Please note: THIS IS DESIGNED SIMILAR TO A COLLEGE CAMPUS, NOT A HOTEL. THAT IS WHY IT IS SO CHEAP! Please do your reasearch. Yes, there are no cups, but I had an easy fix...I used paper cups. OR, use the communal kitchen. (Literally as advertised before you rent the room). Yes, it is $250 for a bond deposit. (Also as advertised). If you look after your room, you get it back. 😉 I paid in cash so I got my money back the day I left.

I do recommend paying cash since everyone is complaining about their bond taking a while to come back with card.

Please also do not blame the reception staff as I have seen them be verbally abused in person because of these reasons. It is not acceptable. They are doing their best. They are just the front men and women, not the owners or management. Treat them with respect.

Seriously guys, I paid $600 for a week stay DURING christmas...LITERALLY CHEAPER THAN MY RENT...How can I complain? This placed is designed to be minimalistic, easy to manage and to be affordable.

The staff was great. On arrival I was given the wrong room as I wanted a twin room with 2 beds. The manager put us in Novotel for one night while the twin room was being prepared. When we checked into our twin room the next day, it was clean and staff was amazing! The service at Together co-living was really the best! The rooms are clean and there’s a kitchen and laundry on each floor, a pool area, a cafe and a gym. Very good for long stays.

My security deposit $250 was never returned even though I was told upon paying it as long as the room was cleaned would be returned straight away. That was 48 hours ago now and I’m still waiting for my $250 to show my bank account. This is not a good way to treat value customers that have stayed there many many times. Show me today’s day and age computer banking anywhere else return it straight away turn my money please.

Hotel is clean and modern but very noisy. You hear every door slamming and we had issues with tv noise and parties in nearby rooms. On the final. Night there was also a fowl smell of Cannabis on our floor. We alerted staff who didn’t really do much to sort it out other than walk the hallway.

It fitted my budget for an overnight stay, so you get what you have paid for.

The good part is the bed is comfortable, bad for anyone over 175cm tall as a bench overlaps about 10cm over the bed with zero gap. I recommend the owners cut that bench/board off, and mount it elsewhere as a shelf.

The good part is the room is self-contained, window opens; I'd be concerned if the rooms have a dampness problem - check shower curtain, dampness of the room carpet when you step outside the shower.

Unfortunately the staff left a very poor impression. This venue was understaffed with long wait times and the process of checking in was severely lacking customer service.

The check in had a very rigid policy around ID and basically told me to get a refund because my drivers licence had recently expired (even though I had renewed it via Vic Roads and had evidence but the card was not yet updated).

Wotif and the accommodation should make this very clear to guests before arrival rather than being so rude and simply shrugging and turning away guests away who have already paid in full. The lack of care was very upsetting and distressing to be turned away as a single woman in Melbourne for the night.

This was later sorted out by a much more reasonable staff member when I returned that evening but the initial impression was very poor. Check out times were very long as well as there was clearly an understaffing issue at the peak time.

Weekly housekeeping is so bad and neglected, they don’t do the vacuum, don’t clean the bathroom correctly and don’t clean the tables.
The common kitchen are dirty, and most of the kitchenware is not working, 5th floor kitchen has only one heater that is working !!!!!
Staff is really average, they’re not smiling, not welcoming and really looks like they have been forced to be here. And more importantly they are not clear on all the information they give you about this place!!
And last but not least, it’s not secured at all. Some young thieves are hanging out in the hotel, and they come back at night to steal bicycles and scooters.
Someone in the hotel got his scooter stolen at night, and the girl at the reception SAW the guy leaving, pushing the scooter, and she didn’t even dare to call the police or try to stop them!!!!
One of the baddest place I went to….
Oh and don’t try to use the wifi it’s not working lol

We had issues on initial check-in that the room we booked was not what we got. We spoke to reception on initial check in before unpacking any luggage as we noticed the bed seemed small considering we were expecting a king bed and were told that room is the room we are in so my post-op husband got into bed. His feet were hanging over the bed end and he was taking up 2/3 of the bed meaning it was only a double bed - not a king, not even a queen. I spoke to reception again (this time with photos of my husband in the bed to prove we definitely had not been placed in the room we had booked and paid for). There were no rooms currently available but they were able to book us to move to a king room in 3 nights time. The original room with the too small bed was clean and neat but I fell out of bed twice in the 3 nights due to no space so I was very glad when we were able to move to the king room. The king room was exactly what we needed. My post op husband was able to lay comfortably in the bed without being bumped by me in the night and I never fell out of the bed the rest of the stay. The room was clean and neat and quiet enough for him to get plenty of rest (though the walls are thin so loud conversation and tv could be heard through the wall). The move to the room was quick and easy with reception calling us as soon as the room was ready and us able to move straight from room to room without having to check out and wait first. Overall I was happy with the stay.

I booked a large balcony unit, it was freezing in the room and I had the centrally controlled aircon off and the unit on the roof was making an extremely loud noise and keep dripping and cold cold air was still coming out of the back of the unit. The staff came and checked it and agreed that I couldn’t sleep in there but as no maintenance around I had to be moved to a small queen room: I asked if I would get the difference back as I had two nights there and they said no. I was frustrated by this as the faulty aircon is not my fault but made the room inhabitable. I also was originally at the back of the building so it was nice and quiet: then I was moved to the front which was much louder.
I asked to borrow a hair dryer but apparently there was only one for the whole place and someone had it.
Cleanliness was average. Shower heads are terrible and need replacing you cannot adjust them and water pressure is super strong even with tap barely on.

This was a TERRIBLE place! My room wasnt cleaned in the 12 days I stayed, no clean sheets or towels. I had to go downstairs and ask for toulet rolls and was given one at time like they were gold. The power went out and they put an announcement over the PA in all rooms at 1.30 am on one day and then 4.30am another day. One morning there was no power and no water and again on another day the water AND power was out all day. There is a kettle and microwave in the room but no cups, plates or utensils. The staff are rude and unhelpful.
Worst of all, they dont give your bond back. I have been waiting 3 and a half weeks. I have tried emailing and calling… crickets. I am now going to consumer protection.
AVOID this place it is a shocker.

PROS: The room was pretty clean, spacious, bed was comfy. The gym and pool facilities were def highlights, staff were friendly, lots of great common areas for students and groups to study/mingle. CONS: The place is kinda falling apart. Fridge and aircon worked, but rattled so noisily from their old age and overuse that it was hard to sleep some nights. Two of the floor-to-ceiling windows were letting water in from worn/missing seals. I told the front desk staff after the 1st stormy night, I was there for a week, nothing was done. It stormed 2-3 more times during my stay, in the end I just had to put a towel down to soak up the leak so it wouldn't damage the carpet. The balcony door lock didn't work. The shower had a spider in the drain and there was no soap or spare toilet paper. The pictures of the room online when I booked were very obviously taken when the place was brand new.

I wasn’t told about a planned power outage happening the day I booked. After a flight, transportation and hot weather, I wanted to cool down and charge my phone but because of the outage, I had to stay in a lobby of the hotel next to the hotel I paid for, to stay cool and charge my phone for over 3 hours. I wish I was told beforehand about the power outage, the staff were nice during this period but there was no compensation for it.
It wasn’t a very clean hotel room. The bathroom is tiny but it’s okay. The window isn’t sealed properly so there was a breeze. You can’t change the ac temp. You could see the marks and feel sticky places everywhere, especially the tv remote. Dead moths and alive ones in the room I was in. I was also next to a kitchen that everyone can use, it did get loud at times when people were cooking and smelly. People kept opening the stair doors and letting them slam shut behind them which is very loud at night. Otherwise it was a good experience, staff were nice but just annoying I wasn’t informed at all of a planned power outage, really ruined the whole experience for myself but I would stay there again.

Difficult two weeks at this hotel

Pretty awful two weeks here - air con unit was really loud, power outages, dirty water, broken toilet and fire alarms. I wanna say it’s the case of a series of unfortunate events but clearly there is trade off to this hotel being so cheap. Some of the accomodation is shared with university accomodation which means you get the habits of some students. Hallway bins weren’t emptied leaving quite a big mess in the hallway as the cleaners only come to your room on Thursday, students seem to set off fire alarms quite frequently, one day the whole hallway was smoked up from someone burning toast.

Would not recommend as a long term stay. The room was okay for the price point but the amount of maintenance issues made this hotel a nightmare.

The hotel is very good. Rooms are comfortable and very cozy. Perfect for one person. The front desk staff is friendly and kind. The airport is not too far. The tram and metro line are only few blocks to go to the city. The only negative this is that they never cleaned the room in four days. They didn't change the towels as well. I recommend it but just be aware about cleanliness. The facilitates are really nice. I'll stay again in the future.

We had a great king-sized room with balcony that had a great view over north and west Melbourne and south to the city. Everything was clean and new and the shared kitchen was generally well equipped, maintained and clean. Very well equipped gym and nice, clean swimming pool. Easy walk to transport, shops, cafes and restaurants. Definitely recommend this property to those who want a well-priced option and are happy to stay in a lively northern suburb with easy access to the city and other attractions.

We arrived at the hotel around 7:30 PM, and there was a staff member at the reception desk. He informed us that we needed to wait 20 minutes as he was on break. A few other guests arrived while we waited, and by the time we checked in, it was quite late.

At check-in, we were given a cotton carry bag containing two paper cups, two coffee sachets, two milk capsules, two sugar packets, a tea bag, two coffee stirrers, and a few toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, and body/hand soap. Our stay was for two nights.

The room was small, with old and worn carpeting. The hooks on the plastic shower screen were broken, and the wash basin could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The room doors didn’t close automatically; you had to pull them and slam them shut for them to lock properly. The frequent slamming of doors as guests came and went. It was very noisy and woke us up a few times during the night.

For dinner, we went to Novotel restaurant which is part of the hotel where I ordered seafood pasta. It was disappointing, especially considering the high price. The sauce was watery and bland. When I asked for Parmesan cheese, the staff member scooped it with his hand from a plastic container and poured it into a dish. I found this unhygienic and told him so. Ultimately, I didn’t finish my meal.

I truly loved staying at Together Co-Living except for the reverse cycle air conditioner. It made a lot of noise from about 5am and I couldnt sleep after that because it continued for half an hour and then on and off for a while after that. Despite that, I'll stay there again. Looks clean, but when i opened the toilet..oh boy, it stunk, awful smell..so i have to spray disinfectants, luckily i always carry it everywhere i go when travelling.
Also, when you use the sink or take a shower, bubbles were coming out of the toilet drain.

And for future reference, they provided heaters and microwaves, but no cups, cutleries, and toiletries.

Just a quick overnight stay.
Tiny room, but the bed was comfortable, the tv was big, the water pressure was strong and I had a good view.
It’s close to the 86 tram and other transport too.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
24hr gym. Small restaurant and an outdoor pool (seasonal).
Be aware with this category of room though, that there is no kitchenette area and thus, no cups, plates, bowls, glasses or utensils.
I didn’t realise, so I had to knick out and buy some disposable stuff for the snacks and drinks I bought. I’ll be aware next time!
Otherwise, for what I paid, it was a bargain and I’d definitely stay again.

There was nothing in the room, no soap to wash your hands or to use in the shower, tea or coffee the fridge didn’t work. I went the upgrade room, yes it’s designed as cheap hotels but still paid $150 there should be at least soap to use to wash your hands not good enough

This website is not updated I booked room with balcony when I went there reception told us your room comes with no balcony… we cancel the room and asked for refund… for $380 but Expedia only gave us 25 points for next booking instead of fully refund

It was not obvious or communicated that this accommodation does not supply the standard soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea, sugar, milk, cutlery, cups or plates. A microwave and kettle was provided but pretty pointless. I was charged a $250 bond on top of paying for the room for the 1 night which was also not communicated. No additional bedding was available in the room in case it was cold, and the heating was centrally controlled. The pillows were pretty hard and standard for hotel accommodation.
The bed was comfortable, and the furnishings were of good quality.
Be prepared and bring cups, tea/ coffee supplies and milk if you want a hot drink and bring soap if you want to wash your hands or have a shower.

Do not stay here for your sanity

The worst I’ve ever experienced. I was treated like a criminal upon arrival because my car did not have number plates( I have a valid reason for this and also I. Possession of permit).

To top it all off, house keeping walked in on me

should be clear that this place is a UNI hostel not a hotel ! - Not suitable for business and or couples/ family
additional $35 for parking
additional $250 room Bond -which i have Not received back yet!!!!
clusters of international students sitting and eating off the foyer floors - never book sight unseen as WotIF show a different picture, rooms are tiny!
