Rooms are always spacious and nice. Have a nice fireplace, but it doesn't regulate the temp well enough. The beds are so hard and unbearable. We had a pincher bug on our bed after housekeeping was in. Also got a handicapped room with handicapped shower when we didn't ask for that. So that part really sucked. If I was thinking I would've requested a different room.

This is a beautiful property however the worst customer service. Their free breakfast is a joke. THEY GIVE YOU A BOUCHER FOR ONE SMALL MUFFIN, SOME OLD FRUITS, AND CROSSANT. It was 3 of us so are we all supposed to share that? If you are offering this perk then do it the right way or just don't include that. They just want people to stay there and go to their restaurant so they can order more food because this free deal is a joke. The staff at the TIDES was the worst. Every single server had attitude. We stayed two nights and had 4 meals at that restaurant. All 4 times the servers were full of attitude and not happy to see anyone there. For my morning coffee, the cup that had my coffee had lipstick stains all over it. When i pointed that out to the server he showed attitude instead of apologizing and fixing it. He angrily took the cup and left. It was so disappointing and disgusting experience. It was our first time going to bodega bay and staying at this hotel ruined that experience for us. DO NOT EAT AT THEIR RESTAURANT AND THINK BEFORE YOU BOOK STAYING THERE. THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS IN THE AREA.

I booked the last room available for our last minute, weekend get-a-way for my wife and I. Stayed in room 1006 which is at the top of the hill. Has one queen bed and a pull out sofa bed, one small table and 2 nice sitting chairs. Parking is slightly challenging even on a “good” day. Views cannot be beat. Room windows open to the pool and an amazing view of the bay. Though if you are sensitive to noise, perhaps the pool view isn’t the best. No air conditioning in any of the room, but the windows open for a lovely breeze. The rooms were very clean, ice on site, a complementary bottle of wine, and great staff rounded out a great experience. Skip the “continental” breakfast unless you like bread.

My husband and I stayed this past weekend and had a very mixed experience.

Our stay started on a great note. The gentleman who checked us in Friday evening was excellent — kind, professional, and welcoming. He provided a list of local restaurant recommendations and an activity guide, which made us feel well taken care of and excited for our visit.

Unfortunately, our experience with dining on-site at The Tides Wharf & Restaurant was disappointing. Service was slow and the food was underwhelming for the price. There are many great dining options in the area, and based on our experience, we would recommend exploring other restaurants instead.

For those looking for alternatives, we had a great to-go lunch from Rocker Oysterfeller’s Kitchen + Saloon at the Wharf. The food was good and worth the price, though parking in the area can be a bit challenging.

The best meal of our trip was at Drakes Sonoma Coast. It is on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it — great service, great atmosphere, and excellent food. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time.

Another highlight was the fish market located across the street. The gentleman who helped us (Mark) was very professional and kind. The shop offers a great variety of fresh and smoked fish along with a selection of fun Italian market items. We would definitely recomme

The only thing he said was he would talk to them about the noise. Never stay at this place if you want to enjoy your vacation with quiet nights. You will never get any rest.

We did not go to the pool, the breakfast they offer was not good at all they send you across the street to the restaurant with vouchers to receive oats, brain muffin and croissant fruit and milk for the oats. They call it the continental breakfast, I have had far better at less expensive hotels. The room is pricy so I imagine they factor in that breakfast. I would rather pay less for the room with no continental breakfast. I felt as this hotel was very over priced for the offerings. On a positive note the front desk and hotel staff were pleasant and very friendly.

The bed was very hard and difficult for both of us to get a good nights sleep. The #1 thing every hotel should have is a comfortable mattress, as the point is to have a comfortable place to sleep. Without that basic need filled there is no point in staying at that particular property.

This hotel is a great retreat for a weekend away. We escaped for a holiday away and this was a great hotel choice. We relaxed and enjoyed cozy time with a fireplace and a stunning view. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was a touch outdated but the water was quite warm and the toiletries were great. Parking was super easy. It was a quick walk to the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was perfect on a foggy afternoon. The pool was frigid, but a warmer day it would have been perfection. Having a restaurant on property for our holiday dinner was also a nice bonus. They gave us a free bottle of wine so we brought it home for friends since we don't drink. Having the fridge was a nice feature also because we grabbed some snacks and were able to have an indoor picnic lunch with treats we kept in the fridge.
