Stayed there for 4 nights . Check in was quick . Staff very helpful and informative . The room and the bathroom were almost spotless . Location is great no matter you drive or not with a lot of choices of restaurants around . Also the room has a kitchen which was also clean and we cooked up some meals to save some money from dining out . All in All , our stay was great and it deserves our coming back .

We have been staying at this motel for many years when we travel to Melbourne. It has always been incredible with large rooms with kitchenetes. HOWEVER, this time there has been a change of owner and the rooms are small and cramped. Where parking used to be free you are now charged $30 per day which increases the amount paid for the room. We will not return again.

Wotif on the other hand are a terrible site. They over booked and didn't send through my booking to the Lygon Lodge, though they charged me and it was only through the help of the hotel staff I was able to get a room. I will never use Wotif again and I would strongly recommend to my colleagues, friends and family to never use Wotif again too.

We specifically chose the property as it advertised parking, yet when we got there we found that parking was not available on the property and to park on the street for free between 7pm and 7am.
As it was Valentines Day...there was no parking and who wants to have to wake before 7am to shift their vehicle.
Subsequently, we parked in the Carpark next door only to find that doesn't open the next day and we needed to pay a hefty penalty to have someone attend the carpark to let our car out....causing us to miss our next flight.

Very disappointing. I travel every few weeks here and abroad and this is easily the worst experience in the last year. I don’t normally leave reviews and have never left a negative review.
1. Glass door to balcony won’t lock so impossible to secure room. First floor balcony is easily accessible from outside.
2. Aircon remote screen broken so can’t control it as can’t see what you’re doing.
3. No water pressure in shower and almost no hot water water. Have to run for minutes to get it warm.
4. Didn’t replace hand towels. Took on first day and never replaced.
5. Hairdryer broken and held together with rubber bands.
6. Iron also broken

The one bedroom unit was clean, spacious and functional, with two A/C units ensuring a comfortable climate. The kitchen area was functional and adequately furnished. Overall furnishings were acceptable and the bathroom was obviously newly renovated and very nice. Prior comments intimated no street noise; we beg to differ, listening to probably young males (making up for other shortcomings?) racing their cars down the street. Overall the stay was acceptable, the staff were very friendly and the location was very convenient. Would we stay here again? The possibility of street noise would likely prompt us to at least consider other options.

This place was perfect for me as a solo traveller, it was close to everything I needed to get to! The building isn't new so of course there are some stains on the floors however it was properly cleaned and the staff were very lovely!

The hallway carpet needed a good vacuum and tiles a good mop. Such a shame that this Hotel has not or is not maintained, as it has great potential.

I read the reviews after booking and was preparing for the worst. What I found was a great, quiet stay that was centrally located, easy to get in and out of, with all the features I needed. The people at the front desk were helpful and friendly, the location was sensational, and I found my apartment was super good value for the price. I had no issue with noise, no weird people popping in my room, no problems with the shower, found my room clean, didn't face any of the issues others had described.
