Was a great location. Easy check-in and friendly staff.
But you can hear EVERYTHING from neighbours all around. There was a mother and daughter fighting for over 30 minutes. A baby screaming throughout the night. Parking was great the first night but upon return the second night, it was quite full so had to squish in the corner. Lots of rubbish out in the carpark area.

I couldn’t stay overnight and I have left to find another hotel. Cleaning zero, very very old rutted furniture, broken bathroom sink, very bad smell, bedsheets wasn’t clean, I had a rash from black bugs that was everywhere.

When we first checked in we were taken to a room that was quite derelict. No covers on bases, cracked toilets, very tired. In their defence the manager did then move us to a new room however I have a daughter who is quite stressed about cleanliness and upon reading other reviews ascertained there had been bedbugs etc so we ended up dropping off keys and coming home.
I am very aware that it is very much a budget price, however cleanliness doesn't always cost a lot.

Turned up to check in to find out we weren’t staying at the address booked. Had to drive around the corner to the apartment.

The rooms looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for months. Shower was filthy with soap scum and every where, toilet was dirty, every door had dirty fingerprints all over them. The fridge door handle was disgustingly dirty. End of bed had all hair where they had the rubber. Sheets were clean but beds weren’t comfortable.

Thankfully we got this at a very cheap price after searching different websites. I’m glad we didn’t pay what some sites were asking! Would I stay here again? NO

The room was not clean, there was mould in the shower.
It was advertised with aircon.
There was no aircon in the main area and the only air-conditioning was in 1 bedroom which didnt work and only curculated hot air. It was over 40 degrees that weekend and made for a very uncomfortable stay.
The fridge worked sparodically and continuously stopped.
The bedding on the single beds was still wrapped in plastic which was also uncomfortable and annoying.
When issues were reported to reception we were given a pretty much not my problem attitude.

Pros: 30 min walk to Melbourne park. Free parking.
Cons: outdated, dirty, super dirty.

the only AC unit is the apartment was leaking water all over the place. I did notify the front desk but no one was sent to address the issue. The apartment definitely needs to be deeply cleaned and repainted. The furniture need to be replaced(stains wear apparent). I should say that as far as the towels and bed sheets are concerned they seem to be clean.

Check in easy, staff friendly. Family on budget including parking - how can you go wrong. Location meant able to walk to free tram to get to sporting event, theatre, restaurants and shopping. Wasn't enough crockery or cutlery for room occupants, but staff fixed once informed. have booked again for future stays in Melbourne.

Do not stay at the Treasury site, not as depicted in photo advertisements. They advertise it to be so much nicer than it actually is. Believe the bad reviews! Although a central location, it was not clean. Dust, hair in bathroom, mould in shower, stunk of disinfectant on arrival, no where to put clothes in bathroom ready for after a shower, did not even have a toilet seat lid. The bathroom sink was painted and bubbling and peeling with paint. The shower wasn’t good. It wasn’t an enjoyable stay for us. Management in reception didn’t care about the state of the room when issues were raised. Gross. Don’t go there!

The room felt very old, it was dirty/ mouldy in a number of places including bathroom and kitchen. The beds were very well used and were not comfortable.
The last night we stayed there was domestic violence in the apartment next to ours which caused a number of disturbances and had the police attending on 2 occasions.

Room smelt musty, foyer smelt like curry, pillows had no pillow protectors, and there were stains on them, wall paper falling off, no hot water in kitchen, filthy cups and cutlery, a marshmallow sitting under the couch, dirty inside drawers, wall in toilet had brown drips, curtains were caked in dust, bathroom had soap scum resin everywhere, honestly wanted to drive home. Checked in to find that television was not receiving any signals whatsoever.
Reported this to reception who advised they would reset the system and call back.
Nothing happened for one hour, so called back reception to learn that they had reset equipment but had not bothered to call back as promised.
Nevertheless, still no TV and as it was a weekend nothing could be done.
We asked two different receptionists if a manager could call us to discuss which we were promised would happen.
Seven days later, nothing whatsoever from this establishment.
Units were shabby, and other facilities were also broken or out of service such as the exhaust fan in bathroom and the guest laundry.
If there was an opportunity to award negative stars, this motel would be receiving them.
I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

For the price of one night in Melbourne, we were very pleased as the apartment had everything you need: kitchen, private bathroom, good wifi and even a dishwasher. So even the room was very dated (cracks on the wall), we still felt ok. Only one thing that turned us down was the cleanliness of the room. We saw a pair of shorts under the bed, and the kitchen bench had some stain marks. Hope the management improve the quality of this place.

Unfortunately many things didn’t go well. We arrived and squeezed in to a park that I could barely get out of the car and was told we’d been upgraded. We had to drive a block away to the upgraded room. Inside was filthy walls, filthy blinds, filthy heater, no air conditioner (room I booked did), one roll of toilet paper, bathroom drawer filled with hair- the worst condition I’d ever seen a room. It was like we were being pranked as they couldn’t possibly call that an upgrade! I called reception and she said to come back and she’ll give the room I booked. Walked back down 2 flights of stairs with a sore leg (wasn’t told there’s no lift), packed car back up and drove back. I tried to inform reception of the condition but she appeared disinterested and just wanted to give the booked room without hearing what was actually wrong with the other room. I thought they may want feedback if they’re not familiar with all the rooms. The booked room was a lot better and more comfortable, however the kettle had dried pasta in it which went in our tea, the bedside table had a tea bag stuck to it, the bathroom tap didn’t turn off, the double bed was filled with hair and the sheets appeared dirty and not changed. It was a really disappointing and unpleasant stay unfortunately.

Fantastic location and good heating but lots of improvements needed. The kitchen sink wasn't draining properly, cracks/holes in cement sheeting walls, bath was dirty, only 10 sheets of toilet paper were supplied, lamps were supplied in bedroom with no powerpoints! The stairwell had an awful smell. Linen was clean but Queen bed is two singles pushed together. Insufficient cooking and eating utensils in cupboards and only one bowl for breakfast cereal.

This hotel and building is in need of serious work. I stay in Melbourne CBD (this one is in east melbourne) 5-10 times a year and this is up there with the worst.

It's an old building, which is fine, but the place smells very musty. The main bed is actually 2 single bed bases and 2 mattresses pushed together, but the bases sit at different heights, so there is a big ridge in the middle of the bed. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable.

The bed is also on wheels and moves too easily. Just laying down on it the whole bed base moves. The bed moved throughout the night and the pillows go down a gap between the wall and bed (no bed head - just wall).

There are portable heaters/coolers on the floor, with extension cords running across the ground.

The free parking is terrific, especially in inner Melbourne, but there is a homeless person sleeping in the car park, right next to the building and based on their set up, I would guess they are there every night.

Noise can be heard from the apartments around and above, and there were a couple of apartments making a lot of noise well past midnight.

The kitchen has been remodeled as is the best part of the apartment, although they left the old splashback tiles.

This place might be ok if it was a really good value for money option, but it isn't. Whilst its cheaper than a hotel in the CBD, you don't save enough to put up with the standard of this apartment.

The room was unlivable and unsleepable for the family. While the bathroom was clean enough, the living area was dirty. The carpet and kitchen was slightly bit sticky when we walked on the surface,and as a family we felt unsafe because there were multiple windows exposed to the ground floor with no clear security features. For the price, i didn't expect it to be 5 star but we left because we couldn't stay the night. The nicely presented pictures of the hotel online did not match our experience. I sent a message to the hotel management and Expedia but neither responded to me.

Photos on the booking site are definitely not what greets you when you arrive. First room we had was filthy. Went to make a coffee and the cups were used and put back dirty, lip stick included. Utensils were used and put back in the drawer covered in grease and food. Complained to staff and got to choose a different room. Slightly cleaner but still not what is advertised. Staff were understanding and accomodated as best they could. Pictures on website need to be replaced with accurate ones

We booked this location purely because it promised on site free parking, unfortunately what they fail to mention is the “carpark” is tiny, and will be overbooked. So unfortunately we had to then attempt to find other carparks (costing money and risking fines and damage) nearby. A HUGE inconvenience when you’re travelling with children and people with disabilities.

Our apartment on arrival was absolutely disgusting. It was clear it hadn’t been cleaned from the last visitors. There was urine all over the WALLS and floor in the toilets, the bedding and sheets were covered in hair and not even tucked in around the mattress. It looked and smelled atrocious.
After reporting this to reception, requesting they organise someone to please come and clean the room the next day, we were assured that this would happen and a cleaner would be by shortly. We went out for the day and returned to find nothing had been cleaned. So called reception again who argued that they had sent a cleaner. Eventually they sent another one who was just as appalled as we were about the lack of hygiene in the apartment - even going as far as taking photos because he was disgusted and wanted to show management how poorly kept it was.
Reception was highly unapproachable, and very abrupt and rude.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all.

Very cheap for the size and location. The LHS of the king bed is sunken and collapsed. The couches are rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. There was only one bowl which wasn’t adequate given it’s a two bedroom apartment. Freezing cold and only one thin blanket on each bed plus one additional blanket per person.

This satisfied our purpose of purely a bed after going to the football but we are grateful we only needed that. The front door to the complex was constantly ajar leaving no security. The doors to the rooms were grotty. Inside was basic but our internal door had swear words written on it. The room was cold, ran down (parts of bathroom new) and the curtains were not actual curtains - I can’t even describe them. I was worried we were going to be broken into - I wouldn’t stay here again. I guess you get what you pay for in this example.

great place to stay for the (discounted) price. kitchen is equipped with the bare essentials but dishwasher is a big plus. water pressure is a bit extreme but the water gets hot fast. bedsheets were clean although pillows were not all covered and were stained underneath (not a big deal as pillowcases were clean). beds were comfortable and long enough for a fairly tall person. our toilet door did not fully close but the bathroom door did. the structure of the apartment is a little odd in that you have to go through the second bedroom to get to the bathroom which could cause disturbance at night if you are a light sleeper. all in all it was great for our needs as a group of young friends on holiday, would definitely stay again!

Honestly cannot believe the couches. To the owners / managers please buy some couches that are comfortable. It feels no better than a park bench.
Last time I said never again and stupidly fell for the cheap price. They are cheap but be prepared for the incredibly nasty and dirty side.
Don’t consider cooking there unless you bring your own frypan
Not responding to my messages on the Expedia platform meant I couldn’t cancel without losing my money.

The property itself was basic which is all we needed so that in itself was worth the money with kitchen. The queen bed was two singles put together which kept separating. The quilts were clean but had significant stains, wasn’t very appealing when looking at them but they were clean. The bathtub hadn’t been cleaned in a long time I scrubbed it so my kids could bath in it, the kitchen was missing cutlery, the toaster was melted and also hadn’t been cleaned in a while still functional after I cleaned it but a new toaster from Kmart is only $7 so replacing broken and worn items should be a priority. We did have a problem with our heater it broke on our first night but the owner did bring us a replacement and additional blankets at 9pm at night. I think if the cleaners paid a bit more attention to detail deep cleaning every so often, replaced missing items without guests having to ask it would be a good stay. No instructions for the heater or stove top so had to ring and ask. No rules about noise, a family leaving the building at 3am decided to do multiple trips not very quietly up and down the stairs they should have packed the car the night before like everyone else. Not the owners fault offcourse but if were given house rules that would have helped. Our last night we couldn’t park on the Carpark and had to park in the street because they over allocated parks. Taking that into consideration when booking or explaining to guests first would be a good idea but not a deal breaker

The room itself was good. Plenty of room in the 2 bedroom apartment. It was a cold night and even with the heaters on 30 degrees it barely did anything to heat the lounge room. And parking was a nightmare! Too many cars and not enough spaces. And so cramped that to drive in and out of the car park I literally had millimetres between my car and the two parked either side.

Expect nothing and you’ll be satisfied. Cracks throughout, dirty carpet, entire building smelt. Fine for a quick city stay (close to footy/rugby) wouldn’t be booking any time soon

Shower drain was blocked and quickly flooded. Overall apartment smelt of cigarette smoke and needs a refresh of paint, comfortable couches (the current one was old and not at all comfortable to sit on. No tv in main bedroom. Tv in living space was very small. Overall cleanliness and security into the building was poor (complex front door didn’t automatically close).

While price wasn’t too expensive, I would try other options next time

The place is a bit rundown & I was particularly unimpressed with the curtains as they didn’t not fully cover the windows meaning people could see in so no privacy. The receptionist didn’t seem interested.

Staff excellent and very helpful with misplaced swipe key. Apartments could do with some updating for example, dodgy power point in kitchen, no towel rails or even hooks in bathroom, only place to sit towels on closed toilet...unhygienic! Location is great, parking limited, very tight parking spaces. Only mirror in whole apartment small vanity mirror.

The property is in a great location within the beautiful suburb of East Melbourne. The property itself was old and tired. Due to the rain we received over night the apartment we stayed in leaked and had a terrible smell. It was extremely basic facilities but the sheets seemed clean which made it a bit better. It was extremely expensive for what we got.

Was average standard. Dirty blinds and marks on bed sheets. Grotty in the stairwell. Very loud people also staying and being noisy between 12am-3am.

You get what you pay for. Dirty and very old, could do with a clean and a paint. Furnishings are old, bathroom is old, nothing at all like the pictures.
Impossible to park 2 cars side by side in the car park. Lucky we only stayed one night after a concert, so wasn’t there for long.
Won’t be going back and would not recommend

My stay was alright but the after hour so called cleaning/manager lady is so rude and deceiving. The room we have been given was very smelly and confined. We asked her if there is another room with the park view.
\"All the rooms are the same and if you want to upgrade you can go to the CityEdge accross the road they may have bigger room\" she said.
We decided to leave the property and called the call centre to cancel our reservation. He asked us our reason and said there are two unoccupied rooms why don't you check them out.
The room has park view, was way much better than the one we were given. I asked the lady why did't offer us the room when we asked her? She couldn't say anything.
Anyways i don't understand her reason as well

Good location, poorly maintained

Beds were comfortable enough. Apartment was very dated. Nothing like the photos on the website. We were offered an apartment which wasn't even at the address we booked. Front door rattled and wobbled even when locked. Bath coating was peeling, bathroom tap had broken and been replaced with a bolt, toilet roll holder was hanging on by a thread
