Tiny room was looked over by adjoining building so curtains always closed. No coffee table so food or drink had to be consumed whilst sitting on the bed. No writing paper or pen. No soap holder on vaniity so grabbed a plate from the kitchen to hold soap. Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

The Overall experience was excellent. The Reception staff (Particularly Jacinta and Bianca) were lovely and super helpful when needing to accomodate my adult daughter into our room, whilst my husband was in hospital. They helped with organizing taxis and a late permit for parking as well. Whilst it was obvious you were having a change over of furniture during our stay, this did not inconvenience us. The only criticism I have is in relation to the car park. The signage displayed in the lane does not clearly indicate a right turn into the Quest carpark. We continued down the lane into the gated area of another business. The gate closed behind us, as darkness set in, and we were unable to exit. Had to call Quest Reception to see if they could contact the business and enable us to exit. Thankfully, after some time trapped behind the gate, a car from their carpark proceeded to exit and we then followed them, whilst the gate was open. More distinct signage, that is easily seen in the evening, would have avoided this scenario.

Stayed in a recently remodeled apartment where the kitchen and bathroom had been remodeled. However the furniture was still the same prior to the refurbishment and just looks tired. I was very disappointed as this apartment was advertised as a superior 1 bed apartment and one nights accommodation wasn’t cheap. Also I received an invoice after my departure for parking and at no time was I advised that there would be a charge.
I’ve stayed previously at the Quest Ivanhoe and never been charged parking.
This visit for me was disappointing.

This property cancelled our reservation booked months in advance for F1 Grand Prix weekend in Melbourne at the last minute leaving us scrambling as most hotels were booked. We had to book an alternate hotel at considerably more. Their specious reason was that there were renovations going on. If that was the case they could have told us when we booked this might be the case but they did not. Could this have been a money grab on their part??? I will never stay at a Quest property

Was not told about renovations until arrival, no veiw due to scaffolding, dust from renovations and paint smell made it difficult to breath and sleep. I have breathing issue's due to medical condition. Builders where talking loudly outside our window at 7am. Builders took over hallways and elivator. Was not happy.

The initial problem was that we were allocated a Studio apartment after booking a one-bedroom superior apartment. This was sorted after the first night and we were very happy to move into a nice one-bedroom apartment. A late-night, loud girls' get-together in a nearby apartment was disappointing but obviously difficult for management to control. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Crawling insects in bedroom and bed. Spent night trying to sleep on couch, unsuccessfully. Was told by management that it was due to trees near building that council would not allow to be removed. I was told I was ineligible for any refunds etc as I’d booked through last minute. Management did apologise though. Not very impressed.

I had purchased the room for my brother and his partner as a Cmas gift. They arrived from the country to have a shower et al before joining us for dinner. They were handed a room key and on attending the room found it had not been cleaned and no other room was available. They had to leave and only accessed their room on return from dinner at midnight. No conpensation has been offered. Not acceptable!

Quest is a rather anonymous establishment --- a basic white box. But it is clean, comfortable and a good rate. My own top priority is that all this also comes with a location which is perfect for me (I have family living a few blocks away)

Being from Bendigo, we required accommodation to stay close to the Austin Hospital last Saturday night, as our 39 yr old son had had a stroke on the Saturday morning. Found a great cafe/restaurant to have dinner with our eldest son, who was there to support us in such a trying time.

Didnt like that the toilet was hardly useable as it was hard up against the washing machine.

i expected when I booked to get an en-suite, maybe that was my mistake, but not happy.

You have to sit on the toilet at right angles to its position, and its just not workable.
Does not comply with building regulations.
Trust me iam a building surveyor.
Will not recommend 207 a other rooms may be better

Admittedly it was a hot evening but we have travelled the world and never had to have the air con on the lowest setting ALL night. For the price of the room it was very small. Really felt like we were staying in a hospital room - particularly the ceiling hung TV. It was cleanish, there was a bed...but that's about it.

A spacious and comfortable hotel in suburban Melbourne. We had a 1br suite and loved the extra space. It was only a few paces to interesting shops, restaurants and less than 5 mins walk to the train station. The hotel staff couldn’t have more welcoming and helpful. All in all, a great couple of days.

Great hotel, generous room size and good in-room facilities.
However, the free internet was limited to 150MB which is ridiculous in 2017, especially since many less expensive hotels offer faster and unlimited internet.

this was as basic a room as we have stayed for many a year, the bathroom was mouldy and unappealing, whilst the facilities looked as though they had not been touched for at least a week. The tea bags and sugar had previously been moistened and had crusted over or were stained. I think the price was quite high for the size of its room. All in all disappointing and icky.

Overnight stay very pleasant. Many restaurants nearby to choose and supermarket and banks nearby. Staff very friendly and had great local knowledge. As we were visiting friend in hospital allowed us to retain car in carpark after checkout which was a huge bonus. Would strongly recommend this accommodation.

Tidy and fairly new, bit squashy with strange layout. View of brick wall, window opens but next to railway line. Otherwise fairly quiet and clean. Free bottle of water was nice touch. Next door to supermarket.

Great location on Ivanhoe's lovely shopping strip. Car park was spacious and secure. Just a couple of minor issues-people in the room next door had their TV blasting until after 11pm then turned back on again at 5:45am. Must've been permanent residents. A couple of sachets of coffee in the room would also be nice.
