Fantastic queen room, with great room layout and a balcony. The only downside was when we returned at about midnight after a night out with friends, there was no hot water in the shower (nor the kitchen or bathroom taps), so we had to have cold showers, on a rainy and cold night. The hot water was back on in the morning. There are limited reception hours so we could not contact anyone. And when we went to check out in the morning, there was again no one at reception, so could not advise them of the situation

This was my second stay at Punthill Ivanhoe. The apartment was nice, modern, light and perfect for my purposes (visiting relatives in Austin Hospital and nearby Macleod). Penty of food options down the hill in Burgundy Street. Or if you don't want to walk back up the hill, easy drop off location for Ubereats or other. Amenities good (washer/dryer was v handy for me). There is traffic noise (especially around peak hr) but I tuned this out quickly and easily. Definitely staying again when the need arises.

The internet is appalling, the best speed I could get was 9.2 Mpbs and you need around 20 Mpbs for anything to work. Managed to get onto YouTube but the lag was so bad that the video would stop and load every minute or so. I stayed there before roughly two years ago and the deterioration of the apartments was noticeable; the balcony was filthy with cobwebs and debris - looked like it hasn't been swept or washed in a long time. The door to get onto the balcony was so hard to open that I gave it away; no instant coffee, only two coffee pods for a two night stay; no tea towels; I will never stay here again, especially due to the superior competition in the area. Don't recommend at all.

I was happy with my stay. It is a safe area and my dog was safe and happy when she by herself. Not very big parks that is close I can walk my dog to but there are small parks. The street have cars driveby often but it's quite in apartment.
Don't pay for parking if you drive car to work, can park 2P weekday, Sat till 12pm and Sun free. There are also other 2P Street nearby. I was a section can park free nearby but always taken up by cars quickly.

Booked a secured underground carpark, was told upon check in that carparks had been booked out for a week and we would have to wait until someone left and park in one of the 15 provided street parks which meant sitting on the road for 45 minutes. We booked through hotels.com. We had correspondence with the property via email as well as through hotels.com to organise a car park, check in times, etc.

They blamed it on a scam and said the phone call didn’t come from them, even with being their phone number listed on their business cards. Easy check in/out with very friendly concierge. Property is well appointed with easy access to local amenities such as restaurants, shops, public transport, hospitals etc. Unit was clean with a comfortable bed. Limited bathing products so it was good I brought my own. There was a hairdryer. Traffic noise can be an issue particularly from ambulance sirens due to the property’s locale. Overall enjoyed my stay. Would highly recommend and will come back.
