The location is fantastic, and check-in was very easy. The Fort Ross Suite was spacious and the view out the front picture window was incredible. I woke up, made a cup of coffee from the in-room Cuisinart and just watched the world for an hour. You can also leave your room, turn right, and head up the hill to the Jenner Headlands preserve which is tough on the quads but the view! Right across the street is the Sonoma Coast State Park visitor center, and just down the road is the River's End, which is mandatory for a cocktail on the deck at sunset. We had a lovely three days on the coast, and much of the loveliness was due to our stay at the Jenner Inn.

The Fort Ross room was perfect. Stayed with my son and daughter in law. The sofa bed was comfy. It was guiet, safe, and comfy. The kitchen is perfect. Small but it served our needs. Love the area and this Inn is lovely.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but no room service for a 3 night stay. We had to ask for extra toilet paper and hand towels at the office. We had a view of the bay, but the windows needed cleaning so it was hard to see out. The little patio and table outside our room was dirty. Overall, the facilities and furnishings are in need of renovation.

Millions of stars!!

Adorable little cottage with balcony with Southern exposure. Everything about the place is sooo cute! From the gas stove for heat to the skylight in the shower! Make sure you go on the balcony after dark to see the millions of stars that are invisible in the city! Sorry we only had one night. My wife didn’t want to leave!

This is great place at the mouth of the Russian river. Quiet place from the city to relax. I had a very good night sleep in the very comfortable beds. This is nice place to stay if you going between Point Arena to Occidental.
I would highly recommend this place.

I was actually greatly disappointed by the accommodations, mainly because they were not at all what was pictured for the room when we booked it. We stayed in the Kayaker, which was pretty good for accessibility, but the pictures online upon booking were not what we had. The two beds were in one space, not separate rooms and the pictures suggested, and the \"patio\" did not overlook anything and was definitely not a balcony. In fact the only \"view\" was of Hwy 1 (with the noise of traffic included.) Lastly it was gravely important that we had working Wifi as we were waiting on an important call from my mother's doctor and on checking in we were told that the WiFi was spotty at best. We had to drive 20 minutes down the road before we received the voicemail from the missed call.

All that being said, if the room and Wifi were represented honestly from the start it would have been a lovely vacation spot with the exception of the noise. The room showed its age a bit, but was actually like a small lovely cabin. We also loved walking around the property where they have a beautiful clearing with statues, gazebo and a stream, plus gorgeous rock formations and vegetation. The innkeepers were also very helpful and lovely, though sadly we had to leave a day early because of the lack of Wifi for medical reasons.

It seemed like they were in the process of renovations for the whole property (as we heard and saw them working on the main building) so I believe it is worth trying again.

We had a great stay, but the bed was uncomfortable (we could feel the springs) and the sound from the neighboring room was loud. However, the staff was super helpful and accommodating, the views were fabulous, and we appreciated the coffee and fridge in the room. We would stay there again, but it would be great if they got new beds!

The unit is actually a small single-family house with both front and back yards. It has excellent privacy. Renovation has been done probably few years ago. A lot of dead ants were found in one of the bathrooms. Sometimes, we can't find any front desk staffs to help us or ask questions. Overall, it was a good stay.

The view is amazing! Enjoyed looking out over the river. The room is beautiful and comfortable. Very nice bathroom with heat. I slept well.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the next morning. Wanted to relax in the chair while reading a book, but the upstairs guests were heavy-footed, so all I heard was loud stomping. I checked out a full hour earlier than planned. Apparently, there is no carpet in the above room so sounds insulation is poor. Will not come back to Jenner Inn unless I get the top floor.

We had the Pelican Suite which is nice! Has a separate bedroom, a small kitchen and a bay window that overlooks the Russian river. The only problem is you hear some road noise from the highway, which is right where the front door is. Other than that, it was a nice relaxing stay.

The property is so charming and remodeled, right on the river. My only regret was not spending a little more for a better room with a view. There are walkways between the rooms and no public area or shared space to enjoy the outdoors and amazing, natural surroundings. The room was very cute, great bathroom and comfortable bed (could use better pillows) The staff was excellent and made sure we were easily able to get in after hours. The little resort/reception area is full of history and charm.

Relaxing stay for a short getaway. The room we stayed in had a decent view of the river and quiet from neighbors. Room is located on Hwy 1 so you could hear the cars driveby. Decor was older. Easy short walk to the river and local coffee shops. Pup friendly!

The only thing we really liked about this property was the view from the deck, it’s absolutely stunning. I seen in the description that it says it’s “rustic” but, I didn’t realize just how rustic is was going to be. Very much in need of some updates, and smelled terrible. The price that they charge per night does not reflect the quality of the cottage, far too expensive.

Stopped here last minute. It is in a beautiful spot, the lady at the desk is very nice and helpful. The only dinner restaurant right next to the hotel didn’t have anything for kids but there were restaurants within like 10 minutes from the hotel. There’s a great coffee shop across the street that gets busy but is very good. They also gave us a little set of muffins and fruit, which was nice.

Nice, helpful,and welcoming staff. The Waterfall house was in an excellent location and very spacious with nice views, quiet and separate from the other cottages. Surrounded by gardens. Staff was kind to let us check-in early .The down side: The stove did not work well and the fireplace was out of service, and the kitchen was limited regarding pots and pans and other items. Bathrooms need a good spring cleaning.

Perfect little get away for our anniversary. Room was clean, but had a weird smell in the room, but we opened the windows and it went away. We had the Starlight room and it was beautiful, overlooking the water. There is no patio or personal balcony for this room but it was still perfect. We stayed for 3 nights, and there was plenty to do all around. Starlight room has utensils, cups, plates, a fridge and microwave.

We loved our stay at the Grey Whale. As others noted, the restaurant isn't open and the breakfast offering is a real disappointment. I recommend not waiting for the office to open for the 'continental breakfast' (there isn't coffee in the office either). Just go across the street to the coffee house or bring your own breakfast.

Beautiful Inn, check in was easy. Great fresh air and views. They don't offer any sort of food at the Inn except a joke of an attempt at breakfast that they apparently give you when you arrive at 4PM that you get to eat in your room the next morning. Not sure what happened to this place, they dont even have any coffee at the office. Food is very limited in town so having food at least for a good breakfast at the Inn should have been an option. Our cottage seemed a bit run down and i wasnt sure if the large amount of steps up to the cottage were going to be safe. Only real option for a good meal in town is The River's End but you had better make reservations days before you arrive since they are booked out several days if not a week out sometimes.

Nice property, but bothered by ants in both rooms, in bed, and furniture. Not lots of ants, but would see or have one crawling on you every 5 minutes. Of greater concern was no window coverings on bathroom that had mostly window on wall facing river and 8 or more homes directly across. Couldn't use shower or bath, and had to use toilet with lights out. Desk clerk really didn't seem to care when told about our concern.

Our cabin is very old, but it was very clean except for a few cobwebs. Kudos to housekeeping. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin is spacious and cozy. It was so peaceful. My husband was so happy that there was plenty of room to park our truck with a boat on a trailer. After-hours check-in was so easy. The views of the mountains behind us and the river views in front were amazing. Hoping to be back again soon! Thank you Jenner Inn staff!!!

overall is good but only notice the unit I book is Gull room and it was under other unit and I believe there is no insulation for the floor so when the family upstairs like kid jump or adult walk i can hear, especially I notice there is dinning chairs above my bed. not too good for the noise come from other unit. and the patio in the front acutally is not able to access, just the side corner with small table can access and other unit can come down without privacy.

The property had a cozy cottage feel to it. Very clean interior and the initial dank smell disappeared after some airing. Linens were crisp and clean. Plenty of hot water everywhere, except the downstairs shower was lukewarm. Nice view from the front deck and internet was reliable and fast. More lights on the 2 flights of stairs going up to the front door would good. Overall a nice stay. I would return.
Note: Manager was looking into compensating for lukewarm water but have not yet replied.

The Starlight Room Was Less Than Stellar

This is an old hotel and it shows. We stayed in the Starlight Suite which looks like a room converted from an old office, with a kitchenette, a giant desk, and two exits. The view was beautiful!

When we checked in they provided us with a bagged breakfast for the next morning, consisting of a piece of fruit, a yogurt, and a muffin. The nice person at the front desk informed us that the beautiful restaurant off the lobby was permanently closed.

The room, as previously mentioned, appeared to be an old office that had been converted and nothing quite fit right. And was very old and mismatched. The laminate floorboards had gaps in them. Some of the windows were too swollen to be able to latch. The fireplace didn’t work, but had no signage saying so, they did have a small space heater for us to use. There was no room heat/ac. We found a previous guests socks under the desk. The wall-mounted TV was kept level with what looked to be a popsicle stick that needed to be replaced.

The room did have a keurig and kcups, but they only supplied us with decaf options.

All that said, it was quiet all night, even being close to the road, and the bed, which was a little too soft for my liking, was comfortable, and the pillows were great.

Cute place with portable heaters. We had to turn them off because it got too hot in the middle of the night. There was an “old” smell in the rooms. Good wifi. Free Breakfast wasn't to or liking. Muffin was way too sweet and made the fresh fruit tasteless. 0t yogurt full of sugar? No thank you, we left it in the fridge. Fortunately there’s a gas station next door that sells better options or try the restaurant across the street for something delicious. Kayaking in the Russian river across the street ( extra fee) was the best part of our stay.

We arrived in town earlier than we thought and asked if we could check in early, and she called housekeeping to get our room turned over right away, and she had someone check to make sure the fireplace was working. She was very friendly and welcoming and professional. Gorgeous water view from the room. Room was spotless. Towels and linens perfect. The building is older and very squeaky and we heard every footstep of the people above us, but it didn't bother us. My only less than happy comment is that the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The frame made a horrible grating metal squeak with the tiniest of movements. (Needs a little WD-40) And the pillows were large, over-stuffed and hard. But, I didn't expect it to be like home and I could put up with it for a weekend. Be aware there's no cell service at all there; you have to use the hotel's WiFi. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!
