable stay, the place was clean spacious. The restaurant wasn't open and that was the reason we booked it because there is very little else around walking distance. The heating was good. Off street parking. Breakfast adequate. Wifi couldn't get it but then I wasn't charged either.

Rob and Renee were fantastic hosts, and the suite we were upgraded to was awesome. our initial room was fantastic - we would have been very happy there also but the hot water system failed so we were immediately offered the suite. comfortable, warm, with a balcony and 4 poster bed. everything you could want. Cooked breakfast in the on site restaurant was great. cannot recommend this character-filled place highly enough.

Was a fantastic place to stay while going ballooning in Yarra Valley. The owners were so fun and friendly, couldn't do enough for us. We loved the rooms with their Victorian feel and having dinner at their little restaurant was a really lovely way to spend an evening. Left feeling we had found a real little gem of a place which we will come back to!

VERY COSY HOTEL WHICH FELT LIKE HOME
Having booked Puffing Billy for my two grandchildren we decided to give them a treat and stay overnight at the Victoria House Motor Inn. On arrival we found it to be very charming and our grandchildren thought it was the bees knees being able to sleep in the same room as us. We had breakfast next morning and was extremely happy with both the food and the service.

Loved it. We were concerned about highway noise - slept brilliantly. We had to get to a party - problem solved with earlier access pre-arranged and cab sorted. They are also good a restaurant recommendations. We would be happy to stay again - comfy room, nice people and off street parking.
