Nice newish hotel in a great area for pubs, restaurants etc. A little bit quirky in so much as the room decor & bed layout. If your infirm climbing up onto the bed will not be for you. Staff absolutely brilliant!

Cosy room, the layout with the bed was a little snug but the room was nice and quiet, clean and modern. The shower did spill out into the rest of the bathroom making the floor and bathmat very wet. A bar fridge and kettle would be nice in the room, but for a quick overnight stay the room was sufficient and very well priced.

However, the hotel was not very quiet. Rooms - yes I asked to change to another one but that wasn't much better - let all the noise from the streets in and water pipes were noisy as well. I guess for sound sleepers and people staying up late this is not an issue.

The room was quite small but the bed was really comfortable and the space was clean. I really enjoyed the on site laundry, it's super convenient and quick, no need for detergent, cash, etc, just put your clothes in and scan. The location is a 10min walk to Fitzroy Gardens and it's an amazing park. Groceries and cafes are also within a 10 minute walking radius. Bars and clubs are two streets down but the area is super quiet, you won't hear the noise. Overall, it's cute for solo travellers who want to explore Melbourne.

Didn’t love the bed right up against the window on an elevated platform was kind of clumsy to get in and out of it. Without Blockout blinds there was a fair bit of light getting into the room, to alter the blinds You need to walk over the bed. No top sheet provided and the mattress was not terribly comfortable he was kind of soft around the edges.
The shared amenity concept is not a bad idea. I thought the room seemed particularly sparse. Perhaps I’m not collingwood cool enough to appreciate the room design but it felt like it was fairly pricey for what I would consider a super basic room. The bed was meant to be a queen bed. I would swear it was a double but I didn’t measure it.
The room key provided a QR code where you could go keyless. It requires you to download an app and it was not immediately obvious or a parent how to actually link that to your room key so I didn’t follow through. That process has been seamless in many other hotels for me.

The only 2 things that bothered me a little was the large ledge beside the bed made it a little more challenging to get in and out of bed and there was no PowerPoint in the bathroom (but it would be understandable if it was a safety concern with shower steam) But overall we loved it and have booked again to come back.

When my partner arrived late Friday with our dog, she was refused check-in. Despite my requests for an exception or a reasonable solution, staff repeatedly refused and offered no viable options. I even offered to pay a cleaning fee, but the only suggestion was a far more expensive alternative at another property.
This left me with no choice but to give the room to my partner while I had to make a makeshift bed and sleep in my office with my dog. The lack of transparency, refusal to accommodate, and overall treatment were unacceptable.

As a client with a disability it was good to be assigned a room with appropriate facilities. However, I found the room door very heavy to open and the doors to the shared kitchen almost impossible. Opening one door against the closer was actually above my weight limit and my walker didn’t fit through the opening. Opening both doors (they were very narrow so no distance to hinges was out of my league.

The location is great but it really is an upmarket hostel. The rooms are very small, the bed is badly positioned for two people to get out of comfortably and the bathroom is tiny - and water pretty much goes everywhere, without a shower screen. Stunning hotel with fully equipped kitchen
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Not because it's fancy or anything. It's clean, roomy and tastefully decorated. It has a huge fully equipped kitchen on the main floor that you can whip up anything you want which was perfect for me after spending 8 days of eating out for every single meal. The stuff are super friendly, literally every stuff was extremely helpful and willing to chat with you. Feels like you going to your mates place instead of an regular hotel. The location is also amazing especially if you are queer as it's located right next to all the queer bars
