I looked for a cheap motel in a decent location but it could have been cheaper. The room was awful. Burn hole in the duvet, old, worn out, quite dirty bathroom. Unfriendly staff. Blue paint on the ceiling, a domestic incident on stairwell in middle of night. Didn’t feel safe.
No cleaning during the stay- shouldn’t it be an expectation that towels are changed and basic cleaning done daily? Maybe not for the price.

The property is conveniently located just off Hoddle St. I was provided early check in which was great. The bed was comfort and made well. Good stuff stops there for this 3 Star accomodation.
The room had a terrible smell which made me ill. The bathroom was in poor condition and the shower appeared particularly dirty.

Despite this property showing its age, and it would appear in the process of upgrading it was clean and tidy. If you are just after a room for a couple nights fits the bill. The hotel on the corner great for a quick meal and mcds just around corner good for quick coffee

Reception was friendly and offered to store my luggage as I had arrived early. The room was clean and all facilities worked. I had an excellent night's rest. This hotel represents fantastic value for money and I would certainly stay there again. Just one minor suggestion: Perhaps put a couple of long-life milk tubs in the refrigerator for making tea?

Location and parking is great. The spa room doesnt have a spa just a typical household bath. There is no breakfast as stated in the add. The bed was uncomfortable and needs replacing as do the pillows. Minimal bedding and towels provided along with very minimal bathroom products. Including the handsoap that was nearly empty. The only issue was that there was no milk provided for the coffee/tea. So i recommend this place, also owing to the handy location, but caution you to bring your own milk.

It was surprisingly quiet inside the room being not very far from the very busy Hoddle street. The shower was a good steady temperature and good pressure. The bed was firm but not to the point of being uncomfortable. The curtains did a good job of keeping out the early morning sunlight. Free & secure onsite parking a real bonus.
The stairs were an issue for a 62 year old with 2 dodgy knees and a heavy suitcase. Similar issue getting into the spa bath to take a shower. Extra pillows would be good as would some long life milk in the fridge to make a coffee, everything else was there.

I chose here because it was cheap, had free parking, was next to public transport, and in walking distance to great nightlife. I’m used to staying in cheap hotels and I’m not too fussy on how the room looks - however you can hear EVERYTHING that happens in the hallway. Felt very unsafe around 1pm where we heard a physical fight take place and the police arrive to issue a report. We had to turn off the lights in our room and stay perfectly silent to insure our safety… Hearing someone’s head get smashed in rules out a good night’s sleep for sure. Reading other google reviews after the stay mentioned the violence inside the building on multiple other occasions too. Perhaps more thorough security measures need to be taken into account at check in.

The foyer, which all the lower level rooms lead off, is pleasantly furnished with plants and a water feature, a giant skylight covers all.
The room was clean and tidy, the linen unstained and freshly laundered with a modern quilt cover.
The bathroom was also clean and neat. There was a toaster, kettle and microwave oven available, also an iron and ironing board.
Unfortunately, the building has a steep set of stairs from the road level to the first floor, which could be a problem if walking is difficult.
The pub next door was very noisy with what sounded like live music, but it ceased at 10pm and the area was very quiet after that.
Over all, I would recommend the hotel for an overnight stay - we were in from the sticks and had a plane to catch in the morning, and needed 2 beds.
Inexpensive and handy but due to my decreasing mobility I will not stay there again.
The foyer, which all the lower level rooms lead off, is pleasantly furnished with plants and a water feature, a giant skylight covers all.
The room was clean and tidy, the linen unstained and freshly laundered with a modern quilt cover.
The bathroom was also clean and neat. There was a toaster, kettle and microwave oven available, also an iron and ironing board.
Unfortunately, the building has a steep set of stairs from the road level to the first floor, which could be a problem if walking is difficult.
