Great simple hotel with updated rooms and no frills decor. Very inexpensive but clean and well maintained. Noise from nearby rooms and outside was pretty loud, however. Nice comfortable beds. Would stay here again!

The problem that we had with the hotel was that it is very lacking in sound proofing. When the people above us came in after we went to bed we could hear every footstep and their voices. The room was small, too, and we couldn't pass each other between the end of the bed and the TV, etc. Otherwise it was a relatively nice place.

The Good:
The motel looked nice and the rooms were pleasant looking and clean. Parking was good. The price was good. The staff was kind. The heating & cooling was a little loud but it worked fine.

Less Good:
-There were no night stands by either of the two queen beds.
-There was only one weird bed lamp swiveling between the beds mounted on the wall. The only sink was outside the bathroom in line-of-sight to the bed. So, there's no way to use the sink in the light without waking up my wife.
-I went to the lobby to ask about a place to eat and the door was locked with a "be right back" sign on it.

This is older motel that is fully renovated. I like the decor and the large countertops. The microwave is tiny, but the fridge is bigger than the standard Best Western norm. I was able to make ice overnight which is a big plus for me. When we arrived, the room smelled so fresh and clean, without the chemical smell.

Room was very clean. Nice view of grassy park out of window. Only thing I didn’t like was the lighting in the bedroom section. There is only a bright overhead light near the bedroom window (quite far from the center of room), or a tiny light by bed headboard.
Check in was quick and easy. Parking easy.

Erter staff I would be arriving late, around 11:30 pm. Was told that would be no problem and just call the after hour number. Called for about 20 minutes, left voice mail but nothing. Had to book a different hotel, luckily there was another one open. Also sent an e-mail last night. It is 1 pm next day and still no response from this hotel.

I also thought the small metal tray attached to the wall was not a good replacement for a night stand. Overall it was clean and comfortable but don’t know if I will book at the same place next time.

I stayed at this hotel from Friday to Sunday, but unfortunately I had to check out early on Saturday night because of the noise.
The biggest issue is the poor sound insulation. The TVs from other rooms seem to be mounted on the wall right behind the headboards, so you can clearly hear everything from the neighboring rooms. During the night, my neighbor was playing loud music and it was almost impossible to sleep.
I understand that noise can happen, but the structure of the rooms really needs improvement when it comes to soundproofing. It made the stay very uncomfortable and I was not able to rest.
The location is good, but because of this experience I would probably not stay here again unless the noise issue is addressed.

Spotless room, recently re done and very tasteful and contemporary. Beds were awesome, ceramic mugs and large glasses. There were no nightstands or table lamps, only a shared wall lamp between beds, so that was a downer for me. I used our cooler as a night stand.
Friendly staff.
The room and lobby were decorated with the owner's art work which is sort of modern impressionist land and sea scapes. Very very nice.
We will probably be back.

The only thing I would had enjoyed better was the cable service great for people who like to stream and are efficient in using service. I like simply and easy.

The room was nice, clean, and easily accessible, but the walls are very thin. I could hear everything everyone was doing inside their rooms or outside on the walkway. Someone in the room next to me turned on the TV around 4am, and I could hear the entire show. I did appreciate that there was no extra charge for parking.

Heat/cool unit woke me when cycled on. Kitchenette sink serves as bathroom sink. Has sink, microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker, but no place to sit and eat. Bed squeaks. Tub looks like it was refinished, and the coating is coming off. Other than that, it was perfect.

Pros: helpful staff, clean rooms, comfy beds. Cons: thinnest walls and ceilings possible, rowdy clientele, terrible wifi, bare minimum amenities.

We stayed 3 nights. First night we were kept awake by the ice maker (two doors down), foot traffic (both overhead guests and adjacent stairs), and loud guests. We were relocated to the upper level after speaking with the front desk. Second night was fine but WiFi didn’t support remote work in the morning. Third night we were woken by yelling guests and slamming doors at 1am and 3am.

Do not recommend and will not return.

The room was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the ac was great. The not great was that the WiFi didn’t work, tv didn’t have the basic channels so you have to use your own apps or suffer with Pluto tv. And finally, some of the other guests were a bit sketchy, not a good feeling. But it was very quiet and I slept well.

A/C heating unit was extremely loud so had to be turned off in order to sleep. Fortunately the weather was mild. There are no closets just some hooks on the walls so a stay of 5 days meant having to haul out the suitcases every day. No housekeeping until day three is the norm as this motel. Beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. Location is convenient on main drag. Very nice park for kids adjacent to motel with big playground. Downstairs room was noisy when guests were in room above because structure is old and creaks loudly when people walk around upstairs. Internet is very slow. We did not use tv so don’t know about that. Coffee maker broken on arrival, but I took it to the office and was given a brand new one. I like their online pre-registration—made check-in a snap.

This was our second stay and the rooms have always been very clean and the staff very friendly. It’s conveniently located off the main road into town and there are several grocery stores and lots of restaurants a short drive away. The accommodations are very basic but it has everything you need. We had a few burned out light bulbs which we asked to be replaced but never were. This made shaving very challenging. One other weird thing is that the sink is a kitchen sink so it’s deep and boxy making it difficult to get close to the mirror.

The design of the rooms is great too, the only downside is the vinyl flooring is starting to deconstruct already (it's the product quality that is poor, not the installation.)

The playground behind was key for our kids!

Anacortes Inn was a beautiful hotel and so clean/modern. Unfortunately we were placed right next to the stairwell and behind the wall by the fireplace so it was a bit dark and inconvenient for unloading/loading the car with 2 kids.

That being said, if you have little kids, the playground at the back of the hotel was key! We had so much fun wearing them out before the end of the day and first thing of the day.

Lots of places to eat within walking distance and a short drive for more options.

Would definitely stay again!

This property was a pleasant surprise. At arrival, I was disappointed from the appearance on the outside. Once I went inside, I could not have been more pleased. It is recently redone in a modern Scandinavian vibe. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The front staff is friendly and helpful. I would gladly stay here again!

It would have been nice to have a bed side table on either side of the king bed. What was available was very small and difficult to reach while lying down. Bedside light was a bit awkward to turn on and off from in bed. I also found a pair of contact lenses in the wood ledge above the bed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Shower had good water pressure. My overall stay was good.
