Friendliest service I’ve experienced. The room was very outdated. Bed spread still in use from the 70’s. The end table and tv unit were disgustingly dirty. I had to wash down everything. They still had marks from previous guest and very sticky like something was spilled on them. The carpet and chair were the original ones, very old and disgustingly dirty. Not to mention the smell. We had to keep our shoes on. The outside parking lot was cleaner than the room. We tried to have coffee in the morning, but their breakfast area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. We had to skip their breakfast. The coffee was flavored hot water. So watery, you could barely taste the coffee.

The kitchen was tiny. Bathroom was dirty. Had to clean the bathtub myself. One of the stove tops werent working. Manager and owner seems to only care about money not customer service. We had a family emergency and had to leave asap. Asked for even a partial refund and they said its busy season they cant give a refund not even for a family emergency so we just left. Never going to stay at another Super 8 again.

When we first arrived, the property itself literally made my stomach turn, and the first thought I had was what did I get us into? The area is not good and the building is old with no real upkeep or properly maintained. Checking in was very awkward and very old school. The room itself seemed clean however we noticed it was actually very dirty and disgusting, and the door didn’t seal closed properly. I am grateful that I bring my own towels because there was only 1 for 3 people. There was a foul musty smell that kept me up all night and I was nervous that my car was going to get stolen or broken into. In the morning after a terrible night sleep, we decided to check out the continental breakfast that consisted of cereal, hard boiled eggs, some toast with an actual toaster. Costco muffins cut in half, and milk in a dollar store jug just sitting out in the open. We couldn’t have gotten out of there faster and went for a better breakfast option. We decided 1 night was enough and wanted to check out. When checking out the gentleman never once asked if there was any problems and refunded us for the second night. The funniest part was another couple were also leaving early and also wanted a refund. Although we did receive a refund it wasn’t exactly half, which would have been fair. For 2 nights it was going to cost $519.68 we received $236.64 back. The cost of this rundown establishment is absolutely insane! I really want all my money back and probably would have caused

Stayed at Super 8 Kamloops and was disappointed. It felt more like a motel, not very clean, parking was tight (especially with a trailer), and very noisy from the highway. On top of that, when checking in the staff took my credit card and typed all the numbers into the computer, which felt very unsafe. If you need to authorize payment, it should be done through the machine, not by writing down people’s card info. Overall, overpriced for what you get.

"Pet friendly" rooms are a hazard. I have allergies and asthma, and the carpet was triggering both my allergies and asthma. The carpet is covered in animal urine, etc. I am willing to bet that this carpet has never ever been washed or properly cleaned, they clearly dont even use pet urine eliminator spray. This place is absolutely disgusting. I would never ever recommend staying here, that is, unless they actually clean the carpets, which I bouth they will since they let it get this bad.

I booked a king room and when we got hear and found I had a pet. The would only give us a room with a double bed. The first room the windows would not lock, and we had Tom move to a third room. The room is showing it age looked clean, the bed was comfortable.

Staff was super helpful. Went above and beyond to be helpful. Stayed for 3 days and housekeeping service provided each day. Breakfast was standard motel fare but enough to get you going. There was a bad smell in the room, an unpleasant feeling when walking on the carpet, cramped beds, uncomfortable pillows and bedding. It was dirty and poorly maintained. There were constant strange noises from everything — the air conditioner, the fridge, and something kept clicking and banging behind the wall.

The room was old, dirty, and not worth the value. There was a dirty hand towel on the rack, the room was nothing like the picture, and overall not what we were expecting.

When booking Motel 8 in Kamloops make sure you book the one on the hill because this one is a bit old and run down. LOUD CLICKING water pipes kept us awake. Wear earplugs if you have to stay here. Friendly staff.

The staff here is excellent. You have to remember this is an old hotel therefore some things are run down. They do need to keep more utensils in the kitchen units. We have stayed here numerous times and have had no problems
