We had a wonderful stay at Shinjuku Prince Hotel.
We booked a triple room, and it was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family. The three beds were large and very comfortable, and the room size exceeded our expectations, especially for Tokyo. The location is perfect, with easy access to Shinjuku Station, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The views of the city were amazing, and the hotel made exploring Tokyo so convenient. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

I liked the hotel. Very luxurious. The rooms are a little small a like most of Tokyo - but they are as advertised, so please do your research. The breakfast wasn’t bad. Ice is readily available, they have a bar, and several other amenities.

Super close to the hype of Kabuchiko and
Godzilla. Easy walking distance to the train station if you know which exit to get in and out off otherwise it will be a challenge. Room is perfect, small but decent enough to use just to sleep since there’s lots of things going around the area, our room is overlooking the Godzilla head its nice.

This hotel does not feel like a 4 star hotel as advertised, we got the feeling it was a cruise ship room from a dated ship well past its prime. Go for a newer APA hotel for an equal room and bathroom size but for half the price.

Pros: right next to the Seibu-Shinjuku train station which had a Starbucks and Krispy Kreme. Also right across the street for several little restaurants, McDonalds and a 7-Eleven. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: there was very limited storage (eg no closets, drawers) for our clothes. There was an open clothes rack with hangers but we just ended up keeping things in our suitcase. The shower curtain didn’t extend all the way around the tub so we’d have to use our towels to soak up the water on the floor anytime one of us showered. Our room wasn’t ready at the 1:00pm check in time. We were asked to wait in the lounge area for about 15 minutes but the staff person was very apologetic and even gave us some pretty chocolates candies for the wait.

The staff here is 100% bilingual and very good about helping foreigners not only book their stays but navigate Japan. No problems at all. The hotel service and room cleaning was impressive and thorough as I've ever seen at a hotel.

The only downside I'd say here is the rooms are small. And I think that's more to do with Japanese hotels in this area. I was out and about so much I didn't really notice, but that's a real concern, especially if you're staying with other people.

Breakfast was great. They had Western and Japanese offerings and both were delicious! Shinjuku is very much big city Tokyo -- it felt like NYC at times. The environment is lively and the nights were surprisingly quiet. I'd recommend this spot to travelers, especially those under 40.

Located on the Main Street in kabukicho the hotel is in the main tourist area of Shinjuku. Close to the subway and 2 min from airport bus pickup .
Some rooms are small but I believe bigger rooms are also there . The rooms have all the amenities and the staff is very helpful

Love that they provide pajamas (long comfy button down long sleeved shirt dresses) - had I known I wouldn't have packed pjs. The locations is priceless if you're up for being in the heart of the busy night life of Shinjuku. It's conveniently located next to a train station and all the awesome restaurants and stores. It's close to known tourist spots and trending foodie spots. I also loved the view of the city that we had - Includes Godzilla!

They didn't have an iron/steamer which was a huge disappointment since I needed that. The staff was helpful but staff by the restaurant aren't always greeting you but you would think they would since they're right by the main entrance. The room I booked with the two beds was really tight for tourists like myself that had a couple large luggages. My son is also over 6ft so he hit his head a lot in the shower/bathroom. I'm not sure if this is just typical of what to expect in Japan hotels.

Good hotel but it was cumbersome to request amenities. Really disappointed with the first room we reserved: very VERY small (couldn’t even leave our suitcases open) and noisy because our room faced the train tracks. No laundry facilities was another HUGE disappointment and very inconvenient. Other than the VERY small rooms and no laundry facilities were big disappointments: we had to upgrade and pay addition $800.00 for a better room. Also, hotel seemed to group tourists to lower floors…I felt a bit discriminated even though I was born and raised “local” resident that moved away for some time.

I stayed in few neighborhoods of Tokyo this year. This hotel is located in a very busy area which may be is good for tourists but not very clean rooms to the pint I wasn’t comfortable to sleep in the bed. To compare to Japanese hotels, I don’t see this hotel under 4 star. The shower curtain wasn’t clean, carpet was looking clean. All together with this experience, I don’t see myself coming back here again.
We were family of two, and we had two more families with us and all said the same thing.

This place was perfect for what we needed. Room was small but we didn’t plan to spend much time there. We just really neeeded a clean place to sleep and this was it. Great location to shopping, food, and the two train stations.

Staff was really great, nice, and helpful.

You can check your bags and explore even after checkout.

The only problem for me is the noise from the train(station) if you get a room facing the station, like in my case. Its quite annoying if you want to sleep a bit longer.

The pictures we saw when booking the hotel didn’t match the actual hotel or our rooms. The rooms were outdated and had mold everywhere. Our sink had a crack, and the shower curtain wasn’t clean. The location was convenient and safe, but it was also very crowded. Not recommended.

This hotel room was so small you couldn’t leave your suitcase open. It had two twin beds and no where to stand or sit. There was no closet and a tiny bathroom.

-can opt for delicious/healthy breakfast buffet
-at the very heart of shinjuku
-close to train station
-close to shopping area
-has access to train startion inside if you leave later in the day
-sound proofing is great.
-city view at night is very nice

-room is small
-room temp can run on warmer side. As a disclaimer: we are used to the cold where we live so we love the cooler side when it comes to our hotel room. But our room’s temp went as high as 25C. I asked them regarding it and they sent someone immediately after we left. They cleaned the air filter in the room. It did help a bit but it remained around 23-24C the time we are there. They do have dyson fan that they lend the room so it made the warmer temperature bearable.
-on the expensive side for budget travellers

In summary, we would book a room with them given the chance even if it’s a little bit more expensive. Worth the stay for family of 3 like us.

The rooms are VERY small. We had two twin beds and there was no room for our luggage. The hotel is very convenient in location right in Shinjuku (a fair walk from the Shinjuku station however). It is priced based on the location, not the room and amenities. Would only stay there again if I needed to be in that location. Otherwise, not worth the very pricey rate.

I think Okay sums it up nicely. Nothing wow, but does the job. Locations is great as very close to main station in Shinjuku as well as all the tourist sites. I’ve stayed in a few hotels here in Japan and this one’s definitely on the smaller side. Room is tiny, no space for suitcase except under the bed. The bathroom was small but manageable. The only real negative for us was the uncomfortable beds/pillows. Woke up sore each morning, so if comfort is high on your priorities then probably skip this hotel. Oh and housekeeping doesn’t actually clean the room, they just make the beds and give new towels, which was fine for us. Overall not horrible, but an okay experience

The view from the large windows is why I chose this hotel, and I wasn't disappointed with the view from the 21st floor. Lovely, clean, spacious room for a solo traveler with room under the bed for shoes and suitcase. A large TV with easily accessible HDMI ports, usb A,C and power outlets on both sides of the bed, A drawer under the padded bench for dirty clothes, in room safe (small), 2 complimentary water bottles (per cleaning schedule), floor standing air purifier unit, reasonably good black out blinds and a small moveable pedestal table are other niceties of the room. Bathroom amenities include the everloved ✨bidet✨ as expected, a deep bath tub with shower wand with *fantastic* water pressure and precise temperature and flow controls. The buffet breakfast was tasty and offered many options rotating through 2(?) \"menus\" being offered. Coffee to go it's a nice option available. Private indoor smoking room on the B1 level is adequate but would be nice to have a spot to lean/sit, besides the walls after a long day spent walking. Small cons are: no coin laundry option, but same day laundry service is offered, awkward hanger space if you need to hang jackets/coats and aside from the drawer, under the bed and the safe there are really no spaces to store things. 4.5/5⭐ staff was friendly and helpful too

We were shocked by the extremely small room upon check in. I was pleased the Shinjuku Prince staff worked hard to accommodate us and offer a fair, but pricey upgrade option to a bigger room. Once in this room, we had some issues with noise, but the floor staff were responsive and helped address this problem. All things considered, our stay was enjoyable and if you want to be close to activity- the Shinjuku Prince offers an unbeatable location in this key Tokyo ward.
