The room was so much smaller than the pictures and not as nice. The fold out sofa is a single bed so don’t be fooled by the pic. Couldn’t access Netflix.
Aircon was great over the heat wave.

This service apartment is highly recommendable for travellers. It has lots of car parking space, the reception was genuinely hospitable and helpful, our room was cleaned everyday (we stayed 8 nights there), any used consumables were refilled the following day, the bed was soft and comfortable, needed utensils were complete. We will definitely book again when we come to Melbourne for another short stay.

Our stay at Doncaster Apartments was very pleasant indeed. We were greeted warmly by reception, who explained everything and being older, set my mob phone up for free wifi. Very happy. The room was clean and very tidy. Just what we wanted. On a very warm sunny day, the seat outside our room was used with shade under the tree. We dined at the Bistro which is part of Doncaster Apartments. Again very satisifed with our Grilled Baramundi and salad and chips. Overall a great stay.

Liked the accommodation. Didn’t like that the reception was meant to be open until 9pm we arrived at 8:50pm after a long drive and reception was closed. Then had to go into the gaming part of the hotel to get checked in which took a little time because they were busy. The staff were nice and friendly though.

Doncaster Apartments met our needs for our stay in Melbourne to watch our son play cricket. Well located for the cricket venue in Bulleen but also only a 5 minute drive to the huge Doncaster Westfield shopping centre - this was easy access to supermarkets for supplies and to dining options at the restaurants above Westfield. We also dined at the Doncaster Hotel which was at the front of the apartments. It’s worth noting how quiet the apartment was, despite its proximity to the hotel. At night we were not disturbed by any noise. The apartment was small but it was fine for our needs. Parking was easy (and plentiful), there was level access from parking to the apartment, the kitchenette was surprisingly well supplied with utensils, crockery etc and, importantly, the apartment was clean. All the reception staff we dealt with over the week were lovely.

Great location and a very comfortable apartment. Reception and cleaning staff friendly and provided excellent service. Parking onsite. Beautiful outdoor area and shared laundry facilities provided at no charge and With excellent Jo-to-date appliances. Only disappointment was sluggish water output in shower and sink. Plumbing needs up dating. Other than that we would stay again.

Upgraded rooms and reception area have improved this property - excellent coffee machine for guests much appreciated. An added bonus were the free laundry facilities which I wasn’t aware of. Room was spotless and very well appointed. Only drawback was a lack of lift for ease of access to upper floor but a very friendly staff member assisted with my case. Would definitely return.

Great hotel in the 'burbs

This is an unusually-placed hotel (behind a pub and a car dealership), but it is convenient to shopping, restaurants and allows for easy access to the rest of Melbourne. It is very clean, and nicely decorated. Not high-end, but totally adequate. We did not stay in our room much, as we spent most of our time visiting family and friends. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers and stayed in two rooms which were linked and we all had plenty of space and plenty of hot water. The kitchenette is adequate with microwave, hot plate, small fridge and sink. All utensils, plates and cutlery were provided, along with dishwashing supplies. Parking is free and in a secluded lot that is used during the day by the car dealership staff in front of the hotel, but it is quiet and safe. We only used housekeeping occasionally, but would have liked to have had a couple of extra towels and trash bags available in the room without having to ask for them. I will say that the pillows in this hotel were the best pillows I have ever used, and I would have bought one if I could! 😃

Rooms are much smaller than pictures suggest.
Air Con in bedroom was not good if 2nd occupant wanted to watch TV in other room while other occupant wanted to go to bed etc.

The staff were great, very helpful! My room was very clean. I didn’t have a DVD player as described in the ammenities but the staff went above and beyond to find me one. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was a table and chairs outside my room for smoking and the smell would come in my room. Also it was a bit loud when people were having conversations while smoking.

On second day of stay, hotel hot water service broke down, and they didn’t get service on time as it’s year end. Had to wait till Jan 3 to get it fixed . Bad experience for my family, and they refused to refund me when I wanted to check out and change a hotel when hot water service was out, that’s unacceptable .

Very clean and comfortable , though the grounds could do with a tidy up and someone had the washing machine going way after the allowed time of 9pm and it was like a truck roaring through our room. Also the cleaning staff congregated outside our room early in the morning and talked at the top of their voices. They should have more consideration for guests that want to sleep.

We stayed for two nights as we were attending a wedding in nearby Eltham. The room was clean and sleep quality was good. Plenty of close parking. The sole staff member on check out desk seemed stressed and flustered, but there was a large conference group having breakfast at same time. The walls were thin - we could hear the people next door chatting to each other.

Despite being clean & comfortable, and away from road traffic, I found the noise from adjoining rooms too loud. Could hear the people next door talking (my room was one that had a door into an adjoining room & despite being locked, I could see the light under the door & that seemed to be the source of the noise). Also, on the other side I could hear the occupants using the shower & hair dryer (at 2am!).
I was upgraded to a King sized bed which was a nice surprise but unfortunately sleep was something that alluded me until after 3am!
