Fabulous location right across from Central Station, a 20 min train journey to Copenhagen airport. The room is small but perfectly functional for 2 people. Bed comfy. Town centre right behind hotel with lots of bars and restaurants. Canal tour leaves from just across the road.

Great hotel, in a very good location at a great price. It was right across from the bus we took from Copenhagen, and was close to the city centre. The room was small but clean and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Staff were efficient and helpful. The only thing that let it down were the beds which were very soft - too soft for me and my wife.You could sit on the bed, and it would sink almost folding in half.It was tough to get out of in the morning. But we had a great time in Malmö, and we would stay again.

Breakfast room was airy and bright. There was also plenty of choice, and excellent coffee. The Moments staff, in the breakfast room and at the front desk, were so nice and pleasant. My room was fairly plain, Scandinavian style, but was clean and comfortable. Location is so handy to trains and shopping/cafes and the main square.

I was half naked in the room when the door was suddenly opened, it was the receptionist saying “you called on the hotel phone to request a phone charger”
There was no phone in the room!
I never requested anything!
The receptionist did not knock on the door, she just opened it!

Outstanding hospitality at this conveniently located IKEA hotel. The hotel located very close to Malmö Central station, making it convenient for long distance and city travels.

The rooms are small but cleverly furnished to make one comfortable. Linen and rooms are spotlessly maintained.

Front desk staff (Alexandra, Hadia) are always welcoming and helpful.

Included breakfast is both healthy and plenty. They even provide packed breakfast should you choose leave early.

Stayed here on multiple occasions and will be my first choice at Malmö

We were initially given a room on the top floor (6th) with the double bed against the wall and the bottom of the bed touching the other wall. This meant that if my husband wanted to use the bathroom in the night, he would either have to climb over me to get out of my side or wake me up to get out so he could then get out. A helpful receptionist showed us the only alternative room which we accepted as although it was also against the wall, there was space at the foot of the bed for him to slide down the bed to exit it from the bottom. Had this configuration of a double room been shown on the website, we would not have booked this hotel. On the plus side, the bed itself was comfortable and the included breakfast was excellent.

It turns out that storing something in the store room is free if you do it at checkin, but costs 30 kr (about 3 Euro or 3 Dollsrs) if you want to do it any other time. I have stayed at several hundred hotels across mostly Europe, and never ever experienced this. Deeply disappointed at this hotel for this. I will probably find another hotel in Malmö for my future stays.

Moment Hotels across the street from Mamö Central station continues to be my only preferred stay location while at Malmö. Clean and functional rooms at reasonable rate, convenient location, friendly and efficient staff, as well as an excellent included breakfast give me no reason to look anywhere else.

Fabulous stay and great breakfast!

The staff at the breakfast work so hard to put out a beautiful spread. Although there is no hot food everything was fresh and delicious and they would do it with a smile every day! I asked about vegan butter and was kindly offered vegan cheese as well. Thanks breakfast staff you were the nicest folks ever!

Conveniently situated hotel close to the Central Station and the Old Town. My room was small, as expected, but it was clean and all the fixtures and fittings were of good quality and worked without a problem. There is an extensive buffet breakfast included in the tariff. Overall an excellent base for a visit to Malmo and the surrounding area.

Basic with some benefits

This is a super basic hotel. Meaning, no room amenities (water kettle, instant coffee, mini fridge or bar), no decorations, thin carpeting in the rooms. There is one single on the sixth floor witha balcony but you're not allowed to smoke there. On the plus side, it's cheap, close to the central station, comfortable bed, and breakfast is pretty substantial. And a rather late check out (11:00), so on balance it was fine. The service staff were polite and efficient, like the rest of the country.

Spent multiple nights at the hotel while on holidays. Did not request the room to be cleaned until I noticed there was something on the bedsheet. I then requested the room to be cleaned. Came back hours later the bed was made with new towels (hopefully clean). The floor was not swept. Dirt was still on the floor from me hiking the day earlier. And the bedsheet was never changed. The bed was only made. Disgusting. Leads me to wonder if the sheets are ever changed between guests.

Lovely breakfast, very tiny room

I second everyone who commented on the good quality of breakfast. The team was also really helpful and made sure to replace any empty containers as fast as possible. You also get access to the microwave in the eating area 24/7 if you'd rather grab something from the supermarket than eat out. I couldn't add an extra day without cancelling my whole booking on Hotels.com, so I contacted the hotel directly and was able to book the extra day separately without having to check-out and check-in again, so kudos to the team. Malmö is a small city, but be aware that the central station is not really the main area, which would be around 15 minutes walking from the hotel. The main drawback was just that the room was really tiny, not at all like the photos. While photos are illustrative, they should also upload realistic photos of the tiny rooms so you're informed of your real options. One of us was working from the hotel every day, so it was quite uncomfortable to do it from the room, especially since we didn't have a front view, instead the window closely faced another hotel building, so we were directly staring at another person's window. The blinds were not enough to keep the light out and chromecasting didn't work on the TV, only smartview.

Let's start it is not a 3 stars hotel. It is a level of a hostel (though years ago i lived in a hostel, and it was way better ).
No design, no cozyness, no hygge - just a grey cells with tiny bathrooms, where you couldn't even to put your hair brush. 8 square metets could be planned more smart, with less entrance area and more living area and bathroom.
The TV is usefull, just a few channels with news and old movies and chromecast that didnt work.
The hairdryer fell apart, i didnt dare to use it. No cleaning for 2 days. The towels were old and tiny.
The breakfast is ok, if you enough with the sandwiches and pastry. The sheets were ok too.
But still the worst is the stuff. Unfriendly, poor english, didn't want to make anything to solve the problems with the luggage room - it is paid, and even though they cant organized it. That is ridiculous.
It is a great location, but there are hotels in each building in that area. I regretted many times that i havent chosen one of them - the price wasn't much more expensive. I cant believe they take equal 3 stars hotel.
It is worth no more than 500 krons a night, otherwise i strongly recommend you to choose something else.

Be aware if booking a standard double room, it’s is very very small. The bathroom is the size of a wardrobe. The bed has 3 sides against the walls. I didn’t feel this was clear from the photographs on here. The bed itself is very soft. Location of the hotel is excellent and the staff nice. Breakfast I found quite limited and the tables were dirty. There is a lovely terrace you can enjoy your own drinks and snacks on which was a great bonus in the evenings. There is no bar at the hotel.

The hotel is situated in a central location, 5 minutes walk from the train station and river cruise. Close proximity to restaurants, cafes and historic buildings, parks etc.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the free breakfast was superb!!
The room was spacious, clean and functional. Great value for money and highly recommended for a trip to Malmo.

I arrived in Malmö having had my reservation in another hotel canceled, with no options provided. I made a last minute reservation at Moment Hotel and was happy to know there was a person at the reception. The young man was kind and immediately solved my problem by giving me a room, when I was otherwise left stranded at 2:00 am by the other hotel. I am very grateful for the immediate support I received in those terrible circumstances. Thank you.

It was quite clean and quaint. It's located very conveniently near Malmö centralstation, so it's not a bad choice if you're visiting Copenhagen too.

The one major downside was the WiFi almost never worked while I was there. I was assured it was a temporary outage, but I stayed two days and it appeared to not have been resolved.

Great location. Next to Central train and bus station. Many attractions nearby. Rooms are small, but comfy, and after all I only really slept and showered there as I was out most of every day. It is a great base if you want to get out and about. The staff are really nice and friendly, and very helpful. I was in room 603 and had a great view of the Canal and central station. I would stay here again. Good price for its location as well.

I have just returned from a 4-night stay in Malmö at the Moment Hotel and I cannot fault it at all. I had a small room with no window, but this didn't matter as I sat in the breakfast area, which was always quiet, when not out and about. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. For a budget hotel, it was excellent. Tack så mycket.

I should state from the beginning that I'm accustomed to spacious American hotel rooms so I was surprised at how small and simple the room was. The entire bathroom could fit in the footprint of bath tubs in American hotels. But to judge the hotel on American standards would be unfair. As a friend pointed out: this is the land of IKEA, so expect things to be small, simple, and inexpensive. And to be fair the square footage for the room was shown on the website so I shouldn't have been totally surprised.

Beyond the compact nature of the room, the hotel was quite nice! It's a stone's throw from the train station and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. The bed was comfy and the room warm and I had no problem getting to sleep or staying asleep. The breakfasts was also appreciated and nicely presented.

I couldn't get the TV to work so I deducted a star, but that's probably not fair because it's not like I'd be able to understand swedish TV anyway.

If you're just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep at night while exploring Malmö the Moment is an excellent choice especially if you're looking for someplace close to the train station.

Room very small but offered all the comforts plus a beautiful sky view. Very clean. The only weird thing, that I didn't understand, was all lactose free at the breakfast. I would have preferred a yoghurt with his \" fermenti lattici vivi \". Smiling was an effort for the staff but available anyway.
