Stayed one night, and would not have been able to stay any longer. Arrived to stains on the pillows and bath towels. Shower was also not great. The bathroom light was flickering but with some tinkering we got it to stop. Would not stay here again.

Room was clean, check in was easy, staff friendly. I had to leave prior to 7am when the breakfast room opened, so i can’t comment on the breakfast but I would recommend opening up breakfast earlier, most hotels I stay at open at 6am. Otherwise I would recommend staying here, great value.

The entire room smelled like cigarette smoke. The floor was sticky with dirt, the bedding was itchy, and the room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. No tissues or supplies were refilled ,only leftovers remained. The photos online looked completely different from the actual property. I couldn't stay and had to check out immediately. Very disappointing experience.

I booked online to stay here for the first time. The beds felt itchy and when I woke up the next morning, my ears were leaking pus and the whole side of my face was red and itchy with some sort of rash which has never happened before. Two days later and I’m still struggling to get ride of the rashes. Those beds definitely were not clean. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I’ve never experienced such a thing during any of my previous stays at any hotel. This place need a proper inspection.Terrible place

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel.

The staff member at check-in showed unnecessary attitude and was not welcoming. The room we were given did not match the photos shown online. The bed was broken and very uncomfortable, the washroom and sink were dirty, and even the mini fridge was not clean. The heat radiator in the room was also not functioning properly.

To make matters worse, we received three unknown phone calls in the middle of the night, which was very disturbing. There was constant walking noise from upstairs throughout the night, making it impossible to sleep properly. The overall environment felt unsafe and shady.

We had traveled from Calgary in poor weather conditions and were extremely tired, expecting a comfortable rest. Instead, we had a sleepless and stressful night.

All my other accommodations booked through Expedia in Canmore and Calgary were excellent, but this one felt like a complete waste of money.

I will never book this hotel again.

Beds could be upgraded to pillow tops. Couldn’t get the tv working. Bed sheets felt like salt was spilled. Bath tub had a large rust spot. I paid $50 through Expedia so I rated OK. The upgrades with fixtures were nice. I didn’t like that the customers were assigned rooms in one area with the building 80% vacant. My neighbour kept going in and out to smoke. Just wanted a peaceful evening after being on the road all day.

The room was spotless; however, face cloths were not provided this time. Just a small oversight, I'm sure. Howard Johnson's close proximity to the hospital is the main reason why our family are repeat customers. Staff is very courteous and professional. We always leave a tip for the housekeeping staff to show appreciation for their contributions.

Beds were comfortable, no hot water for last 2 days it was only warm. There’s electrical issues, microwave, TV , cable box, and fridge were all plugged into a power box. Coffee pot had to be plugged into the lamp between the beds. Had to ask for new towels, etc,which we didn't need anyways due to the water problem. P pop

The rooms are old, dirty. Broken furniture, no heat. Complained and was “upgraded” at no additional cost. Next room cleaner but not a level you expect even at a budget hotel. Breakfast don’t do it. Kitchen not clean visible grime build up on counters, toaster took forever no jam or honey only peanut butter. Waffle iron not much better. Do not recommend.

There was a burn hole in bed spread with burned melted plastic from the polyester material which would have be washed off in the washing machine so not sure they laundry the comforter on the bed. So I stayed each weekend for 6 weeks. I had 3 other people stay in different rooms during this time as well. Over the course of the time we stayed in 6 different rooms, our classmates stayed in other rooms. Some rooms really need an upgrade or to be finished, but overall, they were ok. The last room, room 7, was probably the best room out of all 10 rooms we saw. between water issues, electrical issues, it just seemed like the rooms were not all finished or done properly. The Staff, however, was fantastic! We were very impressed with how efficient, friendly, and accommodating they were! I encouraged my classmates to join us at the hotel, and our experience at RIH finished early, so I spent the last weekend there with my family, and again, I could not have asked for a better experience. More CLEAN towels would have been nice, but that was only a couple of times, and I had to ask for towels every time we spent more than 1 night, although at the front desk it said that if we left the dirty towels in the tub, we would get new ones. When I inquired, I was told I had to ask, but even when I did, I had to come back to the desk and get some. Working at the hospital, I don't want to be using the same towel twice.

We checked in late but we phoned at 6:30pm telling them we are still 7hrs away and be there late, after midnight.. i called 10x the phone number that was posted on their door. No answer. Rang the bell and takes awhile to open the door and i told the receptionist that i phoned the same number i called when i informed them that we will check in late but he says their phone is not working?! And so we finally get our key get in to the room and i will leave a picture of the facecloth that was in the bathroom, was really disgusting

I booked up this place for our 2 night stay in Kamloops based on exceptional reviews in Expedia but our experience was not satisfactory unfortunately. Coils mattressee were worn out and it was not at all comfortable to sleep on as they had no firmness. Several electrical outlets were not functioning except one, so we could not use our personal entertainments in the suite. The carpet had a dampness which could be felt while walking barefoot in the suite. Breakfast was ok and staff was nice to chat with.

Extremely low budget, room facilities damaged and old, stained sheets and towels, old (possibly original), carpet that is torn and frayed, make shift air conditioner set in old units frame access to outside and Mickey moused in and leaving cords all exposed and lying on floor of room. Dangerous metal pieces sticking outwards of bed frames that can cause injury to guests legs. When this issue was addressed to staff, it was acknowledged as knowing about this and obviously not a concern for the hotel. No bathmat supplied for bathtub so that poses a fall risk. I had to go request one for my safety. Bathtub tremendously scratched, damaged and worn, tub plug and chain was old, extremely rusted and rust all throughout edging of tub, counter was all marked up and deep gouges into countertop, Desk chair had stains in seat. Nothing is supplied to room unless guest goes down to office and asks for products. Extremely disappointed and it is very clear that there is no pride taken in this hotel. Overall, I was grossed out. Very unfortunate. People need accommodations near the hospital and one would hope that hotels would take some pride in their facilities.

I don't know what I was expecting for the price I paid, but with this being under the Wyndham name, I thought it would have been somewhat of a decent stay. What I got was a very old room that was doused in some sort of air freshener to hide the many years of indoor smoking back in the 80s, a few too many years overdue for some new paint, flooring and trim. The desk and nightstand had grooves styled in that were caked with dirt, and had obviously never been deep cleaned. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine. There was a lot of mildew on the bottom of the shower and around the toilet, and a spot of mold on the fan. Some leftover hairs from the previous tenant were also left on the shower wall. There was only one outlet to charge devices, at the foot of one of the beds nowhere near the nightstand. It wasn't all bad, though. The bedsheets were clean, the mattress was comfortable enough, and the free breakfast was pretty good.
