Do início ao fim da estadia tudo estava impecável. Arrumação, limpeza, decoração, cheiros, atenção com os hóspedes, educação, cortesia, proatividade. O lugar é lindo, de extremo bom gosto, agradabilíssimo, e com um serviço ímpar. O café da manhã é simples porém tudo estava delicioso e a senhora que faz os quentes na hora além de fazer um crepe salgado e doce maravilhosos é de uma simpatia extrema. Fiquei uma vez. Repeti logo em seguida. E agora recomendo.

Terrible odor in unclean unit

The property itself is beautiful and well-kept, but our unit was really quite awful. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in some time, and smelled very heavily of mold and just dirtiness in general. The blanket provided for the main bed was not usable because it smelled so badly. The hosts were kind, and the outdoor breakfast was delicious, but we barely slept because of not being able to breathe well due to strong odors. We tried opening all windows and even the door (until cats wandered in) but this didn't overcome the smell. There was also a lot of visible dust in the unit, especially the bathroom. Because of all this we'd have to say we would not recommend this pousada.

Yvan is a fantastic host. He keeps beautiful gardens, pool and outdoor dining areas. Their Pousada rooms are very clean and comfortable. Best of all, Yvan is very helpful recomding dining restaurants and activities. You will have a great time at his Pousada.

Property is at one end of Jabaquara beach which itself is not the best beach in the area although its not far at all from historic center 3(min taxi ride ). Here is where things are not supportive for courteous Hospitality for Visitors. The Cost/value just plummets when you pay Top dollar for average service and Hospitality. Taxi driver wanted 50 R for trip. I pay considerably less for a ride from Ipanema to Santa Teresa Neigborhoodd in Pricy Rio de Janeiro. Stay in the Historic center of Paraty with the hospitable brazilian locals who are fair and receptive in the tourist buissness. The historic center has a plethora of wonderful accomodations and services.

The Pousada is everything they advertised and more!!! It is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. The owners are nice and friendly and make you feel welcome. Orbitz had not made our reservation so when we arrived they didn’t know we were coming but they took care of us and they had a chalet open that we stayed in. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. If you use Orbitz to book make sure they have done there part but I would recommend contacting the owner and not using Orbitz.

Lovely quaint hideaway in the tropics

Lovely quaint hideaway a few steps from the beach and some wonderful bars. The Pousada is tranquil, peaceful with French relaxing music played in the background. The swimming pool was absolutely beautiful too. The slight let down was the bedroom which was a little humid but to be expected . Overall it was a wonderful place and I would go back there tomorrow!

This place is so wonderful, it also has six cats that add a lot of charm to the place. The rooms are perfect with these cute little front porches that make a beautiful morning coffee. The included breakfast is delicious! We originally booked for one day but liked it so much that we stayed another day.

The amazing Eliconial

We have completed 3 days of complete relaxation at Poussada Elioconal. The hosts Ricardo and Roberto were very helpful, spoke several languages including English. We really enjoyed hearing some Ricardos world travels told in a very understated manner. The pool is beautiful surrounded by the most idyllic tropical trees and foliage and a magnificent garden. The accomodation, especially the mattress was of the highest quality. Coffee regularly available and jacuzzi and sauna.We were made to feel completely at home and experienced the warmest of hospitality.We are both in our 60's and have travelled a lot and this was by far our best experience ever...for comfort, hospitality and enjoyment overall. Quiet...comfort...utter.relaxation. We really didnt want to leave. A thousand thanks to Ricardo, Roberto and all the team. If you go to Paraty you must stay here!!! Mary and Derry

Tropical wonderland!

We stayed for three days in this beautiful place. I have lived in Hawaii and in Mexico for many years and to see the care they have given to all the plants on the land is wonderful!! The owners work constantly to fulfill your every request,the breakfast complete with crepes of your desire. Ask any questions and they are prepared to help as much as they can. Don,t hesitate and book this six room boutique oasis of tropical wonderland!

Perfect in everyway.

Amazing stay, could not of been more perfect. Our host made us so welcome from the moment we arrived. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and just so relaxing. Breakfast is amazing, you have to try the crepes.. Mmmmm... I have stayed in so many hotels around the world and I must say this is a very special place. I have never been so sad to leave a hotel. Absolutely Perfect!

An amazing, peaceful oasis in a beautiful town. Roberto, Christina and everyone is incredible and go out of their way to make each detail of accommodations, amenities, service and grounds perfect. Delicious breakfast, complimentary afternoon \"happy hour,\" relaxing pool/spa/sauna, the most comfortable bed and pillows in South America and the list goes on and on. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

From the moment we arrived, we loved it! The room was perfect and the outdoor space is a lush garden with cats, a parrot, a dog and a family of monkeys who come every morning to enjoy the delicious breakfast. The guys who own and manage the pousada couldn't have been nicer, more welcoming or more helpful. I would return to Brazil just to stay here again. No matter how good something is, there is always a negative...except for this pousada, absolutely no negatives here. They helped organize a private transfer from GIG and gave us information to catch the bus back to Rio. The owners and manager are well traveled and brilliant to speak with. Much like the animals residing on premise who all just showed up on their own and stayed, part of us will never leave either. Book a room ASAP!

We loved staying here and would come again if we were ever in town. We were hesitant to book here since it's further from the historic center, but ended up loving it. Yvan was a great host, made us feel very welcome and comfortable. He gave us great tips of things to do around Paraty and was a great guide. The room was very comfortable, cute, and very clean. Everything worked perfectly, including the AC!!! and everything in the bathroom. Breakfast was AMAZING. The pool and hot tub were also in fantastic shape, which we enjoyed as well. Love, love, love!

Pousada with a big heart

From the first contact with this hotel I had a great feel for the place: Ricardo and his team were so helpful with advice and arranged our transport from Rio and back. There is a very personal feel to the place, we loved it and felt at home there - were very sad to leave. It is a very manageable walk away from the centre of Paraty: there are buses and a taxi service but we never felt the need to use these over our three nights stay.

Fabulous place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Eliconial. The staff here, Ricardo, Roberto, Thomas, Christine etc are all so very friendly and helpful. The pousada is a short walk to the beach and restaurant/bars so all very convenient. There is a local bus into town every hour or so but if the weather is good it's only a 20 minute walk into the old town which is fabulous to explore. The rooms at Eliconial are very comfortable and the swimming pool, spa and sauna are fabulous! The breakfast is amazing with a great selection of fruits, bread/toast, jams, cereal and even crepes! We would definitely recommend Eliconial and would stay here again.

Incredible pousada

Stayed only 2 nights but would have loved to have stayed more. Was met by the host who offered us a beer:drink on arrival whilst sorting out the stay information. He was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information for what to do. (which we did and had a great time! Go to Trindade beaches!). The room was clean and had a hammock to lie in outside. The place is covered with tropical gardens and there was loads of wildlife - marmoset monkeys were in the trees, humming birds were in the flowers by the pool and they have 8 cats, a parrot and a dalmation! Breakfast very good and hosts friendly. Would have loved to stay more but were on a strict intinery around Brazil.

Very quiet and reasonably close to a good swimming beach and a cluster of good restaurants. About a 20 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride from the centre of Paraty. This is a delightful and scenic town with good places to eat and shop.

The hotel owners and staff are wonderfully cheerful and helpful. The pousada has a good sauna and swimming pool in a garden environment and serves a great breakfast. Recommended to all.

Beautiful pousada in tranquil surroundings

I have travelled a lot for both business and pleasure and can safely say that Eliconial Pousada is the best accomodation of it's type I have ever stayed in. It's very safe, private and set in beautiful, peaceful and homely surroundings. My wife and I spent 5 nights there between visits to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Firstly, the staff (Roberto, Ricardo, Yvan, Cristina and Antonia) were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Between them they speak Portuguese, English and French. Also worth a mention are Louis the dalmation and Caio the parrot!!!

The pousada is set within lots of tropical plants, trees and flowers and has been decorated and furnished in keeping with it's homely, understated feel.

At the heart of the pousada are the pool, jacuzzi and sauna which are modern and immaculately clean. After a day of sightseeing it was a fantastic way to end the day. The jacuzzi is a must!

We stayed in a standard room which, although not luxurious is tastefully decorated and, like everything else, very clean. The bed also had the option of a mosquito net, not that we came across many bugs while we were there.

The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereal, bread and cakes. Cristina and Antonia will also make eggs and crepes to order!

Even though it's not in the historical centre, we didn't find the walk from Jabaquara too demanding or unsafe and if you have a car or bike then it's no problem at all.

We loved it and would recommend it!

It was a little further away from the centre of Paraty than we had anticipated, so sometimes taxis back after a long day were required, but the surrounding area was tranquil with a good selection of nearby restaurants/bars on the beach itself. Would definitely go back again!

A very warm welcome

We stayed at this Pousada for just 2 nights but could have stayed much longer. The owner and staff could not do enough for us. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were very helpful with recommending restaurants and helped organised our Schooner trip. The pool area was beautiful and an excellent breakfast. No worries about getting into town as the very frequent and reliable bus is outside the door.

Paradise on Earth

Warmly welcomed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and were sad to leave. It is true what they say \"We are not strangers, just friends who haven't met\" Ivan and rest could not have been more accommodating. Wi-Fi works great. The town is within walking distance, the beach is a stone's throw away. After a day of a boat trip or walking in town or whatever, you come back to friendly conversation, freshly made coffee and then relax in sauna and Jacuzzi. The Caipirinhas are amazing and made with love. Everyone is just happy to help and answer any questions.

We can not recommend this place enough!!!

***We recommend La Luna restaurant when it is open - great food and atmosphere.***

***Avoid the Pizza at all costs if you can although go to the hostel for music and drinks as its great there. The place is run by hippies with love. The pizza is so salty, and the ingredients are all processed. I don't know what kind of cheese they use, but they put far too much of it on the pizza. If you have to, stay away from anything with ham or mushrooms (not real)***

This hotel / Pousada is an a gem of place. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and able to help with anything you need. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be in comfort and paradise. The beach is 5 minutes away with lots of beach bars and only 25 min walk from the historical centre. I would happily stay here again in a heart beat!

great hotel to explore Paraty from.

Situated at the edge of Paraty but a pleasant 25 minutes walk. There is a regular bus into town.The hotel is a pleasant place to stay if you want to relax in a lovely garden with swimming pool and sauna.There are several small restaurants close by. The beach in front of hotel is pleasant but not the best for bathing but safe for children.

Yvan and staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming and the pousada is beautiful. We had a rental car from GRU airport so enjoyed the quick jaunt into the historic centre and many lovely drives to the surrounding sites and villages. The drive was fantastic and only hassles were with the car rental agents. This pousada is great value for money and our favourite in all of Brazil. Highly recommended!

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. Great service by the owners who were very knowledgable about the area including restaurants, festivals, boat/jeep/hiking tours, etc.

The walk to central Parati is 25 minutes and involves a hill. A cab ride is a fixed rate of 20 Real. There is a market with basic necessities within 10 minute walking distance and several beach restaurants along the strip (La Luna is especially good). Would highly recommend renting a car if staying more than a couple days.

The Pousada itself is very picturesque. Rooms are average size and do not come with the amenities of a hotel - the bed was a double - however there was a mini fridge, a stove, and table. Several electrical outlets with both european and north american connectors. The hammock on the porch was a big plus.

Une superbe expérience à ELICONIAL POUSADA. Ricardo et Yvan m’ont accueilli comme à la maison. Je m’y suis senti extrêmement bien. Il n’y a que 6 suites (oui je nomme ça suites au vu de la prestation ++++)

C’est très calme, le jardin est agréable avec sa piscine et tout est raffiné jusqu’au petit déjeuner.

Je conseille vivement cet hébergement qui est à 10min max en voiture du centre ville historique de Paraty et qui offre une zenitude parfaite.

Le lieu est un petit coin tranquille tenu par 2 français qui parlent plusieurs autre langues. Ils sont très accueillants et de bons conseils. Les maisons mitoyennes sont très mignonnes. La literie confortable. Le petit déjeuner est top. La piscine charme l’endroit mais nous ne sommes pas baignés, il faisait gris pendant notre séjour.
Seul hic la cuvette de toilettes avait du moisi que nous avons nettoyé à notre arrivée, nous pensons que c’est l’humidité.
La localisation est quand même assez éloignée par rapport au centre, il vaut mieux en tous les cas avoir une voiture.
Parking sécurisé dans le lieu.

Bem abaixo da média. os chalés cheiram a mofo, travesseiro cheira a mofo, banheiro com chuveiro com pouca pressão, utensílios do banheiro degradados, espelho, porta toalha.

Pousada muito bacana com animais pra quem gosta, papagaio, gatos e macaquinhos. Não tem praia para banho perto, e o centro fica uns 40 min andando. Tivemos um azar de cair energia e ficamos umas 6 horas sem energia, Wi-Fi banho etc. mas de resto foi ótimo

Pousada maravilhosa. Ótima localização situada no final da praia da Jabaquara. Aproximadamente uns 5 minutos de carro até o centro histórico. Os donos são pessoas maravilhosas e atenciosas. O que faz o local tornar se mais especial. O café da manhã não é no modelo de buffet, mas é servido a mesa com todo carinho e atenção.

Hospedagem muito bem cuidada e arborizada. Lindos jardins. Amamos a sra Denise, que serviu nosso café da manhã. Dono da pousada muito gentil. Tudo ocorreu bem. Apenas sentimos falta das jacuzzis que constam no site e hoje já foram retiradas, precisando mudar no anuncio e também no informativo dentro do quarto. Quarto pequeno. Como sugestão, acredito que o café da manhã, poderia ser servido em sistema de buffet, ao invés de sermos servidos e também que tivesse cardápio de lanche e comidas para pedirmos na pousada durante o dia para lanche , almoço e jantar, pois não tinha nada e ninguem para servir. Apenas como sugestão. Obrigada

Nós adoramos a estadia! O Yvan e o Ricardo são muito receptivos, atenciosos e dão ótimas dicas do que fazer e a Denise prepara um café da manhã delicioso! A pousada fica bem pertinho da praia e do centro histórico, ótima localização! Uma dica é não utilizar o GPS para chegar até ela, melhor entrar em contato com a pousada para que possam dizer o melhor caminho pois o GPS nos coloca em ruas que nem parecem ruas de tão esburacadas que são!
Quando você abre o portão parece até que está entrando em outro lugar! O jardim é lindo, tem vários micos que ficam por ali nas árvores e uma piscina ótima! Ficamos no quarto 4 e atendeu nossas necessidades perfeitamente.

Nossa estadia na Eliconial foi SENSACIONAL!! Os cuidados com o local e com os hóspedes é incrível. Ricardo e Ivan amam o que fazem e nos fazem sentir em casa. Desde a chegada com as informações (que chegam antes por email também), as dicas de passeios, o quarto MUITO limpo e confortável, café da manhã único e os bate-papos. Enfim foi (como disse) SENSACIONAL. Só temos a agradecer e certamente aguardar a chance de retornar.

Pousada fica na praia de jabaquara. Fica bem próxima do centro.
Os Donos Ivan e Ricardo são super atenciosos e nos deram várias dicas. Os quartos são amplos e muito bonitos. O café da manhã é muito bom! A pousada tem uma piscina muito bonita e fica a metros da praia q tb é muito charmosa.

Lugar incrível, paisagem do jardim, piscina maravilhosa, o quarto sempre limpo, cama perfeita. A pousada é muito agradável, equipe muito educada, café da manha muito gostoso com bastante opções. Única observação que temos a fazer é, que no 2 dia o banheiro, mesmo após limpeza, apresentava um cheiro um pouco desagradável, não sei se poderia ser um tipo de retorno no ralo ou algo assim.

Pousada bem gostosa, funcionários atenciosos, principalmente o Ivan.
Quarto aconchegante, um contato próximo da natureza.
A única coisa é que pessoas que possuem dificuldades em mobilidade não aconselho, além da rua da pousada ser ruim, ela fica um pouco distante do Centro histórico. Então caso voce nao esteja acostumado a andar e está sem carro, nao é uma boa pedida.

Pousada linda e tranquila

Muito bonita a pousada. São 6 chalés, ou seja 3 geminados . Os donos são franceses, muito simpática e muito cuidadosos com tudo. Tudo na pousada é super bem cuidado. Voltagem 110. É 1,8 km do centro mas tem praia quase na frente .
Dá para pegar o carro e estacionar nos bolsões e ficar tranquilo no centro histórico.
