Exactly as advertised and matches or slightly exceeds pricepoint expectations! Not intended to be luxurious but felt well maintained and clean!
The continental breakfast was modest and simple but for the price point was decent enough. Had affiliate Indian restaurant right next door that was good. Hotel had limited amenities save for outdoor pool but due to weather was not opened yet but all consistent with price point. Great option for people looking for cost-effective options and no need for frills.
Lastly, the staff were pleasant and courteous. In fact the two gentlemen that helped us were excellent!

Where to find the ice machine, info about the grab and go breakfast, that there is a microwave for use in the lobby and how to use the A/C. I had to ask how to turn on the fan because it was getting warm and there is a switch on a far wall that I hadn't seen. Just little things and the staff were friendly when I asked questions, I would just rather not have to ask.

This is a budget small-company hotel with friendly staff & nice views. I'll say right away it's been my favourite in Kamloops & I will stay here again.
It's had a renovation somewhat recently, though the bathroom could've used some work. The pipes make loud noises & the sink was leaking, but it was fixed right away. There's a bathtub, though it's shallow. Regardless, there was plenty of hot water & the plug worked. I didn't, personally like the toiletries, as the smell was very dollar store ocean breeze, & there was no body wash/soap in the tub, just a 2-in-1 wash & shampoo. The hand soap was rough on my hands, so I used my own hair & body wash. Beds & pillows were Goldilocks comfy. No microwave but there's a fridge, coffee but no tea. No available power plugs at the desk, just by the beds.
The beds & surfaces were clean, though the doors & lightswitches could have used a bit of a deep clean. They don't use harsh smelling cleaners, so if you're sensitive to scents this is a great place.
I have mobility issues & they were happy to accommodate. Regarding accessibility, the door to the lobby is very difficult to open if you have a walker or wheelchair & there is no button to open it. As it's on a hill, even if you get a ground floor room, you still get a balcony & a view overlooking the river which was a nice surprise. There's a large step out to the balcony & it is small so it's not very accessible but it's still nice. Doors have multiple locks & I felt safe staying here.

The staff are absolutely lovely. Overall the Vista Inn has a very cute aesthetic, gorgeous view, and a great Indian restaurant next door. Mattresses are comfortable and rooms are decently sized. I’d say if you need to book last-minute for an affordable price; this is the place to stay. However, the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathrooms, floors, mini fridge, and bed sheets need significant improvement. I only needed a 1 night stay last-minute, so I could avoid using the shower (though it was uncomfortable even just using the toilet). For an overnight stay this worked well for me - but if I’m in Kamloops for 2+ nights I definitely wouldn’t stay here just because of the lack of cleanliness.

Motel vibes with hotel quality. Looks like they recently renovated, and they did a great job of it. My room was super clean and the staff were always friendly. Very comfortable bed, and all the basics covered in the room. The breakfast was modest, but very convenient. I happened to get the room at the very corner of the hotel, and the view was incredible. Would easily recommend Vista Inn.

Secondly i booked thru expedia , but when i go to see front desk they had no idea about my booking. They took an hour to figure out the stuff. we were in room 338, which is on the top floor and the very end closest to the indian restaurant. all night we heard squirrels in the wall fighting and scratching. The room facilities are not old, and the environment is very quiet. However, the refrigerator occasionally makes a loud noise when it starts, which is especially disturbing in such a quiet setting. The bathroom faucet has the hot and cold water reversed — at first, I thought there was no hot water. One of the beds has a large yellowish stain near the head area, and the other bed had a strand of hair on it. It’s understandable that some wear and tear happens, but the cleanliness really needs improvement.

Everything was just a ok, a budget motel with some degree of remodeling. The parking lot next to the property seemed like where people gathered at night to smoke joints and drink. Went to enjoy the night view of the town but couldn't stay due to the stink and also felt unsafe.
