I would have given this a higher rating except that the air quality in the room was very poor. Though all the public spaces, annie ann and the rooms then themselves were nice, the we stayed in had not been updated for awhile and the ventilation system and air conditioner smelled mildewy. This was in spite of the fact the room was fairly high priced. We would have moved hotels, but we had an unknown refundable rate. We did ask to change rooms, but the second room had the same issue. The hotel was kind enough to give us one night's free mini bar as compensation.

Overall, my stay at The Langham was disappointing and not reflective of a 5-star luxury hotel. The room itself was very comfortable, the housekeeping team were outstanding throughout our stay, the room was always cleaned to an excellent standard and requests were consistently fulfilled. Russell, who assisted with our luggage, was also polite and friendly.
Unfortunately, the service failures outweighed these positives. Upon check-in, our bags took 45 minutes to arrive despite being chased twice, delaying our plans. To make matters worse, the front panel of the room safe fell off, highlighting a lack of upkeep. While maintenance resolved this and the duty manager later apologised with some service recovery, the experience set the tone for the stay.
On NYs Day at breakfast, the staff member checking room numbers, Kiko, was rude and abrupt with my partner, telling her she could not dine due to wearing pyjamas and hotel slippers. This was particularly frustrating given that other guests were allowed to dine in equally casual or more revealing outfits, including pyjamas and slippers. The inconsistent and arbitrary enforcement of these rules, combined with generally poor breakfast service, was unacceptable.
While Becky was kind and arranged a late checkout, the front desk experience was appalling. Cindy, who assisted me, was dismissive and unprofessional, behaving as though updating my key was an inconvenience and appearing visibly annoyed when asked to confirm the checkout time.

Whilst the one bedroom suite was compact (like many Hong Kong and Singapore suites) all the staff especially at the club lounge are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast at the food gallery was varied but some hot items could have been a bit hotter and the room was quite crowded
Unfortunately Peking Road leading to the hotel is cordoned off and you have to use the subway for access but there are elevators and escalators available which is a boon when carrying luggage. Haiphong Road is better access to the hotel but both roads carry a lot of traffic.

Access to this property is inconvenient - you either access via the front carpark where taxis etc drop you off, or have to go via stairs from the side entrance. Room was reasonable in size, however, toilet didn't flush well and was getting clogged, water is in the form of glass bottles that don't re-seal. Check in staff were indifferent at times - arriving at midnight to checkin, I was greeted by a staff member who continued to count money instead of assisting me at this late hour. Concierge female staff didn't care to acknowledge me in any way while I waited for my stored luggage as it wasn't 'her job'.

Bathroom amenties were extremely annoying to use - the pump for the hand soap and shower gel/shampoo/conditioner is fitted poorly. The nozzle is difficult to use as when you push down on the pump its access is limited. This is very frustrating when you try to pump out any liquids. Never had this in other hotels with similar arrangements.

Housekeeping was attentive.

A simply high quality elegant hotel in the heart of Hong Kong. Great location walkable to many attractions and shopping centers. The metro is across the street, literally you open the door and cross the street 20 feet and you go down to the metro station.
Staff is professional, helpful, courteous and friendly. We also had the high tea at the hotel which was exceptional.
The room was clean elegant, comfortable. The bed was amazing. Definitely will come back.

The good things: the staff were excellent at this property and the location can't be beat if you want to do some shopping and be close to the water. The bad things: the property is really showing it's age. The room's furnishings, carpet and design was very dated. Upon arrival in my room I was met with a heavily perfumed room that was likely done to mask the stale humidity. The hotel (promptly) did their best to address the issue for me, but was only a minor bandaid. No amenities that kept up with modern business travel (e.g no usb for charging).

We recently spent a day/night at The Langham Hotel in Hong Kong - loved the place. It was very convenient for us (particularly coming from the nearby cruise terminal) and beautiful inside. It was relatively cost effective, and the staff were most helpful both before we arrived (in response to some emails) and while there. If you plan to stay on the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbor, we'd recommend The Langham.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Hotel restaurants had limited menu options for “western food” and cost was $100/couple for simple lunch or dinner.

Beautiful hotel in a prime location. The ‘Mtr’ was just across the road from the hotels’ front door. We had booked a one bedroom suite with club lounge access. The club lounge was one of the best we had experienced during our many travels. We would definitely return to The Langham.

We recently stayed at The Langham, Hong Kong, and were thoroughly impressed by both the exceptional service and the unbeatable location.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Every team member we encountered — from the front desk to the concierge to the housekeeping staff — was professional, warm, and eager to assist. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality set the tone for an enjoyable stay.

The hotel's location is another standout feature. Situated right in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, The Langham is just steps away from Harbour City, luxury boutiques, the Star Ferry, and the beautiful Victoria Harbour promenade. It’s incredibly convenient whether you’re in Hong Kong for shopping, dining, sightseeing, or business. The location is reasonably close to the TST MTR station and easily accessible via the underground pedway system.

The pool on the 15th floor was also a welcome relief for the hot, humid summer days.

Overall, The Langham combines classic elegance with impeccable service and a prime location. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay in Hong Kong, and would consider staying here again next time in Hong Kong.

The tea at breakfast was terrible and the yoghurt was very low quality. The room service wanted me to pay at my door whilst I had just got out of the shower !
