The staff were very pleasant and helpful with local amenities. The room was spacious the bed and bedding, towels clean and good condition unfortunately the carpet was very very dirty. The bathroom basin wasn’t draining as it should and the shower recess could have been cleaner. We could only get a few channels on tv. The parking across from rooms was a swamp land after rain and was an unsealed surface. These issues should not reflect on the working staff perhaps the owners. It’s a good location but traffic very heavy

I didn’t even stay - pulled up out the front, rif raf hanging around outside each room, unregistered car in driveway, online pictures were not what it looked like today. Did not feel safe- continued to drive and booked a nearby quest for the exact same price. Was refunded luckily thank fully. I wasn’t staying there as a single mum with my son.

This property was dirty, noisy and I felt unsafe. Despite the room being a non smoking room, it smelt of smoke.
The bathroom, shower and sky light in particular were covered in black mould. I was so disgusted that I showered in my socks. The room appeared otherwise clean but was in desperate need of love - walls dinted, holes were mended with dodgy platering and paint, general scuffing.

Slept with the light on beacuse I was unsure if the door was actually locked or not.

It was NOT worth the $150 for the night.

Good location close to where we needed to go however very noisy. People yelling outside our room at night which made me feel unsafe. Walls inside our room very dirty. Shower room had strong smell of cigarettes. Not sure if the cheap price was worth the stay here. It was difficult to relax in. The staff checked us in efficiently and wifi use was handy. Clean sheets on bed and enough appliances for us to cook tea.

Felt very unsafe here. Stupidly, I did not look at reviews - just saw this had the amount of beds I needed at a decent price and booked it. When we checked in I wanted to leave, but didn’t want to lose our money. First thing we did was check the bed sheets were clean (they were) but that was the only thing that was ok.
The outside was horrible, dirty with rubbish lying around. People outside arguing. When we arrived back late at night there was a few ‘dodgy’ people outside. We were very glad to be a group of 4. Inside, the place had writing on walls, very uncomfortable beds and a bathroom that dates back many, many decades. (None of us used the bathroom for fear of the grime in there) There was a fridge in the middle of the room, that mostly blocked the doorway to the bedroom. The best thing this hotel could do would be to knock down the building and either start again, or walk away from the industry.

We were very pleased when opening the door, the room presented was very fresh and clean. Pleasant fragrance was the greeting.

Bed excellent, comfortable, bathroom very clean.

We stayed in 3br house. It is separated from the motel building. The whole property is cctv monitored. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff are very accomodating. Stayed for 5days and we only stayed at night to sleep in. This is very good if your visiting to Melbourne and out for whole day.

The motel is convenient to Latrobe Uni and on a tram line. The condition, amenities and cleanliness of the rooms has improved since a previous stay and work is obviously continuing. Accessing hot water in the shower was problematic taking considerable time to come through if at all and there is no soundproofing between rooms resulting in rude awakening when neighboring guests were arguing and physically fighting in the early hours on both occasions I have stayed here. You can’t complain about the price as it is obviously budget level accommodation.

The owners first charged us for a room and the heating didn't work, the power points were loose, they tried charging us extra. Was just a horrible experience. $1000+ on a hotel while I'm waiting to be approved for a house, for the week. With no hot hot water, the room was freezing as there was a draft under the door.

Like or unique!! what can I say but zero.
Door was just slapped on and didnot fit proper allowing light to enter, curtains were just plaped up and and screwed to hold.no door on the vanity entrance and one could hear a pin drop 20 feet away.
The good! well the bed was fine, showering & hot water was fine, fridge was acceptable as was the Mwave, towels renewed daily on request but no sheet change in time of stay, tea coffee etc replenished and TV was ok along with the WiFi. Then again what else would one want for $100 a night twin share.

The shower recess was so dirty , we went without, which was a bit uncomfortable. There was no remote for the TV, I had to call reception to get one. There were patchess of paint to cover marks on walls and furniture, but it was a different colour and the carpet had stains and things stuck in it. We couldn't wait to leave.

Hi - this is the 3rd time we have stayed at this place - but this will be the last Im afraid its full of the homeless people and drug people - the noise that went on was unreal in the early hours of the morning - banging of the doors - loud voices - loud cars coming
and going we were very scared staying there will never go back - 3 times I complained
they moved us around the back after that - it also needs a bloody good clean when you pay $1300.odd dollars you expect more than this.
If the hotel inspector came through god help them all.

Conveniently located hotel on Plenty Road

The place needs a good facelift, or else the prices need to drop. You can't (shouldn't) charge high prices for places that have chipped melamine benches, mouldy shower bays, shower taps that were difficult to operate (and didn't mix the water properly), and no proper ventilation. I could have gotten another place with good accommodation (I've been there in the past and know it's good) for the same price - but they didn't have separate beds, as we needed.

The rooms were kept clean, which was good. The beds were comfortable.

The position on Plenty Road is good, since Plenty Road seems to be an arterial road.

it stated each room had a full kitchen, only had a microwave,kettle and fridge, the fridge was wonky as it was missing one levelling leg, there were no knifes or forks which made it a bit hard having toast in the morning. The shelve in the shower was missing to put your soap, just a missing tile were it used to be . The only good thing was it being close to uni were my daughter attends.

All I really needed out of this place was somewhere to rest my head at the end of the day but I still expect to feel safe and clean when doing so. The bed bases had stains the carpet and curtains also had stain. The shower was full of mould and we had to call the police at 4am for a noise complaint against other guests. I would never stay here again, nor recommend any of my friends or family.

Good motel and very convenience to take tram 86 to city. Nearby consist McD, woolworths, and restaurant. Motel staff was so helpful, friendly, and provided good service. Staff also wait for me to check in at 12am. Breakfast also delicious and big portion. The motel price was reasonable. Suitable for travelers and family background as well. I strongly recommend will come back and stay in this motel again.

On our first day to check in, we were made to wait for five hours. The room given to us appeared to have been abandoned for some years. They have to organise a cosmetic repainting on that day. Room was smelling like an abandoned and dirty place. The second day was worse because when we returned to the hotel at 12:30am, the front door was locked and nobody was in attendance. We rang all the phone numbers but no answer. All nearby hotels were fully booked, so I slept in the car with my wife until around 7:15am
Please nobody should go there, it’s horrible and the staff are worse. You need to take this crap off the list of advertised hotels. This ripoff

I think we paid too much for what we received. There seemed some doubt initially that our booking existed. There had been some attempt to freshen up our room, but carpet tiles etc were spattered with dried paint. The shower while superficially clean had very dirty grout.Paking is good and a bonus is the adjacent Bundoora Park.

The worst

The Parkside Inn was a very rundown motel, out in the Bronx, as my partner kept saying.
It's a motel in a very dirty and rough part of Melbourne, with which I will never return to again. Customer Service started with no one attending the desk, so I had to ring the number to get someone to serve me and get my key.
We went to our room and everywhere we looked was bad. The front door didn't lock properly, the bathroom door didn't shut either.There was no tea towel to do dishes, no hand towel or face washer, only 1 towel each and a bath mat.
There was only one thin rug on the bed and the first night I froze. The electric blanket that was on the bed only worked on one side and we had trouble plugging it in as well. Due to all this I now have the flu and I'm off work for at least a couple of days.The bed is on wheels with no brakes so we had to be careful how we sat on it.
The walls had scribble from a child on it and then part of the wall had been painted over what looked like graffiti, but was only given one coat which wasn't enough .The floor coverings were below average along with everything else.
When we went to leave our Uber taxi was late so I went in to book another Taxi, I got the number off them and I couldn't ring for some reason, so they booked for me on line. Them ringing would have been a much faster process I think.Anyway we got to the airport just on time to line up for our flight.I'm very disappointed with the fact that I put my trust in your company to book s

Not worth the money

While I'm sure there is worse accommodation out there, I was very disappointed with the state of the room for the money we paid.

* there was writing on the doors and graffiti in the cupboard
* there was a missing drawer in the bedside table
* drip stains down the walls
* there were too many beds in the room (1 double and 2 twin beds) meaning that one was squished up against the dirty looking curtains - thank goodness we didn't need this bed
* the microwave was next to the bathroom sink, although there was plenty of room on the bench in the main room
* the ironing board had no cover
* no batteries in the heating unit remote, requiring us to climb up on the arms of the chair to be able to reach the unit positioned above the door
* no central light in the room - a bare bulb near the door and a fluorescent above the mirror
* there was a wobbly, round, glass, outdoor table used as a bedside table which overhung the single bed - both dangerous and inappropriate

The only redeeming feature is that the beds looked decent and clean. The bathroom facilities, while not great, were tolerable.

Had our prepayment been refundable, we would not have stayed.

the worst place I have ever stayed at

toilet and water tapes leaked and would not switch off, when light was turned on it smelt burnt then stopped working, wifi would not connect hotel staff tried as well.walls and sealing needs repair. room had been smoked in and smelt not nice at all.fridge freezer had not been defrosted for a vary long time..SHOULD GET at least a part refund.
