I booked a 1 king suit and when I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was greeted by a rude teenage kid working the front desk. I was told at check-in that they were completely booked and all they had available is a 2 queen “pet” room available. I informed the rude kid at the front desk that wasn’t what I reserved online. He/she didn’t care to even hear me out and continued to talk over me and said “you get what you get. I declined the room and asked to be refunded and he/she stated there’s no refund possible and continued to get louder and annoyed with me. I asked to speak to a manager and he/she stated there wasn’t one on site until Monday (3 days later). Just an unbelievable experience.

b. we went to take a shower and there were no towels, no little ones or big ones
c. the treadmill didn't work and no sign was found to say out of order. when inquired about it, the management said it has been out of commission for 3-4 weeks.

The lobby was nice, check in went well, but she told us it was a continental breakfast and there were no eggs. Since we wanted protein, we thought we would have to go out to breakfast. We did discover the next morning that there were egg bites and sausage patties to heat in the microwave. The room was spacious and clean, with a fairly large refrigerator for a hotel, and a microwave.

Americas Best Value Sandman Inn exceeded my expectation. It was clean, quiet, had been upgraded (perhaps in the past year). It is located near a Best Western. The room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. Check in person was lovely- even though she was also working in the laundry area. The reason for less than a 5 rating include: Towels are thin; the light in the bathroom could be improved- there is a central overhead light in the bathroom, but the tub/shower area is a bit dark. Shower pressure is good. The plumbing is counterintuitive. The faucet has a central dial. Turning the dial to the full counterclockwise position provides the coldest water, while turning it clockwise back towards the starting position makes the water hotter and then turns the water off. Breakfast was basic but with several options, the toaster provided the warm option for solids. I would stay here again.

I cannot say anything positive about this property. We booked on Tuesday night but felt obliged to cancel the reservation midday on Wednesday because one of our group tested positive for Covid. The response from Melissa was unsympathetic, stating that we were going to be charged no matter what.

We needed a place to sleep while exploring the Pendleton Round Up. This was the perfect place for just that. Friendly staff, easy to get to, right off of I-84. The breakfast is ready to eat food that you cook in the microwave and if that’s not for you, Dennys is right down the road. I really appreciate the front desk receptionist and how helpful they were. I had to print off tickets for the round up and the receptionist was great at helping me get these off my email. For what we needed, this hotel supplied it :)

Breakfast terrible, not much selection. If you wanted eggs and sausage pull it out the cooler and microwave yourself. I have stayed at there sister hotels before will gladly go back to them but never will come back to this hotel. Switching rooms at 11pm because of dirty sheets is a horrible disgusting ordeal

For spending a night while traveling, this hotel was fine. But, the AC seemed to turn on and off then back on. The room was small, which was fine for 2 people, but you could barely hear the TV over the AC. Then, the toilet would kick on sporadically run and sometimes squeal a little as it stopped. I assume it was leaking water slowly from the back and then would kick on to fill back up. The room had everything we needed and appeared pretty clean except for the olive I could see stuck in the drain. The young woman who checked us in was very pleasant and efficient. I would not be against staying here again but I might check a few things and give it a 10 minutes or so before changing and going to bed. Then if there were issues, I would ask to be moved.

This is a nice, clean, older hotel that we stayed at during our daughters graduation at Eastern Oregon University. It has a hot tub and pool and is conveniently located close to the freeway. The stay included a continental breakfast but there wasn't a lot of selection.

The front desk lady was so freaking rude when asking if we could by chance check in early ( we didn’t expect to) she had the worst attitude and when my key would work later that night all I did was tell her a number she didn’t ask a name or confirm that I was actually staying in that room so anyone could ask for a key and they would give it. I witnessed a pizza guy asking for someone’s too with a first name only and she Lundy told him what room the guy was in witch I thought wasn’t ok she should have called the room first to make sure he even ordered anything. Anyone literally could have gone in there and ask for someone’s room and they would point you right to it. The too had holes in the walls paint chipping off. By far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Will not be going back.

Been here before but it definitely has gone downhill. Got the almost furthest room from desk. Keys didn’t work three times. Finally girl came from front desk to help. It worked after she cleaned it, but I had problems with it the whole time. The machines with food and drinks didn’t work with credit cards even though it showed they did. Front desk gal couldn’t help with that either. Said I had a $3.75 credit but wouldn’t give me anything, so I’ve got a charge on my card for $3.75 and didn’t get anything!

Sink was plugged when we arrived, obviously hadn’t been cleaned. The manager did come down immediately and unplugged it and was very apologetic, so kudos to her. Shabby torn chair, part of drape was unhemmed and hanging. The fruit at breakfast was all old, bananas blackened, apples shriveled, oranges soft.
