BEFORE travel, I was most concerned about the parking situation in downtown Melbourne. I sent a text to the property BEFORE travel, and they basically quoted the information I already had access to online (and that I quoted in my chat to them), without answering my question, which I then repeated, with no reply BEFORE arrival, as if handled by AI only. Upon our late night arrival, I asked the security guard who checked us in about parking, and he gave me an answer which I thought matched what I was told online (reasonable), but turned out later to be the wrong parking garage and the wrong price (double of what was quoted). It was only 2 days later that I was able to actually find someone staffing the proper check-in desk where I could get some answers. At that time, it was still only after I paid (quoted rate as promised) that I was told WHERE the parking was located. Very secretive! Of all of the encounters I ever had with service personnel in Melbourne, this was by far the worst and most rude. And this was a question I was worried about and had chatted to them via Expedia BEFORE travel, with no response! Also, the elevators in the property were under maintenance, and we had to take the stairs (4th floor) from time to time. Otherwise, the accommodation was OK.

The room and building were neglected. Very dirty rooms, broken dishwasher, tv remote did not work, unpleasant smelling lobby and lift areas. Unsatisfactory amount of kitchen utensils or coffee supplies. The noise was an issue it sounded like the windows were open.

Good: comfortable bed, quiet room, convenient location, kitchenette. Not good: no saucepan (only two old frypans), missing bit of bar fridge so taller containers (such as milk) could not be put in door and did not fit on fridge shelves, uncomfortable couch, bed sheets done wrong, no winter doona or blanket (only summer weight), others I’ve forgotten.

The property is not located in a nice area of the CBD. It looks like a nice area online, but when you arrive, it is very dirty and not a nice smell. The reception also had a terrible smell when we entered. Staff failed to advise there was vomit that needed to be cleaned in the elevator area before we had already paid for our stay. We decided to not even stay in the accommodation and we found another location. Would not recommend staying here. For the price per night, it is definitely not worth staying.

We had booked for 6 but was only given 4 towels, and the amount of coffee and sugar was only enough for 1 day, and there was none of those mini milks in the fridge. I was pleasantly surprised with my room. It was clean, had kitchen ware and utensils. Washing machine and a drying rack were welcome., Toaster also available.It is a small space, but we only needed somewhere to sleep,and shower. The only negative comment is the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, but it won't stop me from staying here again.
I loved the location, couple of minutes walk from tram, it was very easy to find.close to markets, very close to Melb central shopping centre, various eating places nearby.
I will definitely be staying here again, it's my new Melb go to! A big thankyou to Nishtha for a nice welcome, and quick check in .

Staff knew l was semi disabled, using a walker. They failed to inform me that there was a step in the unit. Yes l was helped to the unit but the unit was totally dark, blinds down and no lights on. Result l literally “walked” the walker off the step, badly twisting & spraining my right foot. Staff agreed on Wednesday that they would come at 10:30am Sunday to help me get bag down stairs - no show. When l went to reception, no one visible in area. Also l had do not disturb sign, yet Friday came back to the window wide open, l had medical equipment and S8 drugs in the room. The charger for my live life alarm ($20) missing.

We booked a room with two double beds through Expedia but got a room with one double bed only which we had to take as no other alternative was available. We were offered to cancel and look for other hotels but had booked this hotel prior to Christmas so we’re expecting to get what was booked as it was close to Queen Victoria Market. Really poor communication. Was closed on arrival and had to call a reception member to let us in. When trying to pay for our parking their eftpos machine wouldn’t work and paid cash however they were unhappy that I didn’t have exact change. Very poor attitude about the whole situation and I felt as though the whole experience was handled poorly. Only 1 key for 4 people. No one at reception on check out so we just left the key in the room. Was cheap and did the job for the purpose of the booking however will probably not be staying again.

So, expect narrow shower areas, limited storage/plug points, average beds, limited room service, etc. that come with the territory.

Very secure, requiring card access in 4 locations. Good view. Clean apartment. Location excellent. Would stay again but only if the following were rectified: It's reasonable to expect cooking equipment and utensils would be available for a 7 night stay that was advertised as having a two burner stove and microwave. Only cooking equipment provided was a small frying pan and a saucepan with unstable handle. Only utensil equipment provided was an egg flip. No chopping board or knife to prepare food. No tea-towel and only 1 fork provided. Exhaust fan over hotplates didn't work. Fridge door had only a top drawer. Fridge was set on 4/8 but everything froze. No kitchen sink plug or bathroom vanity plug. No washing powder provided for washing machine. There was a clothes airer but no clothes dryer. Suggestions for improvement were written down and handed to reception.

There were very few pieces of glassware,
crockery or cutlery which made eating in hard. There was no dishwasher tablet and with an expectation to leave the kitchen clean, this made things tricky. The shower cubicle could have been cleaner. Location is terrific but looking at the small things would make it much more comfortable.

I was disappointed that we did not have a balcony or city view. We looked out at a large grubby shade cloth …below it looked as though it may have been a courtyard but there were old blankets and soaps (or something?) on the ground- we could see outside because a window was wide open (possibly to let out possible cigarette smell in room?) that didn’t have any fly wire screen. Room not at all like picture.

Location = “perfect” but that’s it.

I convinced myself at all their prior poor reviews wouldn’t pertain to me. But I was wrong.

Units are wore and tired. Pics are more flattering than in person.

Property claimed to have laundry. Listed as an amenity and Showed pictures of in-unit laundry on their Expedia ad. I arrive to a studio with no laundry. No laundry available in the entire building. Front desk staff was very short with me and said I had no option but to stay “as is” or cancel the reservation. This was at 6 o’clock in the evening. They told me that they do not guarantee laundry with every unit but “They try.”

The front desk staff does the bare minimum. When I initially called the front desk about the laundry situation, they said they would call me back shortly. I waited 45 minutes and then went down to reception in person. The gentleman told me I had an international phone number and he didn’t know how to call me. However, he confirmed my phone number at check-in with the country code.

The linens were stained with blood or some other dark substance. Both the showerhead and the bathroom sink nozzles sprayed in various directions.

The room could use a deep cleaning.

Bedside tables were obviously damaged prior and glued back together.

The list could go on…..

The price is attractive but don’t be fooled.

We arrived early, cold and wet, were told that we couldn't get a room before 2pm. We asked for somewhere to get changed but were totally ignored, so had to change in the front office. We asked at that time if check in was complete and this was confirmed. We arrive back after 2pm only to find out that we had to check in, with the Manager not being able to complete this and having to get instructions from two other people. Once completed we were informed that we had to wait to be taken in \"as everybody is on lunch\". Fortunately we didn't have to wait long.
Room was OK, however a little run down with a broken toilet seat, but for one night it was fine.

The apartments are located very centrally in Melbourne, with Bourke Street and laneways within walking distance. Reception isn't open on Sundays so we were unable to leave our bags after checking out, which we would have been able to do at a hotel. The room was spacious with all amenities, including a washing machine, iron and kitchen. There was a small balcony as well but it was quite loud as it overlooked Elizabeth Street - but this was to be expected from a CBD location. Overall, I was happy with the room as it had everything we needed.
