The staff on check in were very welcoming. The room was very clean. Looked like it was recently refurbished. The extras in the room are very appreciated, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. I love the location of this hotel. Walking distance to the mall and movie theater. No to far from downtown either. There was only one downside. I had been given a room facing the pool and the one night it was full of kids till 10pm. Very noisy. So if you want to be guaranteed quiet ask for a room facing the outside. I feel also the pool should close at 9pm for kids. I will stay here again though.

The staff was amazing everybody was super friendly and ready to help you with whatever you needed. I really enjoyed the housekeeping staff they were always joking and happy and always made sure I had everything I needed in my room for my stay.
To the delightful lady who checked me in and had to help me get a third party authorization when my credit card didnt work, you are an absolute Rockstar! Thank you for your patience with my confusion and walking my friend and I through getting me checked in. I wish I could remember your name but you absolutely NAILED IT at your job and I appreciate you.

Had to change rooms due to smell. Got new room and pullled out pull out couch and bedding was dirty. Walls had hand marks on them for example some smeared hand marks down them. Overall cleaniness was really poor.

I recently stayed at the Sandman Hotel and had a very disappointing experience. The carpet in the room was absolutely disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. On top of that, the entire room had a strong musty smell that was impossible to ignore. The overall atmosphere felt unclean and uncomfortable, which made it hard to relax or enjoy the stay. I did not feel comfortable staying there and would not return based on this experience.

I am in Kelowna to be with my partner while he's in hospital. Sandman staff is compassionate, helpful and timely with requests and questions. My rooms have been perfectly clean, easily accessed and comfortable to rest in. The pool is clean, the hot tub is large enough for multiple people and the dining is super close for those with mobility challenges. Sandman had been so kind, taking much of the stress of this journey away and letting me feel human. Thank you so.. so much to everyone that has helped me these last 10 days. I'll be here longer than this.. but they have been so accommodating and I do look forward to telling my friends and family how cared for I was by this hotel staff. Thank you everyone, from every piece of my heart.

The hotel had a sign on the door for the room next to us that they were removing asbestos, with the door sometimes open. No plastic....nothing. This is a violation and the heath authority should be contacted ASAP. Absolute no regard for safety.

WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation Part 6 covers substance-specific requirements. While it doesn't explicitly forbid a guest in the next room, it mandates \"Containment and Control.\" If they are working in the room next to yours, they must meet these standards:

Negative Air Pressure: The \"dirty\" room must be under constant negative pressure using HEPA-filtered fans. This ensures that if there’s a leak in the plastic, air flows into the work zone, not out into the hallway or your room.

Decontamination Facilities: Workers cannot just walk out of the room. They must use a multi-stage \"shower\" or \"clean room\" setup inside the containment.

Sealed Barriers: They typically use \"6-mil poly\" (thick plastic sheeting) to seal every vent, electrical outlet, and door.

The Occupiers’ Liability ActBeyond WorkSafeBC, the hotel is bound by the BC Occupiers’ Liability Act.

This law requires property owners to take \"reasonable care\" to ensure people on their premises are safe. If a hotel puts you in a room where you could potentially inhale fibers, they are opening themselves up to massive legal liability. Because of this, most reputable hotels will leave a \"buffer\" of empty rooms around the work zone to avoid noise complaints and safety risks.

My room was as advertised but the furnishings were more worn then expected for the renovated portion. The staff was excellent and the hotel exercise room was great. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean. For the lower price in comparison for the area, I would stay there again.

We stayed in the tower section which hadn’t been renovated yet. There are renovations occurring at this hotel. The rooms were clean but very rundown. I think these rooms should be discounted until they have been renovated. The hotel is in a great location near many restaurants and directly across from the shopping centre.

The manager lady is so disrespectful and she could less to help any issue you may have if it is not how she wants to solve it. You are expected to do as she says or she will tell you to go to another hotel. I had my daughter in the room and never would I allow for any staff especially her to come into the space and make my daughter uncomfortable. I took so many pictures and she could care less to see them. The room was dirty, hand prints on the bathroom mirror and the front door. The window sills are caked with dotted, the staff is also to lazy to put the curtain stick back so the curtains can be opened.
Management doesn’t care and it showed. Thank God we left because this hotel is not comfortable.

I just needed the basic room to sleep at night because I was only in the area for a week and we were really busy and didn't spend much time there in fact a couple of nights we stayed in another hotel in Vancouver.

What I didn't like, I know there's not much of a way around it based on the property but there were these three garbage bins located right underneath my window. That was my view.

One night there was a guy throwing things from one garbage bin into another he was dressed up in a workman type suit so I don't think he was like a homeless person I think he was just working late and it was after midnight and I had to get up early the next day and as soon as I tried to fall asleep I would hear this crash! Throwing things in the next bin.

I don't know if they worked on this all night because at 4:00 I heard voices talking and they were also throwing things so maybe I fell asleep even with the noise and then just woke up again at 4:00 a.m. Then I had to be out by 0-500 that was a hard night.

As far as the maintenance, on my last day there I saw a sign saying that the hotel was under reconstruction and I only wish the best for the future of the hotel because it was in need of repair, and upgrading.

Possibly the worst thing was the HVAC system which consisted of two baseboard heaters and a \"window shaker\" air conditioning unit.

If you left the baseboard heaters on even on low it got too hot, so you have to switch to the cooling at 0400hrs, but then the cooling hon

Kitchen isn’t well stocked. More importantly it’s a joining room which is mentioned and makes it very noisy and feel like others are in your room. Can’t open windows and located right in the parking lot so was very loud. AC is super noisy window unit. Wouldn’t return.

We didn't get the room we thought we were supposed to get (it was smaller and no balcony and broken blinds) but when notified the front desk manager moved us as soon as possible which was much appreciated. The overall rooms are improved from our last stay but still a work in progress. Overall however we really enjoyed - especially the new room. The shower is very powerful, the kitchen facilities all you would need although a bit light re utensils, the bed comfortable and overall clean. We will probably book again.

I was going through a personal time when I checked into the hotel and an accelerated with my personal time of rescuing my autistic son from my ex-husband and they moved mountains for me. All the staff was very helpful warm and loving everything was perfect and this is where we will be staying any place that I go is at the Sandman hotel.
A special note to the Sandman Hotel in Kelowna for the lady who was the supervisor I believe of the cleaning staff I’m not sure she was on site in the evenings helped me up to my room help me work my remote control to my TV help suggest things when I couldn’t rent a car she suggested renting a U-Haul to get around. It’s better than nothing. I have to say good things about the Denny’s giving me pop to go and the bartenders at the little bar inside of there, the grounds were always clean outside and the security that they provide outside for vehicles all night long was a real asset. I never got to swim in the pool or go in the hot tub which I love to do, but I took pictures of it because I think the pool is amazing and the hot tub area amazing. It was quiet in the room the curtains covered the windows, the fan in the room and the heat in the room was perfect. The housekeeping staff was awesome when I needed something. Everybody was friendly. Keep going Sandman Hotel in Kelowna. This is what all hotels should be get high marks in my view and thank you very very much and I hope the lady that I mentioned gets recognition

The lobby area and hallways were in great condition. The staff were present at the front desk. The restaurant options on site are great. Our room definitely needed a renovation, The bathtub and toilet were in poor condition (grout, porcelain, etc) Towels by the pool were non-existant and when asked they did not bring any out for 45 minutes.

There was construction going on so there was some tarps lining some hallways and construction dust. I had to park around back beside the dumpsters and use the side door and it didn’t feel very ‘safe’.
Room was dated and cracked. Not super clean, as there were ‘wipe marks’ on the counters and built up crud in the corners. Stained tiles.
Fridge didn’t work so I pulled it out to see if it was plugged in and the amount of dirt and trash under it was disgusting.
Carpet felt crunchy.
Bed was comfy and looked clean.
Receptionist was nice.

This Sandman is under renovations and should be advertised as such BEFORE booking. Impossible to find your way from tower section to lobby without going outside and around the entire building. In winter this not fun. There is signage but directions were not specific or helpful. Room was satisfactory and staff were pleasant. Until the renovations are complete I suggest staying elsewhere in Kelowna.

Was upset that i asked for room to be done as was changing from my sister staying Friday to my new husband Saturday night and they didn't change or make bed plus i left the dishwasher open so they could start it as i couldn't get it started and they didn't. Otherwise the staff was great.

Second with the renovations happening it was a tinny bit difficult to find out way to the pool from the tower. Lastly we were on the 10th floor and first thing in the morning the water pressure for the shower was very minimal
