We had a lovely stay at Pousada Recanto. The staff are helpful and the breakfast was impressive, a full spread of eggs, fruit and pastries. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach and a 15 to 20 minute walk into the historic center. Rustic and friendly.

Best Pousada ever (aka bed and breakfast) ... great breakfast, AC is very efficient and quiet... day and nights personnel is very friendly and helpfull... go do a boat toor to go swims around island... they are not speaking english but honestly you dont need it... the city is verrly safe as well.

My room was right next to the reception, which made it very noisy at night. People were talking loudly, sometimes after 10 p.m., despite a sign asking for silence. I recommend avoiding room 16 if you want to sleep well, especially if you’re sensitive to noise.
Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., which is too late for travelers with early departures. No alternative like a takeaway option is offered—something quite common elsewhere. This lack of flexibility is inconvenient and frustrating.
The hotel is far from the city center. Although technically covered by Uber, it’s very hard to find one. A few local drivers use the app, but most taxis set prices based on Uber estimates—then charge even more. Taxis are expensive, scarce, and wait times are long. This makes getting around stressful and can really affect your overall trip experience.
Another surprising and disappointing detail: there was no shampoo provided in the room—something I’ve never encountered before in a hotel, regardless of category.
Lastly, I chose this hotel because of its location near the beach, but it was a letdown. The beach is muddy, stagnant, full of mosquitoes, and definitely not suitable for swimming or relaxing.
In short, I regret booking this hotel. For comfort, convenience, and a proper beach, I recommend staying closer to the city center.

Por ser localizada numa área de muita vegetação a pousada oferece spray para insetos mas para quem tem alergia a picadas de insetos é importante levar repelente(tomadas SBP etc…)para aproveitar com mais conforto.

Pousada bem localizada - próxima a praia do Jabaquara e relativamente perto do centro histórico de Paraty. Quartos confortáveis, café da manhã espetacular e atendentes atenciosos. O único problema que tivemos foi a quantidade de pernilongos que tinha no quarto, mas mesmo assim, no quarto tinha repelente. Muito bom e voltarei com certeza.

Nous avons choisi cet hébergement qui est a 25 minutes à pied de la ville pour être au calme. Mais au contraire, c’était très bruyant, j’avais l’impression que les gens sur place vivaient ici à l’année. Ils restaient dans la cour qui résonne jusqu’à tard dans la nuit (après minuit) et reprenaient le matin (6/7h).
Le petit déjeuner est très copieux mais il faut y aller avant 8h30 car sinon vous n’aurez plus rien.
Les gens sur place vidaient parfois plus de la moitié des plats pour une personne sans même en laisser aux autres.. ils prenaient également les bananes par exemple à emporter par 2 ou 3. Ce jour la j’en voulais une mais j’en ai pas pu..

Dans la douche vous avez 2 positions pour l’eau chaude, la 1 qui s’est tiède et la 2 qu est brulante.

O hotel é limpo e organizado, os funcionários são solícitos, porém em praticamente tudo é necessário usar o carro, para ir ao centro histórico em média 20 minutos de carro, o banheiro do quarto em que me hospedaram é minúsculo e o chuveiro mal saia agua, a porta do quarto tinha uma fresta que dava para ver tudo dentro do quarto (pendurei uma toalha para tirar a visão de quem estava de fora), observei outros quartos melhores que o que eu estava, então pode ser quea experiência pudesse ser melhor em outro quarto.

Condições razoáveis, cafe da manhã ok, limpeza ok, atendimento ok, o quarto é pequeno e sem isolamento acústico, você ouve tudo de outros quartos. Durante minha estadia fizeram uma reforma próximo do quarto que estávamos, houve muito barulho mesmo quando estavamos na pousada, por conta desta forma retiraram uma tela de proteção contra mosquitos, o quarto infestou de mosquito, fomos até a recepção solicitando providências e nos deram inseticida. Para quem não é muito exigente eu diria que a pousada atenderia. Se eu retornar a Paraty procurarei outra pousada
