We was there before most of the town had opened for the season. Staff was very friendly and plenty of local wildlife. Had visit from friendly fox and mama moose and calf right in parking lot. If you want silence and solitude or be able to pick a star out of the sky this is the place to be. I will be back!

We had a good stay. We didn't expect luxury in a town of 77 people, but room was large for the two of us and it was clean. Nice guy at the desk with a very friendly old dog. Unfortunately the businesses on the side of the street with most of the restaurants were closed due to a water main leak so options were pretty limited for food, so many of us hung out on the porch outside of our rooms and had a few beers - it was an unexpected group activity. :) We did hear the upstairs guests in the a.m. but not when we were trying to sleep. A good bargain if you are needing a rest before the Beartooth Highway or Yellowstone.

The Motel is located in Cooke City, MT, a small community of a couple hundred people (at most) just outside of the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. All of the accommodations in town are a bit on the rustic side. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with room service, a pool etc., you won't find it in Cooke City. If you are looking for a quiet, clean, well cared for property with polite owners & managers, this motel is the place for you. I've stayed here on numerous occasions, have enjoyed each stay & without any hestiation, will stay there again.

We were very misled by the hotel.com sight for the Mountain View. The room was definitely not worth $300 a night. We were at Alpine Too. Floor was weak in the hall to get to our room. The outside door didn’t close properly. No couch in the living room,it was a very uncomfortable wooden futon.
We had a day that we had no water because of sewer line repairs. The doors didn’t shut properly to the room. Back porch was damaged and just had a board placed over it. Our Mountain View was mostly covered by a tree. If you sat on the back porch you could smell the sewage vent from the building directly in front of the porch.

I cannot say enough great things about Alpine in Cooke City! Chad the manager goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. The place is located in the middle of Cooke City with an array of rooms to stay in. The WiFi is great, as Cooke City does not have cell service. The laundry room is clean and free for guests! The northeast corner of the park has amazing wildlife, fishing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park.
We stayed at the suite next to Miners restaraunt and the building is 128 years old!
Highly recommend to enjoy all things Yellowstone and taking things at a relaxed pace.

THE ROOM IS SHOWING ITS AGE, THE SHOWER UPSTAIRS IS LEAKING AND YOU CAN HEAR IT WHEN THEY TURN IT ON AND THEN SEE THE WATER MARK STAIN ON THE CEILING IN OUR BATHROOM. THERE WAS NOT NOISE CANCELLING INSULATION IN THE CEILING AT ALL.
THEY NEED A NEW OR BETTER VACUUM. WHEN I REMOVED MY SHOES AND WALKED AROUND THERE WERE ROCKS AND DIRT THAT WERE ON THE CARPET AND WE ALL TOOK OUR SHOES OFF.
IT WAS A QUAINT PLACE IN A WAY OUT AREA . WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO NOT HAVE AMENITIES, NO POOL, NO BREAKFAST. HOWEVER, THE PRICE WE PAID WAS TOO MUCH FOR THE ROOM WE GOT. I DON'T THINK I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN, I WILL PAY A LITTLE MORE FOR A BETTER QUALITY HOTEL, WHEN I COME THROUGH AGAIN.

THE ROOM IS SHOWING ITS AGE, THE SHOWER UPSTAIRS IS LEAKING AND YOU CAN HEAR IT WHEN THEY TURN IT ON AND THEN SEE THE WATER MARK STAIN ON THE CEILING IN OUR BATHROOM. THERE WAS NOT NOISE CANCELLING INSULATION IN THE CEILING AT ALL.
THEY NEED A NEW OR BETTER VACUUM. WHEN I REMOVED MY SHOES AND WALKED AROUND THERE WERE ROCKS AND DIRT THAT WERE ON THE CARPET AND WE ALL TOOK OUR SHOES OFF.
IT WAS A QUAINT PLACE IN A WAY OUT AREA . WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO NOT HAVE AMENITIES, NO POOL, NO BREAKFAST. HOWEVER, THE PRICE WE PAID WAS TOO MUCH FOR THE ROOM WE GOT. I DON'T THINK I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN, I WILL PAY A LITTLE MORE FOR A BETTER QUALITY HOTEL, WHEN I COME THROUGH AGAIN.

It's an old motel in a small town. Travelers are going to and from Yellowstone. Great place to stop. Can walk to restaurants for dinner. The room was clean and spacious. If I were doing this sort of trip again, I would definitely stay there.
