The room was very small. The property had limited ADA bathroom accomodations. The overall property was unkept with deferred lawn maintenance. The property presented as well kept in the picture. I was very disappointed with the accomodations and how the property looked. I would not stay there again!

It was really peaceful and I loved the atmosphere. The place is surrounded with tall, lovely trees. It’s true that the beauty of nature has its natural healing itself. I enjoyed my stay here, and would love to come back in this place next time.

One thing we wished to have is a one more extra chair in the room so that we can sit and eat our breakfast in the room. Also we would like having better soap that was not hard initially and melt so quickly. I wanted to give 5 stars but these points could be better.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome. We enjoyed the room. The only thing that we were bummed about were the ants coming in. They rushed in as soon as we had food in the fridge and water running in the bathroom. It's hard to keep them out in my own home, so I can understand but wish that wasn't the case at the hotel.
About the location. My son got a nice, quick haircut from a salon just across the parking lot :) We had dinner at the restaurant across the lot, everybody is so friendly and nice. They had live music and we enjoyed our food (portions were generous). Will come back for more fun.

Casa Secoya is a delightful and affordable place to stay. It's less than a 10-minute drive to Guerneville and close to all that Monte Rio has to offer. The owner Javier was very helpful and attentive. The pool is great for laps and convenient to have Bia Cafe next door.
The room is comfortable but the bed creaks. Because the rooms look out on to each other, there is not much privacy and you need to keep the shades down.
Their website recommended Iron Horse Winery, which was a real delight!

I didn’t like that my wife had to climb some precarious stairs . They should have a ramp to get to rooms for handicap. My wife uses a cane as she has a bad knee. Also they need to provide more safety grab bars in bathroom. Eliminate bathtubs and provide walk in showers.

We love it up here. A true gem by the Russian River. This was our second stay up here and the staff and property are amazing. Spacious cabins, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and overall decor. The pool is such a treat, especially for the kids. And Javier, the property manager has been so accommodating and helpful during both our stays. Of course, super close to the beaches so a really convenient location. We plan to make this our regular summer getaway spot!

Had an adorable little cafe on premises and golf course directly next door had a very good restaurant. Beautiful clean space. Close to safeway and other town restaurants/stores. Comfortable bed, couch and twin size bed by hallway. Clean bathroom as well witha very nice shower/tub. Kitchen has basic essentials (recommend to bring hour own spices, oil and extra pan if you plan to cook). Absolutely lived our stay.

Casa Secoya ruined my weekend getaway
I would review the rooms and location here...but I can't because I could not get in.
Booked two nights at Casa Seyoca for this past weekend and, per their website, called ahead to set up a late check in (check in is from 4-7 and I thought we might be 7:30). I left my first voicemail at 2:15pm, which was never returned. I called multiple times before finally getting a hold of someone at 5:15 who said that the office was already closed (wow, check in is only one hour???) and that they would email me information about how to access a lockbox/get into our room within 15 minutes. That information never came.
I called and called -- a total of 8 times throughout the day -- and left another voicemail with multiple phone numbers and email addresses. I never received information about how to get into this building. Because I live 90 minutes away, I was not willing to chance the drive (which is on rural roads) only to not be able to get into the hotel. And no one called us to ask why we hadn't ever checked in at all...
I would not recommend staying here -- even if you want to, you might not be able to get in! What a waste of time, money and hundreds of dollars. STAFF YOUR OFFICE PROPERLY.

I called multiple times before finally getting a hold of someone at 5:15 who said that the office was already closed (wow, check in is only one hour???) and that they would email me information about how to access a lockbox/get into our room within 15 minutes. That information never came.
I called and called -- a total of 8 times throughout the day -- and left another voicemail with multiple phone numbers and email addresses. I never received information about how to get into this building. Because I live 90 minutes away, I was not willing to chance the drive (which is on rural roads) only to not be able to get into the hotel. And no one called us to ask why we hadn't ever checked in at all...
I would not recommend staying here -- even if you want to, you might not be able to get in! What a waste of time, money and hundreds of dollars. STAFF YOUR OFFICE PROPERLY.

Stayed in one of the cabins (#22]), which was great with a dog. Very quiet and away from the road with a fenced in common space. Kitchen was well stocked, towels were good, bed was OK. Our main complaint was with the furniture. The couch was horrible! We’d have been better off sitting on the floor. Also, the chairs at the dining room table were too tall to fit under the table, so you couldn’t sit in them comfortably to eat. Just felt like the hotel didn’t care if you were comfortable in the space. I would’ve given them more stars with just a few upgrades!

We checked in at 5:00 our room wasn't ready until 5:30 , we had to wait for the room to be done , one of the keys didn't work , we went to dinner came back at 9 pm and door wouldn't open , luckily I had second key . People in the room next to us were very loud at midnight and 6 am.
