I travel for business. A lot. I'm in hotels 40-50 nights a year. If every hotel experience was as good as Majestic is *every single time* my life would be much better. I stay here once or twice a year in connection with sailing regattas. Staff, facility, rooms. All are excellent.

I wish I could say the same about the staff. With each stay we have found the front desk staff to be terrible. Rude, condescending and unhelpful. Majestic Inn & Spa is a lovely hotel. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean. We loved the rooftop area for sunset. When it was a little too cold to stay up there, we used the area on the building next door. The view was lovely. We received ground coffee and creamer on checkin to use in the french press coffee maker in our room. Free, easy parking. We walked to nearby restaurants and stores for anything that we needed. Would love to come back sometime!

I was on the 3rd floor. One of the rooms was having Sheetrock work done and it was all over the carpets upstairs.

After quite a long trip, we had a very comfortable stay despite our short time in Anacortes - we only stayed overnight to catch an early ferry departure. The hotel itself is very charming. There's even a functional rotary phone to call someone to the front desk. We stayed in a single room with a queen. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was equally quite spacious with good counter space (I'm a stickler for bathroom counter space). The rainfall showerhead was also lovely. I wished that there were bathroom wall hooks. Street noise wasn't an issue at night (though I didn't care much to pay attention to that kind of thing). The area is very walkable to several restaurants and shops. Overall, definitely recommend if you want a very comfortable and posh stay.

We stayed in the annex because I don’t think they have king size beds in the historic 1888 original building. But we did look around and see some original areas. More could be done to highlight the original. The rooftop bar on top the annex was nice for relaxing drinks and small selection of food. Wish we had eaten there as the food in the dining room was terrible. My halibut and risotto were swimming in grease, his ribeye steak was about 1/4” thick, which explains why he wasn’t asked how rare he might have wanted it, nothing but well done was possible! The staff were delightful particularly the lady bartender. She offered us dessert and a song for anniversary, both very good, so we didn’t mention the awful meal. However they might have noticed a dinner with a few bites gone the rest returned is a clue it was bad!

My wife and I stayed at the Majestic Inn and Spa for 2 nights for our 10th anniversary. This was a last-minute booking, 2 days in advance, as we had to cancel our trip to Winthrop due to active wildfires in the area.
The staff at the Majestic were absolutely wonderful! And the Spa employees took great care of my wife for her massage and facial; she was glowing after her appointment!
The service from every employee was outstanding, and the rooftop lounge at sunset was a very nice surprise. I highly recommend dining there, if you are lucky enough to stay when the weather is suitable. The rooftop menu is limited, but has a wide drink selection. There is always the Bistro in the hotel for a better variety of dining choices, or many nearby restaurants to choose from.
The room was spotless, the furniture was comfortable and contemporary/modern, and the cleaning staff tidied up while we were out for the day, a nice touch!
Please note, this is a “boutique” historic hotel. There is no pool or hot tub. Having kids ourselves, we would not stay here for a family vacation. But for 2 adults who need a break from the stress of life, the Majestic is an amazing place to stay, run by professionals who clearly prioritize service above all. We cannot recommend it enough, and will most definitely stay here again in the future!

When we went to check in, the unpleasant man said we’d have to come back in a hour and when we did no one was at the desk, there was sign that he stepped away and to call a phone number which I did and there was no answer. I asked a woman who came in to work and she said she’d find someone. After someone contacted him he then came out from the small office behind the desk. He was extremely arrogant, I really didn’t want stay there at all.

The Majestic Inn and Spa was conveniently located near many shopping and restaurant options. There’s plenty to see and do in the area. We stayed in the main building and had a balcony. Our friends stayed in the building across from the courtyard. Those rooms were more updated but no balcony. Both were great options so it really is your preference. We would definitely stay here again.
