The property was not as it had been promoted online. Room service was the worst quality, our bed was not done properly at all, noticed stains on our duvet and when asked to have it changed we were told it was normal to have stains on the duvet. The floors were never swept either. The spa was out of service, the pool was not heated and the bar was only there for show and was never functional. When we asked for hotel slippers we were told it was only for executive suite guests only.

Staff were all super helpful and friendly. However I would say the bed wasnt very comfortable and the soundproofing could be improved, if you have neighbours having a lil party you'll hear them. Overall good value spot to sleep for a few nights.
Staff were all super helpful and friendly. However I would say the bed wasnt very comfortable and the soundproofing could be improved, if you have neighbours having a lil party you'll hear them. Overall good value spot to sleep for a few nights.

The Veriu Collingwood is a clean comfortable hotel. We had an extended stay and our housekeeping staff led by Gel always made sure that our room was taken care of and our needs were met. We enjoyed some outstanding restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The transportation system into the Melbourne central business district was easy to navigate and efficient. We definitely used the laundry machine included inside our room. We would definitely stay at this location again on a future visit to Melbourne.

The room we were provided was not what we booked. When this was questioned with staff they would not accept responsibility for the mistake. Whilst we were given a replacement room it still did not meet all expectations and our stay was not as planned and we left disappointed.

Thumbs up: excellent location, close to lots of shopping, restaurants and transit. The little kitchen in the room was decently appointed for small meals. Comfortable bed. Room is tiny but it had a lot of amenities in a tiny space.

Unfortunately there are no lounge chairs - only a couple of rounded seating areas (with dirty cloth-covered cushions) and wire chairs - so not very comfortable for hanging out and sunning. Went to take a dip on Friday around 6PM and the rooftop bar was opened with patrons gathered around the pool on the chairs so it was too uncomfortable to strip down and swim among them. More of a lap pool and place to hang out I suppose.
The washer/drier we were in need of after traveling for several weeks though it didn’t dry well at all so took ages. Our sheets were slightly damp when we got into bed the first night (perhaps had steamed the mattress.) The room could use wall hooks and other places to hang or store clothing if staying for more than a couple days as we were (there is a very small closet) so our stuff was tough to keep tidy.
The other downsides were no washroom or change room on the pool level and no washroom close to the gym which can make things tricky.
Again this is in a great area and a nice clean hotel with more than the average hotel room provides though feels a bit confused and could be more comfortable with some basic adjustments.

Wonderful Melbourne break.
Excellent apartments with a fabulous rooftop pool. Great access into the tennis and cricket by walking a couple of miles down Smith Street. Also good access into the City using the team. It's outside of the free zone so make sure you add a Myki to your wallet and top up.
The staff are outstanding here and are incredibly helpful. We had a later flight to New Zealand and were given access to the pool and a shower before leaving.
I can highly recommend Terror Twilight for food, which is a couple of buildings up.

Awesome room with absolutely everything you need (kitchen, laundry, air conditioning), not to mention the huge backyard! The vibrant neighbourhood is full of cafés, restaurants, ice cream/gelato, record stores, etc. Trams to the City are a very short walk away. It would have been absolutely perfect with more attention paid to dusty surfaces. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the property.

The hotel Veriu in Collingwood was a very pleasant surprise.. Collingwood is a trendy very young and really fun area to stay. Great restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. The Hotel was awesome had all the comforts of home including a washer/dryer fridge stove & dishwasher. Beds were so comfy and the patio in the superior room was spacious enough we had friend c to visit outside. We would stay there again and Highly recommend the Hotel Veriu.. A great shout out to Mary who looked after us and helped us navigate around Collingwood!!

The toilet was almost unusable as it was too small and had a rail installed over the toilet. The appliances didn’t work. There were faeces in the elevator although these were cleaned. The price was greater than advertised on arrival which we only found out during the stay when comparing. Complained but no responsible management could be contacted. Disorganised.

I really like the place and I’ve gotta say that even facing out to the front there wasn’t any traffic or noise. The only real problem is the air-conditioner was just so loud and clunking sounding. It’s definitely something that they need to attend to because I had it in both rooms, that I was moved to. It’s a good location. Parking was really easy. And the furnishings were terrific. I’m really hoping they fix this AC issue because it’s a great place and the staff are really terrific.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was ok, but it wasn't as WOW as we were expecting, the room and balcony were smaller, the bed and pillows not particulary comfortable, and the provisions fairly meagre (ie only x1 of each type of tea bag), I'm sure we could have asked for more but felt that for an 'executive' apartment we shouldn't have to. Overall it was nice but a bit disappointing.

For all in-house guests, we have a limited Room Service menu available which includes Breakfast, Beverages, Snacks and a 24/7 Toastie offering. All our team members are trained to ensure that your health, safety and comfort are our number one priority while you are staying at our House.
