The good:
- very friendly and helpful staff, 24 hr emergency line
- clean rooms, good insulation
- beautiful property, right in the middle of Guerneville
- parking not a problem (it's free)
- nice views of the nearby vineyard and foresty hills
- no issues checking in or out (make sure to check in before 7pm)

The ehh...: Room 124, double-queen
- I don't think they were queen beds...def were Full XL's
- bottom toilet seat can't stay still...had to hold it w/ my hand while I was using the bathroom
- NO BLINDS TO COVER THE BATHROOM WINDOW?? My partner (F) obviously wasn't a fan
- massages are really expensive, maybe because it was Valentine's Day weekend

Overall, I probably wouldn't book this place again. Yes, it was expensive due to Valentine's Day weekend, but the omission of the bathroom window blinds was the nail in the coffin for this place.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was perfect. The room itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable, and the service throughout my stay was excellent. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub. It was a great bonus. The only downside was the shower. The water pressure and temperature control weren’t great, which was a little disappointing. If that gets improved, this place would be an easy five-star stay.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again!

Staff was incredibly friendly. Looks like the grounds are still being renovated. Rooms are updated, but some little quirks and things that needs addressing: slanted foundation in the room we were in (not too much a big deal, just quirky), water dripping from sky light in bathroom, bathtub draining incredibly slowly, and what looked like old water/yellow soap stain on comforter ( this was addressed immediately, but not great to see, obviously). The room we were staying in, indicated there were “two” parking spots, but “two” is being very generous. It was more like one, unless you had two very small compact cars. We ended up parking somewhere else on the property. Again, not a big deal, but little details that affected our overall stay to rate as average. And given the pricing per night, not super impressed.

Looks very clean and nice. Wine bar doesn’t exist. If you like pillow top mattresses you’ll be fine but if you don’t like feeling parts of your body drop down to a rock hard surface, the beds aren’t great. We had one desk light that didn’t work. There is not a fireplace but a fireplace switch. Gap between room and bathroom is shoddy and gross. Now to the bathroom- half the lights were out or didn’t match, literally one hanging out of the socket and another covered with blue tape. The shower is an adventure in itself. With the showerhead being approximately 6 inches below the ceiling, if you are 7 feet tall, this is perfect for you! However if you are closer to 5’4”, prepare for the most uncomfortable and awkward shower of your life. The shower head sits so high that the water mostly hits the wall. I literally was pressed against the wall, trying to rinse my body without my face and hair being pummeled by the extremely strong water pressure (this was the good part). Teeny tiny shower so if you are under 7 feet tall and try to wash sand off your feet, be ready to start to fall out of teeny tiny shower while trying to wash and avoid volcanic-esque shower water hitting your face. For the $300 a night we paid, this felt more like a $100 motel. My complaints to the hotel resulted in being offered a TEN percent discount (so nothing) for our next stay. Don’t bother- we will always stay somewhere else.

Our room was a deluxe suite with kitchenette. The room was very large and had a very nice balcony overlooking a wooded area. The room was not fancy, but the bed was very comfortable which is my primary criteria for judging a room. The best aspect was that it was a very short walk to restaurants and coffee shops in Guerneville. I would stay there again.

We were charged one price by you and then we got to the hotel and were charged an extra hundred dollars. Also their pool was gross full of moss and they had no wine bar on premises that was advertised on their website. We were also told we had a patio with a valley view, but we had a balcony with a somewhat garden/parking lot view. Also, Saturday morning we were woken up by tree trimmers right outside our balcony.

We had a wonderful stay at West Sonoma Inn. My friend and I booked a room with a deck with views of the vineyard. It was so relaxing. We spent most of our time on the deck drinking wine and catching up. The town is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It was a great location and in the morning we walked to get breakfast before heading out for a short hike to Armstrong State Park. Naveed was so helpful and granted us a late check out as well. He was very nice and I hope to return with my family.

Lovely property! Starting with the best part - location! Walkable to the entire Main St area of restaurants and shops. And we walked to Johnson’s Beach which I really appreciated after seeing the line of cars trying to park!

Quiet and updated rooms, good AC, easy parking. The pool was relaxing and I loved having a deck facing the valley, beautiful scene for morning coffee!

Although confirmed for pay in person I was called repeatedly and required to pay in advance because it was busy and they had other interest. The room did not have a separate patio as described, There was an event happening that limited parking and access, Upkeep of grass, property and amenities did not match prices and event impacted access to amenities. Pets were allowed at pool while mine were restricted, staff available was limited.

I travel a lot, and this was one of the worst. The unkept room with no heat, stained furniture and bedding, patio that looked over a construction site, someone's hair in linens, ticks in bed, internet unsafe connection with no password, no elevator to second floor. Need I say more, save your money!

Quiet location very close to everything, and the staff (Naveed) was very nice.
However, we got switched to a different room the day we arrived because the hot tub wasn’t working.
We were told besides the queen size bed instead of a king, the room was exactly the same, and had the same views etc.
The room I booked had a kitchenette and a bathtub/shower and a view of the vineyards and redwoods.
The downgraded room had no kitchenette, no bathtub and no view. It also felt older, so even though it looked clean it was run down.

This is feedback I sent to the inn management. They did not respond.

Wow, what a bummer. Yes, I could turn off the whole hvac unit, but it meant no heat whatsoever so the room got really cold. And while your comforter is nice, it holds in too much body heat. So I either was too hot or too cold and barely slept. Getting into the bed was really difficult as it's so high. I have a bad knee and I had my hip replaced 5 weeks ago so it was a real challenge getting into and out of the bed. Your floor color hides the fact that the floor has not been cleaned in some time. I did not bring slippers and I was constantly wiping dirt off my feet. Your internet is essentially nonexistent. Last nite I could access a couple of articles but 90% of the time things just timed out. My iPad essentially was a brick. I ran a speed test last nite, it barely read 1 MB. At 3AM, it read 15M and this morning I couldn't even get enough bandwidth to get a reading. And since Verizon only has LTE in Guerneville, it means I can only make phone calls and send texts but not access data. All very disappointing.

When i arrived the Inn looked a little tired from the outside. However, everything on the inside was clean and neat. When i checked in, Naveed, the Inn host immediately upgraded my room. My room was spacious and had a comfortable king size bed. Naveed would text me just to check in and make sure my needs were being met. I texted to book a massage and my appointment was confirmed within 5 minutes. I would recommend staying there if you're ever in Guerneville.

Tucked just off the main street of Guerneville, California, this quiet collection of comfortable spaces provided the get away I needed. My four legged, furry friend and I enjoyed a newly remodeled king bed suite. It was the size of a studio apartment! Although the bed was too high for my short legs, it was luxurious. My two complaints are more inconveniences than complaints: the WiFi and cell service was so bad that I found myself cut off from the Internet. That’s not really a bad thing. The pool was not heated, so swimming on the last day of summer didn’t happen. If I find myself needing to get away from the stress of everyday life, I will absolutely return to West Sonoma Inn and Spa.

In the Heart of Guerneville!

Great location with nice rooms (they seem newly re-done). The ground are nice but could use an update. The pool was relaxing and had a great view of the trees. There is a vineyard next door as well. Manager was very nice and gave us an upgrade. Bed was super comfy and fairly tall (we are short folks)! Easy to walk to stores/cafes/restaurant and river!

Clearly a facility at which I have stayed for twenty years has fallen on hard times. Too much wheeling and dealing-thinking you are getting a \"deal\" when you are not. No attention at the front desk or evidence of service of anytime. Services that were around for years are no longer available. One man show. Hazardous conditions around the pool and total confusion of policy. Sadly a reasonably good value is now a cheap rendition of its former self.

This is a very old property that's been nicely updated. It's a great location walkable to all of downtown Guernville. The rooms are large and beds are comfy.

On the downside, you definitely hear your neighbors walking around, talking, toilets flushing and showers running. It wasn't bad enough for me not to stay there again. It's just an old building. It's also VERY pricey for what you get!

Staff was hard to get a hold of leading up to this trip. We called several times and left several messages before we were responded to and almost cancelled. No trash cans on site in common areas to get rid of pet waste or waste in general bless you are in your room. Rooms look like they are fairly newly renovated and are super clean. EV chargers are available onsite - had I known, I would’ve taken my EV instead of my ICE car.

Once the gentleman finally showed up to the check in lobby to check me in, things were fine.

Customer service and hospitality could def use some work.

We’d give this place a chance again just because it is clean, dog friendly, and centrally located in Guernville, but they could really use some work on their entire customer experience from beginning to end.

The view from the room was just beautiful and exactly like the pictures and description. Vineyard, forested hills, barn and fields. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful. There was a minor issue with the key card not working, but the owner took care of it in a timely manner, and he was very helpful and welcoming. The room was newly renovated, beds were incredibly comfortable, kitchen appliances were new and everything was sparkling clean. The outside of the buildings are more rustic (not renovated as recently as the interior) but this wasn't a problem for us. We loved the balcony overlooking the vineyard. The location is perfect and we went hiking in the Armstrong Redwoods and went to the beach in the same day (seeing a bald eagle on the beach and we saw birds, wild flowers, and banana slugs in the woods - very cool). We will definitely be back.

It was rainy and gloomy upon arrival but we were able to check in a little early and warm up. They allowed for a switch to a king room instead of two queens, which we appreciated. Little things like a non-working bathroom fan and a janky shower head occurred but overall a clean and comfortable room. It would be great to go back when it's summer time and enjoy the pool. The walkability to town and bars/restaurants is wonderful!
