Stunning accommodation - set completely in the jungle with a treehouse vibe and a completely immersive experience. Staff are lovely and incredibly helpful as well which adds to the experience!

AVOID ON WEEKENDS

HORRENDOUS. I stayed two night. I was looking for peace and quite. My room open air room was directly over the kitchen and dinning area. The first morning I was awaken at 7am by guests eating breakfast. The second night the dance club next door blasted music until 5:45 AM. IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP. Then a tour group of 20 showed up for breakfast at 6:45. THERE WAS 1:15 minutes of quite all night. BIG SUCK! Additionally a film crew of non registered guests filmed a music video all afternoon. 4 hours of the same music being blasted directly under my room and smoking the whole time. This place really is to be AVOIDED!!

A very unique property. We had a deluxe room that was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony, hammock and the view.

The location of the property is stunning, right in the middle of a jungle. The property however, is quite dated and is not well maintained in terms of cleaning. Breakfast is very basic with very limited options. We tried massages and they were great.

Views were lovely and style of huts are very right to the area’s native culture. The huts were spacious and the toilets worked great, although one cannot flush toilet paper which is understandable. As the huts are literally hugging the side of a mountain, make sure to wear good walking shoes and have steady balance to walk on paths and steep steps.

MincaEcoHabs era una propiedad muy bonita con vistas espectaculares.

Muchos pájaros exóticos y bonitos, los árboles y montañas alrededor hacen un paisaje muy calmado.

Queda un poquito alejado del pueblo, se escucha la música un poco durante los fines de semana pero esta bien cerca para caminar, y alejado para mantener paz y tranquilidad

Angie, Bryan y todos los q trabajan allí son muy buena gente, buenas recomendaciones, y muy amables

Los cuartos están bien grandes con vista muy bonita, tiene nevera, agua caliente (que lujo), y un balcón con hamaca para las vistas.

Ver la puesta del sol desde el mirador q está en la propiedad es una maravilla y los sonidos de la selva y pájaros en el atardecer y por la mañana es muy bonito.

El desayuno delicioso, no se sobre cena o almuerzo porq el restaurante solamente tenía desayuno para ese entonces pero estaba bien rica la comida y el restaurante también tiene unas vistas hermosas de las montañas y Santa Marta.

Me encantó tanto que me quede un día adicional, definitivamente regresaré a MincaEcoHabs

Great stay! Family trip with adult children that live in Columbia. Well built Bamboo treehouses with lots of bird life. Be prepared for stairs. Clean roomy bedroom and common space. Bathroom has plenty of hot water for showers- felt spoiled

Perfect jungle relaxation

Wonderful family operated place with cute animals! VERy very clean, bug nets were perfect, hammocks and the pool were so relaxing in the jungle forest. Breakfast was perfect before setting off to trek tayrona! Tayrona entrance is just a few minute walk!

Charming cabins with friendly, helpful staff.

Lovely little place outside Santa Marta. Cabins are well screened from the bugs (but some will get in, you are in nature!). Hot water for showers, all friendly staff, especially Ivan. The town of Minca is about 100 yards away where you can contract ecological activities and tours.
The restaurant wasn't so great, the cook was friendly, but the food was greasy and so salty it was almost inedible.
Still, I would absolutely stay here again, it's wonderful You have to walk up and down natural steps, so not good for disabled people with limited mobility, but otherwise, you'll be happy.
Oh, the climate is great, too. You are up in the foothills so its not as hot as in Santa Marta. Our room fan was more than enough.

Pleasant stay with lovely views in Minca.

The room was spacious and beautiful with great views. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Quick on site laundry. 5 minute walk to town. On site restaurant is good but service is very slow. Overall, lovely place to enjoy the area and to relax.

Lovely place on the cliff overlooking the valley and Santa Marta in the distance. The rooms are two level open air (but well netted) structures with a living space on the first floor and bedroom on top. Private bathroom with shower. Very comfortable matress/pillows and impeccably clean. The top floor has a balcony with hammocks and a beautiful view. Minutes walk to main town and all the amenities. Included breakfast was fruit, juice, coffee/tea and typical Columbian fare (corn patties, arepas, eggs), very tasty and simple.
The restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner, however, there were lots of places to eat In town.
Special mention of Ivan, the receptionist who was incredibly gracious, friendly, and spoke excellent English. He gave us great suggestions, and directions on where to go and what to do, to get the most out of our time in Minca. Was also happy to order food to the room for us after a long day of hiking, and arrange tours/transportation as requested. He made our trip.

Overall highly recommend the excellent ecohotel and a big thank you to Ivan for making our trip so enjoyable.

The property is beautiful and the rooms have lovely views. I enjoyed reading in the hammock and looking out at the mountains. The staff is incredible and very helpful. However, the food is just ok. Breakfast is included and it is very basic. I also stayed next to an area where the staff was working and experienced a little more noise. For example, they did laundry until 9pm and starting before 8am, which was distruptive. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Minca does not offer many midrange hotels, so it’s a great option if you dont want to be in a hostel.

The setting is lovely with a beautiful backdrop.
The downsides should be obvious, as it's literally a hut in the middle of the forest - the room isn't sealed, so you'll get a variety of bugs and musquitos, as well as lizards (that will poop on you from the roof multiple times).
Pay attention, do not book taxis or tours with the reception, as their prices are almost double usual prices you can get in the village or with taxi company in Santa Marta

I love the view, I love the setup. The bed isn't so comfortable, and I wish I had had DEET bug spray! The hammock was what I wanted more than anything, so I wish there were a mosquito net around it so that I could have slept in it overnight.

I wasn't in love with the staff, and I didn't know that the reception staff left at like 7. I didn't even know how to find the restaurant to get a bite to eat, and I left on my hike before they arrived. I couldn't check out, as no one was there to check me out. Logistical concern, but it worked out. I spent several free hours after checking out at the restaurant in its hammock. I loved the restaurant staff far more than the front desk staff.

The room I was in was ajacent to another room. I listen to podcasts on my phone speaker to sleep, and despite not saying anything when my neighbor's loud conversations disrupted my time on the hammock or my first attempts to sleep, they banged on the wall and yelled at me for my podcasts. Not blaming the hotel whatsoever -- but it's something to be aware of when choosing a room. Heads up -- you need to be able to go up and down steep stairs without railings to stay in these rooms.

I could have stayed another day for the view, despite the unfortunate neighbors, relaxing and reading in the hammock, but it was booked up. I still recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ecohab. Breakfast was good . Most importantly the birdcwatching from the room was amazing.
Minca in general is am amazing little town with lot of beauriful hikes, friendly people and wonderful scenary. La cadcada de Miranka, pozo Azul and La Candelaria coco tour are a must do in Minca.

Minca Ecohabs was such a beautiful place to stay!! The staff were wonderful and really looked after us. We were late for breakfast so we would have missed out - but the lovely kitchen and waiter brought us breakfast anyway which was so appreciated! It's a little out of town but well worth the 20 minute walk which is so gorgeous - and means you're in the middle of the forest! it's super quiet except for amazing animal noises. The rooms are great and the bed was super comfortable - we loved it here and we'll be back - thank you so much Minca Ecohaus!!

Amazingly tranquil place

Ecohabs was absolutely incredible! It feels very secluded and just out there in the jungle. The rooms are open air and screened in and the beds have mosquito nets. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful with setting up taxis to and from Santa Marta and other places in the area. The restaurant workers were also lovely and the view is just so incredible wherever you are. I loved this place so much!

Gorgeous bamboo eco-hotel in the rainforest

Minca is a small mountain town, population 1K. This means there are only a few places to stay and Ecohabs is the most lovely of them all. You're nestled on a mountain-side cliff up a dirt road you'd never expect would lead to a hotel so be sure to ask around if you get lost. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The "huts" are gorgeous, each one custom built of sustainable bamboo with a balcony, hammock overlooking the rainforest, privacy and comfort. The bathroom is spacious and had hot water, cleaning staff is thorough and comes through daily. You're in a rainforest so expect bugs and spotty WiFi - that's normal. Would stay here again!

Tropical mountain stair climbing

I'm so glad I stayed at the Eco Habs. Getting there was an adventure. My suitcase and myself were balanced on the back of a scooter to go up the rugged road to the hotel. Leah the receptionist was so accommodating. My luggage was carried to the room. It was just what I wanted, No A/C but a nice breeze coming up the valley. In the morning I woke to the birds chattering and singing. Salvador cooked my meals very nicely and the food was good. I enjoyed eating breakfast looking out over the valley. I took a nice walk to Sweet Harmony, another hotel, and went down to the river. I also walked to Minca and looked around, and bought some coffee to take home. Leah arranged for a taxi to come as close as possible to pick me up. The driver carried my suitcase for me so I only had a short walk to the car. The only drawback here, is there are so many flights of stairs. So I would not recommend it for people with stair climbing difficulty. Also I took a shower but couldn't get hot water. Not a big deal.

Our ecohab had an excellent view of Santa Marta.
It would be better to provide a fan in the ecohab. Temperature rises. The hotel staff was very kind.
A point to improve is to clean the ecohab of dead mosquitoes

Breathtaking Views in Secluded Jungle Paradise

I spent three weeks traveling through Colombia, and my stay in Minca at Minca Ecohabs was by far the best part of my visit. I wish I spent more than only two nights here. The views are absolutely breathtaking. I woke to a Tucan bird and parakeets. The included breakfast is wonderful. These are "no-frills" thatched roof bungalows, but they offered exactly what I was looking for in this Colombian jungle paradise. The bed was comfortable, the shower had hot water, and the experience was truly unforgettable.

Sehr gut! Das Zimmer war schön, mit Balkon und Sicht ins Tal. Das Bett hatte ein Mückennetz also auch keine Mücken die den Schlaf stören. Das Personal ist super. Wir haben Hilfe gebraucht, um rechtzeitig weiter zu kommen und man hat und mit allem was möglich war unterstützt. Vielen Dank dafür! Das zugehörige Restaurant ist genial. Sehr leckeres Frühstück und selbst morgens um 4.30 Uhr haben wir ein richtig leckeres Sandwich auf den weg bekommen. Wir werden das Restaurant sowie das Hotel definitiv weiter empfehlen!

Great hotel for people who love nature. Great views.
The only problem was that our room was next to the road so we could hear the cars.
Other than that, an amazing experience!
The chef of the restaurant, Alex, was great!
He cooked great meals and accommodated the menu to our special needs!

Nur die 4-Bett Hütten haben einen schönen Blick - alle anderen schauen nur den Hügel herunter. Das Restaurant war trotz Zusage am Abend geschlossen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut.

Quel plaisir de se trouver dans cet endroit. On entend un peu les bruits de la route et des environs mais aussi la nature. Nous avons adoré prendre notre déjeuner avec des oiseaux près de nous et avec une belle vue. Nous avons très bien dormi.

Prachtige huisjes met prachtig uitzicht. Van alle gemakken voorzien met een waterkoker voor thee etc. Wel vanaf het plein een klim naarboven als je veel bagage bj je hebt.
Enige minpunt vond ik het wat karige ontbijt. Je krijgt ongevraagd een glas ranja (fruitdrank cq suikerwater)) voorgeschoteld, terwijl ik liever een glas water bij mijn koffie had gekregen. Iets meer aandacht voor het ontbijt zou wel aangenaam zijn met bijv en yoghurt met fruit en daarna een keus van gekookte eieren bijvoorbeeld.

The Hotel is located in the middle of the mountains, beautiful! Staff is very friendly! Hammock is nice, but you hear the Reggaeton beats of the neighbour hostel the whole day! Room was very diasappointing and dirty (especially bathroom and toilet). Almost no light, so you can‘t read in the evening! Breakfast was good, but for THIS room far too expensive

The hotel is located close to the road. Getting there is very easy. You have internet and hot water. It is surrounded by nature and in the morning you can enjoy birds singing. It´s a pleasant experience.
Many foreign people like to go to Minca.
